Reason: Hello! I'm requesting ecp protection today for MrBeast. Jimmy is one of the most high profile internet personalities globally, making his page a prime target for persistent vandalism. his high search volume and frequent media coverage regularly attract disruptive edits from badfaith users. enforcing extended confirmed protection ensures that only experienced editors with verified account history can modify the Page. i honestly feel like this will prevent coordinated trolling from LTA's and other vandals. Also, I feel like MrBeast just needs ECP. Arbitration enforcement. (political views related to israel) ~2026-40874-44 (talk) 03:44, 22 July 2026 (UTC)

While there hasnt been vandalism recently.. not that i know of at least. He is still subject to vandalism ~2026-40874-44 (talk) 03:45, 22 July 2026 (UTC)

Declined – No changes to the current protection level are required at this point in time. As you note, there is no disruption currently, and thus ECP is not necessary at present. Staraction (talk · contribs) 03:47, 22 July 2026 (UTC)

Neither Israel nor Palestine are mentioned in the article, so an arb enforcement isn't justified. Even if his views were mentioned, the majority of the article falls out of scope. In solidarity, nil nz 03:59, 22 July 2026 (UTC)

Autopatrolled

I plan on filling out all the Bivalve-related redlinks, and I do not want the might of these mollusks to fill the backlog. - RealGatba (talk) (contribs) 23:13, 19 July 2026 (UTC)

Hey RealGatba, thanks for volunteering! Articles about species are fortunately not very taxing on NPP as they have fairly straightforward notability expectations, making autopatrolled unnecessary for that particular use case. I also have some concerns with your recent creation Jiro Makiyama, which is tagged with {{One source}} and doesn't clearly demonstrate the subject's notability. I'm going to mark this as  not done. TechnoSquirrel69 (talk) 00:40, 22 July 2026 (UTC)
Hello! the Makiyama article requires more translation from Japanese Wikipedia, where there are many sources. I unfortunately had issues with utilizing Wikipedia’s translation formatting software when translating the lead (which was my first time utilizing the tool). So I have been waiting for a day to be cleared specifically to work on translation without worrying about the interruptions that would interfere with the process, hence the incomplete nature of the article. But I absolutely understand your concerns, and I do genuinely appreciate the feedback! - RealGatba (talk) (contribs) 00:55, 22 July 2026 (UTC)

I have created over 40 articles which has reliable, independent sources (excluding an set index article) out of the 55 articles I created, primarily about US articles, including mostly factories, some vehicle models, and a few biographies such as Whirlpool Clyde plant, IC Bus CE Series, and J. Douglas Adams. I was still planning to continue contributing and creating new articles every week. My old request I requested it on June 28th of this year was not done because it has less than 25 articles. This is my second attempt to grant my autopatrolled rights. Thomasfan1916[built buses?] 20:46, 20 July 2026 (UTC)

Automated comment This user has had 1 request for autopatrolled declined or withdrawn in the past 90 days (). MusikBot talk 20:50, 20 July 2026 (UTC)
@Thomasfan1916: I declined your request because of the several issues I identified, not because you had created less than 25 articles. I'm concerned that most of the manufacturing plants aren't notable. You seem to cite a combination of press releases and trivial coverage. Why is Adams notable? voorts (talk/contributions) 20:59, 20 July 2026 (UTC)
@Voorts: I think the notable, deceased person (non-BLP), J. Douglas Adams article has reliable, independent sources from these newspapers like Brentwood News, Contra Costa Times, and Brentwood Press. Thomasfan1916[built buses?] 21:05, 20 July 2026 (UTC)
Brentwood News and Contra Costa Times are both owned by Media News Group. I'd count them as one source for notability purposes. This Brentwood Press piece is a eulogy by a colleague, not independent reporting. voorts (talk/contributions) 21:53, 20 July 2026 (UTC)
Also, a another Brentwood Press piece from 2007 is a made by a author, not by a colleague, like other reliable sources from Brentwood News and Contra Costa Times, this source is independent. Thomasfan1916[built buses?] 02:01, 21 July 2026 (UTC)

I was pleasantly surprised to be granted rollback rights yesterday, and that led me to think about other permissions. I create a lot of articles, and frequently receive review notifications. There are rarely any problems with my creations, and I think it would help if I could be autopatrolled. Happy to answer any questions. Thank you. Jack (talk) 21:46, 21 July 2026 (UTC)

Why is Edward Gill (cricketer) notable? voorts (talk/contributions) 23:25, 21 July 2026 (UTC)
@BlackJack voorts (talk/contributions) 23:27, 21 July 2026 (UTC)
Top-class player, and only the second wicket-keeper on record. Little is known about players before the 1770s, although cricket was certainly a major sport for thirty or more years beforehand. The fact that we do know a reasonable amount about Gill underlines his status as one of the leading players of his time. It's also known that he played for the England teams of the day, and those always showcased the best players. As such, he would be the equivalent of an England Test keeper today. Hi there! I am applying for NPR rights, because I want to help with the backlogs and think I have been around enough to be trusted to know what I am doing (or be able to figure it out when making mistakes). My goal would be principally to help with the massive redirect backlog, as I have gotten more familiar with this area, including in categorization; however I will in all likelihood also review articles, and would not be requesting the perm if I was not confident in my ability to do that properly. I regularly participate in the XfD pages, including AfD and RfD, and have done some content work myself. I admittedly lack speedy deletion experience, but I believe I have a good grasp on the criteria.

I have a clean block log and enjoy helping newer editors figure things out (including through mentorship but not only), while I also have limited anti-vandalism experience, just enough to know what to do and where to go. I have not and will never edit for any kind of compensation. Choucas 🐦 22:27, 21 July 2026 (UTC)

I have been quite active on Wikipedia. I spend considerable time identifying and reverting obvious vandalism, fixing BLP issues immediately and cleaning up unsourced and dubious additions in the articles I follow and watch. I would really like to obtain the privileges to review pending changes so I can help ensure that all articles substantiate edits under the pending changes in good faith and in compliance with the policy. I understand that most of the work would consist of detecting obvious bad things such as vandalism, BLP breaches, plagiarism, libel, personal attacks and accepting edits that passed the basic checks without going into extensive discussions on sources, bias or expert accuracy (these are discussed by the watchers later). I have studied Wikipedia:Reviewing pending changes in detail and I am aware of the instructions, I will accept edits that do not seem to violate some core principles, revert or correct wrong ones and do not carry out even basic review more than that. For a little over a week and a half, I've been patrolling recent changes to spot vandalism or otherwise disruptive edits. Occasionally, I come across such an edit on a page that's had pending changes protection applied to it. For these kinds of edits, while I'm able to revert bad-faith edits, I'm unable to accept good-faith edits and must leave that task to those with the pending changes reviewer permission.

I feel that this setup is less-than-optimal. If I were able to both reject and accept those changes, I would be reducing the backlog of pending changes and could thereby expedite other processes on Wikipedia by giving other users less work. Considering this, I'd like to request the pending changes permission in order to do so. Salmon of Knowledge (talk) 16:47, 19 July 2026 (UTC)

Rollback

OK, I've reviewed what I was told at my last request. I now have over 200 mainspace edits. I've tried singing up to CVU/A, and now I'm just waiting. Requesting rollback permissions to try AntiVandal, Interceptor, and Huggle. And everything else. Patrolling RecentChanges seems to be the only thing I do nowadays, and I would like rollback to be able to fight vandals better. AZenit3 [Chat?-stuff I've done] 01:47, 25 May 2026 (UTC)

Been patrolling recent changes for some time now with Twinkle, and I would like to try using more advanced tools like Huggle which require this permission. TheNerdzilla (talk) 13:45, 29 May 2026 (UTC)

Hello. I have rollback in my account at Simple Wikipedia. Having tried this evening to counter the activities of ~2026-33439-05 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log), I think it would be useful to have rollback here too. I work almost exclusively on cricket articles at present, and it is a subject that frequently attracts vandals. Thanks. Jack (talk) 19:28, 6 June 2026 (UTC)

Reason for requesting rollback rights: I have been doing RC patrol for the last while, and would like rollback to be able to more efficiently fight vandalism. I understand that my changes that I make while using this tool are my responsibility. signed, A Random Hylian (Parry)(swing) 12:26, 15 June 2026 (UTC)

Not done Not yet -- reverting constructive edits with no explanation isn't compatible with rollback. * Pppery * in solidarity 00:34, 21 July 2026 (UTC)

Done for 3 more months -- you didn't really give us enough evidence to review in the previous trial because of your low activity. * Pppery * in solidarity 00:34, 21 July 2026 (UTC)

I've been patrolling recent changes frequently. While my account is still somewhat new (nearly 2 months old), I do have over 1.2k edits so far - with many involving reverting vandalism (but I have also wrote new articles, reported users, participated in afd, and improved articles). I always warn users after I revert their edits. Ever since I have gained access to Twinkle, it has made patrolling so much easier. I would like rollback permissions to be able to use the antivandal and interceptor tools too. Those tools would make reverting much more efficent. FlammablePizza (talk) 19:29, 18 June 2026 (UTC)

Hi. I've been reviewing drafts at AfC, COI requests and NPP for quite a while now. Might consider trialing Huggle in the medium term as part of my modest toolbox. Thanks :) PK650 (talk) 06:36, 25 June 2026 (UTC)

Not done None of those have to do with rollback, and no recent changes patrolling experience. * Pppery * in solidarity 00:36, 21 July 2026 (UTC)

Hi, I am requesting rollback rights in order to combat vandalism more easily with WP:Interceptor, particularly on recent changes, which I have been patrolling for a while. I have read and understood WP:Vandalism, and aim to follow all of its guidelines. Every nonconstructive edit I have reverted (mainly via Twinkle), I have added a user warning to the editor's talk page. Axolitl (talk | contribs) 19:50, 25 June 2026 (UTC)

Request made one day in advance. My rollback privileges expire tomorrow, and I have been using Interceptor constructively. ozmoozmo@enwiki$t.c 01:13, 30 June 2026 (UTC)

I would like to request Rollback rights. My last request was on 18 May. According to previous advice, I have tried to follow a clear workflow, including issuing warnings and reporting Vandalism, Block evasion, and Disruptive editing at AIV, RFPP, and AN/EW. In addition, I use Twinkle for warnings, reports, and reverts. AriuCH (talk) 18:27, 2 July 2026 (UTC)

Hello! I would like to request rollback permissions to streamline correcting cascading vandalism. I have no history of editorial conflict, have experience in anti-vandalism work, a healthy edit count, and would also like to integrate automation into my editing workflow. Additionally, I am aware that rollback permissions are not — ipso facto — a license to act, and that any action taken must be taken with the assumption of the rolled-back edit(s) being undeniable vandalism. If there are any particular concerns I do not address, please feel free to inform me thereof. Thank you! Chat-qui-Aboie (talk) 06:32, 7 July 2026 (UTC) Chat-qui-Aboie (talk) 06:32, 7 July 2026 (UTC)

Not done Too little overall experience to qualify for advanced permissions. * Pppery * in solidarity 00:40, 21 July 2026 (UTC)

I've recently been using SWViewer and Twinkle to revert vandalism, so this permission would be very useful for me. I'm already very familiar with how it works, as I already have this permission on other Wikimedia projects. -- 🐦‍🔥 Aws 💬 Talk 14:23, 12 July 2026 (UTC)

I would like to rquest Rollback permissions firstly in order to make use of tools like Huggle & AntiVandal. Secondly rollback permissions will allow me to increase the speed of my workflow as most of it consists of RC patrolling edits by unregistered & new accounts. My contribution history demonstrates that I have multiple months of RC Patrol experience and no history of edit warring. At the time of writing this I have 656 live edits of which 220 are in the Main namespace and 262 are in the User Talk namespace, this shows my track record of consistently notifying editors when reverting their edits. Hi! I've been fixing small mistakes in Wikipedia off and on for about eight years now (more specifically five years in the English Wikipedia, eight in Finnish Wikipedia), ending up with about 740 global edits, out of which roughly 500 are in the English Wikipedia, and recently I've been interested in upping my participation in patrolling recent edits. I've been eyeing using Interceptor to improve the work, but that unfortunately is off-limits to non-rollbackers. Thanks! Seqv (talk) 22:17, 16 July 2026 (UTC)

Not done Not enough recent anti-vandalism experience. * Pppery * in solidarity 00:41, 21 July 2026 (UTC)

I would like to fight vandalism more effectively, and tools like Huggle and Interceptor seem like they would be very useful in doing so. Wikipedia is awesome :) WikipediholicRat (talk) 00:29, 20 July 2026 (UTC)

Requests for template editor

Template editor

Hi. I am requesting TE rights so I can make edits to template-protected template faster. I have numerous (over 5) template requests, of which I believe around 5 have been accepted, and have made over 3 sandbox edits. My main template edite are those which help readability on Dark Mode while minimally affecting light mode, such as my series of edite to Wdefcon templates ({{Edit COI/backlog}}, {{AfC information}}, etc.). With TE, I would be able to make more of these, alongside others. Axolitl (talk | contribs) 22:49, 14 July 2026 (UTC)

Having counted again, I believe I have at least 4 accepted, 1 pending, and 2 declined edit requests? Axolitl (talk | contribs) 22:19, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
I also don't know if this matters, but I just had another edit request answered, leaving me at 5 accepted edit requests. Axolitl (talk | contribs) 03:17, 16 July 2026 (UTC)
Requests for temporary account IP viewer

Temporary account IP viewer

I'd like to request temporary account IP viewer rights, just in case more than one temporary account disrupts Wikipedia. I reported two edit wars, one containing multiple unregistered users and one with a registered user. On a template, I also reverted vandalism two weeks after a temporary account vandalized it. Slackintosh (talk) 21:30, 18 July 2026 (UTC)

I regularly check for and remove/tag certain blog/tabloid sources that are frequently reintroduced to pages by nobility SPAs, many of whom are block-evading. When I can identify an IP-hopping LOUTSOCK (e.g. "Brazil IP obsessed with descendants of Pedro II") it's easier to anticipate where else disruption might be occurring under different IP addresses. JoelleJay (talk) 10:54, 20 July 2026 (UTC)

Requesting permission for the purposes of detecting sockpuppetry. Khirurg (talk) 14:28, 20 July 2026 (UTC)

I like to grant my temporary account IP viewer rights, just in case an temporary account disrupts Wikipedia by vandalizing some of the articles. Thomasfan1916[built buses?] 01:11, 22 July 2026 (UTC)

Because I couldn't read the temporary account policy, I going to mark this request as icon withdrawn, and I will focus on granting my autopatrolled rights. Thomasfan1916[built buses?] 01:23, 22 July 2026 (UTC)
