User Names Report
editI am new to Wikipedia editing: Anno7 just reported my username (just created): Can we talk about it? AIethics was already taken - I don't mind changing it if its is thought promotional but please let me know how such things are evaluated and when so that I can change it if necessary. Is it blocked until I change it? Can I just change the user name and keep the content of the page. I wish that whoever reported this could have discussed the issues with me first - otherwise it's just discouraging. AIethics.ai (talk) 13:22, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @AIethics.ai. Because your username blatantly violates the username policy, this issue needs to be handled at WP:UAA. Whether or not you get blocked depends on the administrator's decision. If you are blocked, follow the administrator's instructions to be unblocked (including changing your username). Your page will not be deleted unless it meets one of the speedy deletion criteria. Miss Earth in India
editThank you for the note. I confirm that I am the director of Miss Earth in India and therefore have a conflict of interest. I have now added a disclosure to my user page in line with Wikipedia’s paid editing and COI requirements. I will not edit the article directly and request that independent editors review the draft for suitability. Miss Earth in India (talk) 05:42, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Miss Earth in India,
- Thanks for doing that. Make sure you disclose your conflict of interest on your user page. Follow the instructions on your talk page or here, WP:DISCLOSE.
- Additionally, you need to change your username because it violates the username policy; specifically, your current username is promotional and does not represent you as an individual person.
- If you need further assistance or have other issues, please post your question at the Teahouse. Annh07 (talk) 15:26, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
Reverting on EFFPR
editHi Annh07. Please don't revert good faith false positive reports like you did here because they are badly formatted. It takes a few seconds to fix a badly formatted report. Thanks. Daniel Quinlan (talk) 19:34, 19 January 2026 (UTC)

- If you want to include her date of birth in the article, you need a reliable and verifiable source. If you're unfamiliar with how to cite, please see Help:Referencing for beginners. Annh07 (talk) 19:12, 31 January 2026 (UTC)
Adding details from IMDB
editHi,
I added a statement in the biography of Hania Aamir that was rejected 3 days back because the source is IMDB. Does this mean this cannot be added to her Wikipedia page? ~2026-60793-8 (talk) 11:27, 1 February 2026 (UTC)
- Based on previous discussions, the community has concluded that IMDb is not a reliable source; see WP:IMDB. However, you can still add information about her as long as you can provide a reliable source. Any unsourced content is subject to removal and cannot be restored without providing a reliable source. Please see WP:PROVEIT. Annh07 (talk) 11:51, 1 February 2026 (UTC)
- OK. Thanks ~2026-60793-8 (talk) 12:03, 1 February 2026 (UTC)
- I am adding the details again with some other link. You may please remove it if this still cannot be accepted. ~2026-60793-8 (talk) 12:09, 1 February 2026 (UTC)
- I appreciate your efforts. However, unfortunately, I declined. The reason is that IMDb is unreliable, and therefore other sources citing IMDb are also unreliable. You know, the article you're viewing on IMDb was posted by a user; anyone, including you, could post a similar article. Most of the information on IMDb is user-generated content, and combined with IMDb's lax moderation, it becomes unreliable. Please see WP:USERGENERATED. Annh07 (talk) 12:54, 1 February 2026 (UTC)

- @Toadspike This has happened to me a couple of times before; however, this is the first time I've seen an article disappear due to a move conflict. Anyway, the issue has been fixed. You did a great job! Annh07 (talk) 11:07, 8 March 2026 (UTC)
- Heh, thanks. It disappeared because I was trying to delete the redirect under G6, but by that point you had already moved the article there. Relatively speaking, this incident wasn't so bad: I once accidentally deleted Tropical Storm Co-May while trying to move it and didn't even notice until someone pinged me...not my proudest admin moment. Toadspike [Talk] 11:15, 8 March 2026 (UTC)
- Oh, I see, there has to be an administrative action (deleting) for an article to disappear like that; otherwise, it would still exist even if a move conflict occurred. Annh07 (talk) 11:26, 8 March 2026 (UTC)

Explanation
editI only left the times on the Day page in the 12-hour format, which is the officially used format in English. Since English doesn't use the 24-hour format, I removed it. ~2026-17341-60 (talk) 15:53, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- As far as I know, the 12-hour format is commonly used in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, while the 24-hour format is more widely used globally, and it's also the international standard. Annh07 (talk) 16:11, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- I thought better of it, reverted my edit to the previous one, including the 24-hour format, but with the 12-hour format in parentheses. ~2026-17333-03 (talk) 20:11, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- I also think that's the best way to present it. Annh07 (talk) 20:51, 19 March 2026 (UTC)

Follow-up on Promotional Content and Guidance Request
editHi Annh07,
I apologize for the promotional content I added earlier, and I appreciate you bringing it to my attention. I understand the importance of following Wikipedia’s guidelines and will ensure my future contributions remain neutral and properly sourced.
I would also like to ask about similar cases I’ve noticed, such as the flail mower page I edited earlier. I have noticed that our competitors, Mechmaxx and Woodmaxx, appear to include promotional content. I came across these while conducting research, and I understand that this does not justify my edits.
Could you please assist me on how situations like this should be handled or reported appropriately?
Thank you for your time and guidance.
Yours sincerely,
JacobLavin JacobLavin (talk) 22:13, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @JacobLavin,
- I've removed the spam links of the companies you mentioned. Whenever you see spam links or promotional material in articles, you're encouraged to remove them.
- This is the important part for you. You mentioned above that "I have noticed that our competitors"; this means you have publicly disclosed your affiliation with the organization you are promoting, or in other words, you have a conflict of interest with that organization. Wikipedia has guidelines on conflicts of interest that editors with a COI need to follow; please see WP:COI, WP:PAID.
- To keep Wikipedia neutral and non-promotional, editors should avoid editing articles with which they have a conflict of interest. While editing with a conflict of interest is technically not disallowed, it's discouraged. The recommended best practice for editing an article where you have a conflict of interest is to write on the article's talk page, suggest an edit, and tag the request with the {{edit COI}} template to flag it for volunteers without a conflict of interest to implement.
- If you need help, please post a question at the Teahouse. Annh07 (talk) 23:31, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
Follow up.
edithello, I saw you deleted my duplicate on the review ppage. I apologize for that as it was accidental. Thank you. Jakerrr1 (talk) 18:37, 26 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Jakerrr1 No problem. Your request needs to be evaluated by an edit filter helper or manager, so please be patient. Submitting duplicate reports is unnecessary. Annh07 (talk) 18:48, 26 March 2026 (UTC)
658jf
editHey! Thanks for all your anti-spam efforts. I see you on my watchlist nearly every day! I just stopped by, one as an FYI: I indef'd 658jf because checkuser shows they're a block-evading spammer, and second to say feel free to report spammers at a lower threshold. AIV is hit and miss unless they're persistently spamming from one account but WT:WPSPAM is available. I get notifications for new reports there (and the spam blacklist). I'm happy to look into almost any obviously bad-faith spammer because a lot of link spam comes from black-hat SEO firms and there are usually more accounts and more links out there. Best, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 16:06, 28 March 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you, WT:WPSPAM seems like a better choice than AIV/WT:SBL for reporting spammers at a lower threshold. Annh07 (talk) 17:30, 28 March 2026 (UTC)

- Actually, I prefer to do my editing work as freely as possible, and although I still do some administrative work every day, I have no intention of becoming an admin. I never imagined I would receive so much support from you all. Annh07 (talk) 10:15, 13 April 2026 (UTC)
- Interesting point about working 'freely'. For me, the period before and just after my RfA felt less free, as I knew people were more likely to look at my edits in detail and I didn't want to ruffle feathers. That stopped quite fast after my RfA however, and I now edit as freely as before. WP:ADMINACCT is secretly how most respected non-admins already work, as being responsive is simply part of being part of the community. There are some admin actions that require follow-up, whereas others rarely do. For instance, I've heard people giving out many AE sanctions say they feel less free in their editing, as they remain the first port of call for an appeal. Other tasks (like working at CSD, UAA) very rarely have follow-up. If you ever change your mind and would like to not wait on admins to action your reports, my email is always open! —Femke 🐦 (talk) 13:08, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
- To echo what Femke said, I'm also happy to discuss further if you change your mind! I try to think of adminship as just some extra tools so I can do things myself rather than needing to asking someone else (though do still get a second pair of eyes on things at times as appropriate). -Kj cheetham (talk) 16:38, 15 April 2026 (UTC)

"move-protected" edit request(s)
editHi Annh07, thanks for those RM/TR moves. I'm trying to clean out the tracking category, and per brief discussion with an admin I believe all of the following redirects-from-merges should have |redirect=yes added to the editnotice. Edits in this namespace are restricted to PM/TE/sysop and making a talk page to suppress a maintenance category through a {{TPER}} just seems silly, so could I ask you to please add that parameter to the following pages:
- Template:Editnotices/Page/26 December 2024 Israeli attack on Yemen
- Template:Editnotices/Page/April 2025 Brooklyn clashes
- Template:Editnotices/Page/Ayman Siam
- Template:Editnotices/Page/Headwater Diversion Plan (Jordan River)
- Template:Editnotices/Page/January 2015 Shebaa Farms incident
- Template:Editnotices/Page/Khalas clan
Thanks, ScalarFactor (talk) 20:50, 23 April 2026 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Hey @ScalarFactor, I've done as you've requested for the first five & since I created the editnotice on the redirect target for the last one, just G7'd and moved that one. I've also gone through and cleared out all but three of the tracking category for you. If you ever notice any more of these feel free to ask me, since I've been active in the area recently and some of these might be my fault anyways. IMDb sources removed
editHi @Annh07, removed the IMDb sources for this article: Draft:Clyde Magbanua. Anything else needs fixing? ~2026-25497-96 (talk) 05:55, 27 April 2026 (UTC)
- Hi, currently the sources are still too weak to imply notability (WP:CREATIVE / WP:NBASIC / WP:GNG). I encourage you to find at least four to five independent, reliable sources that provide significant coverage of the subject. Annh07 (talk) 22:13, 27 April 2026 (UTC)

Knee Scooter page edits
editHi @Annh07
You have sent me a message about removing the links from the edits I made to the knee scooter page. However, it looks like you have removed all of the content, not just the links. Please could you advise as I am new to this! Foot&AnkleSupport (talk) 13:16, 5 May 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Foot&AnkleSupport, the source you used as a reference is unreliable because it's a commercial site, so I've removed it. Please see WP:ELNO, WP:LINKSPAM. Once references are removed, unsourced content may be removed per WP:V. I combined both in a single revert. You can add the content back as long as it comes from a reliable source and doesn't contain spammy links. Annh07 (talk) 14:08, 5 May 2026 (UTC)

May backlog drive
An article-only backlog drive is currently underway. We are hoping to make a big dent in the backlog. You can read more about it or join at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Backlog drives/May 2026.
PageTriage
An attempt was made to get the New Pages Feed to sort by date marked as reviewed instead of date created. However we had to revert it due to bugs. We may try again in the future. You can subscribe to the Phabricator ticket if you're interested in following along.

Myuoh kaka roi
editUser talk:Myuoh kaka roi Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring&mdash ~2026-31364-18 (talk) 13:25, 25 May 2026 (UTC)
- If you want to report a user for edit warring, please report them here. Annh07 (talk) 13:43, 25 May 2026 (UTC)
- I wasn't involved any any edit wars in any related recent topics and I didn't violated three revert rule so remove all of these baseless allegation Myuoh kaka roi (talk) 15:59, 25 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Myuoh kaka roi Don't worry if you haven't done anything wrong, nothing can happen.
- @~2026-31364-18 I see you've posted a similar report at ANI. Please clarify this matter. Note that if you cannot provide a satisfactory explanation, your actions will be considered harassment of other editors. Annh07 (talk) 16:17, 25 May 2026 (UTC)

Claremont Computer Network
editDear Annh07,
You declined my submission on 2 June 2026 regarding the Claremont Computer Network here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Claremont_Computer_Network
This was allegedly because my draft was not adequately supported by reliable sources and my references did not show that the subject meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion for organizations and companies.
I would like to bring to light documentation for your consideration which can be found using the California Business Search provided by the California Secretary of State (https://bizfileonline.sos.ca.gov/search) or from the American Registry of Internet Numbers Whois-RWS (https://whois.arin.net/rest/net/NET-23-142-172-0-1/pft?s=NET-23-142-172-0-1).
Is this sufficient to have my article on the Claremont Computer Network be approved upon a subsequent review, provided that I also include a paid template disclaiming my conflict-of-interest (COI)?
Best regards, Tesfa at the Claremont Computer Network (talk) 05:10, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
- They aren't saying the business does not exist, they are saying it does not meet Wikipedia's notability criteria. A listing for a business number and a LinkedIn page is not enough to show that it's notable. SuperCode111 (talk) 05:15, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
- Dear SuperCode111,
- Thank you for your input. That is understandable. I argue that we should make an exception for the arbitrary tradition that a business need to appear in a newspaper in order to announce its formation. The Claremont Computer Network LLC is recognized as an active business by the California Secretary of State and holds IPv4 addresses from the American Registry of Internet Numbers. I am seeking to gain further clarity as to whether that will suffice for notability. Otherwise, it's pretty straight-forward to have an article printed in a recognized primary source.
- Best regards, Tesfa at the Claremont Computer Network (talk) 05:22, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
- That is not the "arbitrary tradition" and we cannot "make an exception". Editors are just random people who decided to edit, and we don't have any extra rights nor is there a person to ask to make an exception. Please read WP:N and there you will see the notability rules, you need "significant media coverage" among other things. SuperCode111 (talk) 05:32, 2 June 2026 (UTC)

Clintonian Triangulation move
editHi, I just wanted to specify what happened regarding the Clintonian Triangulation move.
I moved the page from 'Triangulation (politics) to 'Clintonian triangulation' since the page primarily talks about Clinton, I then decided less than a minute or so later to revert it back to 'Triangulation' and added a discussion in the talkpage of whether 'Clintonian triangulation' is a more fitting name or not. The Capitalization of 'P' in 'Politics' wasn't intentional, it was a just typo.
If I had negative intentions or ignored naming conventions - I wouldn't have reverted the page back to 'Triangulation Politics' and started a conversation in The Talkpage of which name works better for the title of the article. Best Wishes. Apallo334 (talk) 20:33, 10 June 2026 (UTC)

editHi i saw that you revered the edit for the "Hugh of Cyfeiliog, 5th Earl of Chester" at Wikipedia:Requested moves/Technical requests. Can you explain why you revered it with this edit. ~ŤheŴubṂachine-840≈ ● ✒️ 17:50, 13 June 2026 (UTC)
- @Cosmic840 This request is not yet complete, why did you remove it as completed? Annh07 (talk) 17:53, 13 June 2026 (UTC)
- Because the i started the RM at Talk:Hugh of Cyfeiliog, 5th Earl of Chester and i removed it as completed. ~ŤheŴubṂachine-840≈ ● ✒️ 17:57, 13 June 2026 (UTC)
- @Cosmic840 I understand and I don't object to you removing it, but it's clear that this request is not yet complete; if you want to remove it, please use an accurate edit summary, such as "started an RM". Note that the script doesn't allow you to provide an edit summary, so you should remove it manually. Annh07 (talk) 18:14, 13 June 2026 (UTC)
