Hey there! I just wanted to reach out as I noticed you've added a few maintenance templates to articles recently. Per MOS:ORDER, I wanted to point out that these generally should be placed above infoboxes. You're doing great work—simply some brief feedback for the future. Happy editing, and let me know if you have any questions! Bsoyka (t•c•g) 01:16, 10 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

I can see you are a new editor, and your contribution seems to be drive-by tagging. Please take a moment to fix some of the problems you are identifying, rather than leaving them for other editors to fix. Thanks for your understanding. Magnolia677 (talk) 16:38, 13 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Biden addressed the very serious issues from the documentary "The Hunting Ground" (2015), which discussed assault on college campuses. I don't understand why it was deleted. Starlighsky (talk) 03:15, 11 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, but don't ask me! I only reverted your edit because you didn't follow the bold revert discuss rule on that article; I don't have any opinion on Joe Biden's contribution to that event. I have already sent a message to @Zaathras directing them to the talk page entry you made.

Hi. USA is the 3rd largest country by population. China is a not a democracy. India is a democracy and it even states on their Wikipedia article that they are the world's largest democracy by population. Now isn't it just a simple deduction that the USA would be the world's 2nd largest democracy by population since China is not one? Not really sure if I need a source for this. Alexysun (talk) 03:04, 22 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Alexysun Well, the verifiability policy states that material that is "likely to be challenged" should always be cited. Not every reader out there will know or care about the political status of China and India, nor even their population. Based on that, it should be cited.

Hi Toby, I hope this is the right place to reach out.
My name is Kane Carter and I'm directly involved in the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise. I've personally released two official games for it in the past few years under the Fazbear Fanverse Initiative. I've seen that the Wikipedia article for the Five Nights at Freddy's series has had some internal discussion about whether the Fanverse should be recognised on the page. I would love to give some insight on the Initiative, as well as possibly provide useful information for the rest of the series page based on my time as a fan and a developer for the series.
If you or anyone else working on the Wiki is interested, please DM me on Twitter, "kanethecarter", or "POPGOESdev". I'm happy to answer questions and clarify things regarding the Fanverse, or my own series in it.
I am not going to personally edit things on the page, to avoid a conflict of interest issue, but I will say it's sad to see the Fanverse being so broadly dismissed as a simple footnote. I was hoping that it being a huge part of the anniversary event this year would give it some well deserved credit, but it appears to still be seen as a mere group of "fangames" which is not correct.
Thanks for reaching out KaneCarter! As a fan of Fnaf, it's super cool that I get to hear from someone so influential from the community! To address your concerns, unfortunately, your edit requests may not be able to be implemented in the actual article. First of all, I don't know for a fact that you're the real Kane Carter. I personally trust you, but I shouldn't jeopardize the integrity of the article in case you're not actually him (I also don't have Twitter).Secondly, your help counts as a Wikipedia:PRIMARYSOURCE, which is discouraged here, as Wikipedia heavily relies on Wikipedia:RELIABLESOURCES that proves the information can be Wikipedia:VERIFIED. Maybe it's possible you can drop some info to a secondary publication (see a list of sources here), and they can write about it so that Wikipedia in turn can use it.Again, thank you for reaching out and trying to help Wikipedia. You can read Wikipedia:EDITREQUEST for info on how you could request changes on a talk page, and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Thanks. TheWikiToby (talk) 22:17, 7 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

On October 25, we will start the voting phase. The candidate subpages will close again to public questions and discussion, and everyone will have a week to use the SecurePoll software to vote, which uses a secret ballot. You can see who voted, but not who they voted for. Please note that the vote tallies cannot be made public until after voting has ended and as such, it will not be possible for you to see an individual candidate's tally during the election. The suffrage requirements are different from those at RFA.
Once voting concludes, we will begin the scrutineering phase, which will last for an indeterminate amount of time, perhaps a week or two. Once everything is certified, the results will be posted on the main election page. In order to be granted adminship, a candidate must have received at least 70.0% support, calculated as Support / (Support + Oppose). As this is a vote and not a consensus, there are no bureaucrat discussions ("crat chats").
Any questions or issues can be asked on the election talk page. Thank you for your participation. Happy electing.

Hi TheWikiToby. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:
Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or Ultraviolet. It just adds a [Rollback] button next to a page's latest live revision - that's all. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only. Never use rollback to revert good faith edits.
Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose or any other inappropriate purpose, the rights will be revoked.
Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask!
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Fastily20:18, 22 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello TheWikiToby. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Looky (Rainbow Friends), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Notability is not a speedy deletion criterion. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 17:51, 31 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Whpq I was requesting more so an WP:IAR/WP:SNOW delete rather than just notability. Seven editors have all decided on a delete in the AFD, so I don't see any reason the discussion should last longer than even a day imo. TheWikiToby (talk) 17:58, 31 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

You can look at the OP's (Original Poster's) user page User:Caman9899. They put up the template signalling their account's retirement which means they intend to indefinitely pause all editing on that account. TheWikiToby (talk) 03:39, 9 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, TheWikiToby,
I don't know why you tagged this page for speedy deletion, CSD U1 is only for tagging your own User pages for deletion, not other editors'. You shouldn't have even been editing this page, please do not tag other editors' User pages for deletion unless CSD U5 applies or you want to tag them for an MFD discussion. But neither of those factors applied here. In general, it's best to edit within your own User space and leave other editors' alone. Thank you. LizRead!Talk!19:14, 14 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Liz Hello Liz. The author opened a Teahouse thread asking for their sandbox and that page to be deleted, but did not know how to do so. I tagged it for them with an explanation in the template explaining why.
The custom text in the template is pretty hard to notice though since it's not differentiated from the background or default text in any way, so it's completely understandable to miss it. TheWikiToby (talk) 19:39, 14 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hey, so you deleted a post in PayPal Honey for not having the correct or reliable sources. Whilst that is fair enough, you are mistaken for I am not the one who added the reference, I merely just edited part of the description, not adding the reference and simply just added a few words. I am not saying to add it back, I'm just saying you accused me of adding the thing without a proper reference, which was the previous user. FreckleTheCat (talk) 21:20, 22 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hello @FreckleTheCat. While you didn't add the YouTube source, you still added information from that source, which is deprecated. Hello! I just joined Wikipedia to fix a reference that links to a malicious website. However, when I enter the editor, the References section completely changes, and the part I was going to edit is no longer there. (Upon exiting it returns) I’m not really sure what to do, and would really appreciate your help. --ValleyDragon888 (talk) 12:30, 31 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hello @ValleyDragon888. I'm glad to help! Can you tell me which article you're trying to fix and what reference leads to the malicious website? I could try to see it myself to fix the problem and tell you what went wrong. Tarlby(t) (c)17:14, 31 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
@ValleyDragon888 Just an FYI, that link directs to the Simple English Wikipedia which is a separate wiki from the English Wikipedia (the one we're editing right now!) I don't edit that wiki, so you should ask editors over there rather than someone like me for questions like this.
I've checked, and the References section indeed changes when I start editing. Unfortunately, I'm not too experienced with the functions of those templates and am unsure of what causes this to happen in the source code. You can ask someone more experienced with templates for that. I can still remove the reference in the source editor though.

Hi, Tarlby. I have just edited an entry on Maconochie rations by adding an additional comment plus citation. The reference has automatically created a hyperlink for the author (Henry Buckle) to another Wikipedia article. Unfortunately the link is to a different person bearing the same name. I am trying to disable the hyperlink but keep the citation, but this does not seem to be working. How can I achieve this, please? Regards, Bees'n'wasps. --Bees'n'wasps (talk) 19:39, 1 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the question, @Bees'n'wasps. Assuming you're using the Visual Editor, this is how the link can be removed:
Select the reference and click "Edit". A popup should appear
On the left sidebar, you will see a list of parameters. Deselect "Author link" when you see it.
Click "Apply changes" to the top right and publish the edit
I've just removed the link for you. You can go back to this in the future if you need help with this again. Help:Template also has a ton of information for templates.PS: There shouldn't be a space before a citation. Tarlby(t) (c)20:01, 1 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

Regarding that user (i.e. the one who kicked me off to their talk page), thank you for your reply to help redirect them to be civil and constructive.
On a positive note (and sadly I would have posted this on their talk page), I find that they redirected their actions towards constructive editing, which is a good glimmer of hope when it seemed like all was lost. Nothing contentious or disruptive yet, but still worth keeping an eye on.
The attitude and disdain showed, makes me wonder if the 14 represents their age? But again, their redirected efforts and backing down from the being argumentative is a good sign. Cheers! I've been just a Wikipedia reader up until today. Earlier this year two friends in the hack community offered to create a wikipedia page for my previous life stating that if I do not seize control of the narrative someone else will which I politely declined. I would like to learn how to create a page and maintain it and wonder what are the requirements in order for me to create a page about literally myself using my handle in the hack world of the late 80s/90s on forward. (seems a tad vain lol). There's already a-lot of articles out there by Forbes, Vice, Network World, etc and a few years ago someone added an hacker database entry (soldierx 'hacker database') which lists my real name so I have decided to do this but am ignorant to the ways and means so my apologies for typing overmuch and if this is beyond the scope of what a mentor is supposed to assist with. --Trickyb33 (talk) 17:38, 28 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
I'm having a little difficulty understanding exactly what you're saying, but I believe you need help on info about writing an autobiography here?Short answer: You really shouldn't try it. If you want, you should learn to edit other areas of Wikipedia to understand the culture and expectations before trying to write an article.Long answer: Please see WP:AUTO, WP:COI, WP:GNG, WP:BIO, WP:RS, WP:V, and other WP:GUIDELINES. Creating an article is really hard for most inexperienced editors and especially those who have never edited before. Before we get to the general article writing difficulties, creating an article about yourself isn't exactly the best thing to do (WP:AUTO]]. Unconscious biases will probably creep in violating WP:NPOV. The article would also need multiple reliable sources (WP:RS, WP:V) that prove the article is notable (WP:N). But if there really are multiple articles by Forbes, Vice, and such, then maybe it is actually possible. If you really want to try making an article, make a WP:DRAFT and submit it to WP:AFC for review. Make sure it also complies with WP:MOS too! Tarlby(t) (c)05:29, 29 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hi there,
I set up a new Wikipedia page on "reticular materials" and it is an "orphan". Even though I added links to the page from other related pages, it still says so. How can I change that?

hi, i'd like to ask if it is advisable to use foreign language sources on the english wikipedia. for example, i was recently editing some paragraphs about railway systems and i felt that chinese-language sources had more and better information, so i cited quite a few chinese-language sources.
also, can i cite information from other encyclopedias (e.g. baidu baike, britannica) or user-generated content (online forums, youtube, etc.)?
thanks! --Psnq0009 (talk) 01:57, 16 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hello @Psnq0009! I think it'll be very beneficial if you read our guideline Wikipedia:Reliable Sources as it covers everything you should know about sourcing and reliability. To answer your specific questions, non-English sources are fine to use as long as they're reliable of course.
For more specific cases, you should see WP:RSP which lists commonly questioned sources from this community and the outcome of those discussions. Crowd-sourced wikis like Baidu Baike and (ironically) Wikipedia are considered unreliable to use. Britannica is considered to be somewhat questionable.
User-generated content is considered to be automatically unreliable as we don't know the qualifications or trust worthiness of the user. However, this rule doesn't apply to known experts who happen to contribute to something like YouTube.

Hey, I just published a new article. Would you know how long will it take for wikipedia to publish it? Also, do I have to do anything manually to ask wikipedia to review it or does it automatically get passed on to editors for review? --Saimkhoja07 (talk) 11:10, 18 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hello @Saimkhoja07, and thank you for contributing to Wikipedia! Most people would create an official WP:DRAFT of an article, but putting your work in your user page also works. To publish your article, you'd have to mark the draft as ready using an WP:AFC template, though it looks like removed the template. Add it back and mark the draft as submitted. An AFC reviewer may then look at the article and publish or decline it. The time an article gets reviewed depends on when someone actually wants to review it, but the current backlog would make it an estimate time of 2 or more months.Unfortunately though, it's likely that your article will be declined. You should read the policies and guidelines; the draft is ripe with WP:PROMOTIONAL material, WP:UNSOURCED statements, and is overall incorrectly formatted (please the the manual of style. Please also fix the citations (WP:CITE). Tarlby(t) (c)16:57, 18 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hello @Farazkhantanoli782. Creating an article is a very complicated process and is not recommended to newer editors. I suggest you read our policies and guidelines and contributing to Wikipedia in other ways. If you do truly want to make an article, please read WP:N and other guidelines on the creation of articles. Good luck. Tarlby(t) (c)18:17, 19 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hi, New editor here. I've written an essay about John Sayles' first novel, Pride of the Bimbos, for which Wikipedia posts a grotesquely superficial and inaccurate page, referred to as a stub. I'd like to add several paragraphs, including summarizing points from my essay—but that hasn't been published yet (although Sayles has reviewed and approved it). Please advise. Thanks, Jim --JimHight (talk) 20:02, 25 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hello @JimHight. Per our guidelines WP:RS and WP:OR, you wouldn't be able to add information yourself as that information would come from yourself. I or someone else would need to review and add it themself. Also, per WP:NOTESSAY, it's likely any personal opinions won't be added. Tarlby(t) (c)17:56, 26 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hi Tarlby,
I added an edit for this album, about how there is a bonus track, but it got flagged as not having a proper source? Here are the sources, his record label and official Soundcloud account, thanks,
Thanks for contacting me. You should read Wikipedia:Reliable sources on what we want in sourcing. His Soundcloud acts as a primary source and original research. That's not enough. This Stones Throw website doesn't appear on WP:RSP nor WP:MUSIC/SOURCE. Searching through, I don't see an editorial policy or staff that review the information on the site. Hello! At this page, you reverted a change with the description: "Vandalism". I was thinking it was an errouneous change, not vandalism. Can you please tell me what is the difference between that edit and an errouneous one?
@Dimitrie569WP:VANDALISM is defined as deliberately defying the purpose of Wikipedia, for example, writing absolute nonsense on an article. I find that replacing the subject's name in an article with this is, frankly, impossible to be in good faith. Therefore, it's vandalism. Keep in mind that we're obligated to leave warnings on the user's talk page where they have the perfect opportunity to explain what they were doing if it happened to not be vandalism.Cheers. Tarlby(t) (c)16:14, 14 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
To clarify, "erroneous" isn't a policy, so maybe you've been a little misled. It'd just be vandalism in this case. Tarlby(t) (c)18:41, 14 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hi Tarlby! I noticed that you recently made an editat KineMaster and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. "Minor edit" has a specific definition on Wikipedia: it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. TzarN64 (talk) 21:18, 24 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

I'm a pretty big fan of the game, and I've noticed you're currently working on the article and trying to bring it to FAC. Apologies if my removal of the note about the new DLC's reception was a bad move, but I do still think it would be best put as a footnote especially since the article already utilizes those for several other details. I had been wondering about the status of the article for a couple years now, since it has fallen pretty out of date. It's definitely in a much better state now, thank you for what you're doing and sorry if my edit came across as rude or detrimental. Gasmasque (talk) 14:41, 18 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
I'll think about adding a footnote later. I don't think it matters much.

Hi, regarding this response to an edit request, please do not use that template to respond to non-EC editors in a topic that is EC-restricted. Such editors are forbidden to seek consensus before making an edit request, so telling them they have to do it is pointless. Zerotalk04:21, 6 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

The administrator elections process has officially started! Interested editors are encouraged to self-nominate or arrange to be nominated by reviewing the instructions at Wikipedia:Administrator elections/July 2025/Candidates.
Here is the schedule:
July 9–15 - Call for candidates
July 18–22 - Discussion phase
July 23–29 - SecurePoll voting phase
Please note the following:
The requirements to run are identical to RFA—a prospective candidate must be extended confirmed.
The process will have a seven day call for candidates phase, a two day pause, a five day discussion phase, and a seven day private vote using SecurePoll. Discussion and questions are only allowed on the candidate pages during the discussion phase.
The outcome of this process is identical to making a request for adminship. There is no official difference between an administrator appointed through RFA versus administrator elections.
Ask any questions about the process at the talk page. A separate user talk message will be sent to official candidates with additional information about the process.
If you are interested in the process, please make sure to watchlist the appropriate pages. A watchlist notice will be added when the discussion phase opens, and again when the voting phase opens.
You're receiving this message because you signed up for the mailing list. To opt-out of future mailings, please remove yourself from the list.
On July 23, we will start the voting phase. The candidate subpages will close again to public questions and discussion, and everyone will have a week to use the SecurePoll software to vote, which uses a secret ballot. You can see who voted, but not who they voted for. Please note that the vote totals cannot be made public until after voting has ended and as such, it will not be possible for you to see an individual candidate's totals during the election. You must be extended confirmed to vote.
Once voting concludes, we will begin the scrutineering phase, which will last approximately four days, or perhaps a little longer. Once everything is certified, the results will be posted on the results page (you may want to watchlist this page) and transcluded to the main election page. In order to be granted adminship, a candidate must have received at least 70.0% support, calculated as Support / (Support + Oppose), and must also have received a minimum of 20 support votes. Because this is a vote and not a consensus, there are no bureaucrat discussions ("crat chats").
Any questions or issues can be asked on the election talk page. Thank you for your participation. Happy electing.

Prove it to me otherwise. It's clear as tap water. 8 out of 9 Seperme Court Justices are christian. Not one has a degree in science. The President is talking about getting in to heaven. Most of all the appointments of this administration are christian. The theology of the entire nation and the documents that it was formed are seemingly being ignored. %24 of America voted for the FELON who stacked the Seperme Court with religious zealots who have declared war on progressive states. The Constitution and it's Clauses are being ignored. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is being ignored. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see how they are attempting to resind ajudicated rights. "Appeal to Heaven" flag flown, history being wiped from the the internet and Wikipedia. It's deplorable behavior. EnlightenedIllusions (talk) 22:14, 22 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hello @EnlightenedIllusions. If you can provide me at least 10 sources used in the Project 2025 article that specifically call it a "christo-fascist manifesto", then perhaps we can add it into the first sentence. Otherwise, you are conducting original research. The article's body already describes the project's fascist-coded provisions as described by the sources provided. Tarlby(t) (c)22:18, 22 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
I suggest bringing these to Project 2025's talk page so other editors can evaluate them and incorporate them into the article's body if approved. I've skimmed through a few of them and am unsure of the reliability status for most of them, though I do note the Democrats Abroad source obviously shouldn't be used (of course Trump's main opposition would oppose him). Tarlby(t) (c)18:30, 26 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
(talk page stalker) @EnlightenedIllusions - let me suggest you take a moment to review both WP:RSP and WP:RS before posting these sources to the talk page. At least half of them fail to be reliable sources, and at least two are outright non-reliable sources for controversial topics per prior discussions. Here is also a very helpful essay for those who are wanting to contribute from a position of truth, as well as another essay about why everything is not necessarily true. I believe taking a moment to review those four links will greatly improve your ability to contribute, as well as understand some of the positions other people are taking. I noticed the submnissiom about Gibson App was declined. The app is a free standing product partly connected to gibson but developed and owned by zoundio AB. Many of its competitors have independent wikipedia pages such as ultimate guitar, chordify and more. So it makes sense for also Gibson App to have its own wikipedia page. Does it need to be bigger and contain more content? Or any other suggestion?

This note is intended as my response to the reviewers’ comments on the draft article Mind Stimulation Therapy, providing clarification on its clinical origins, development, and evaluation.
would like to clarify that the MST model was developed based on our professional training, insights, and systematic observation within active clinical practice—upon receiving positive feedback from colleagues, administrators, client-care staff, and clients themselves. Its evolution was guided by continual field application and reflective analysis rather than by a single research grant or laboratory study. The model’s initial acceptance arose from its intuitive and practical appeal in helping clients engage cognitively and emotionally, rather than from formal experimental validation at the outset. Over the years, we have used client satisfaction reports, qualitative feedback, and content analysis of participant responses as part of our evaluation process in both individual and group MST (and MICST) sessions with diverse clinical populations. These findings were summarized in our publications and presented at professional conferences, where the reception from practitioners and interdisciplinary audiences was highly positive. While such qualitative measures may not meet the formal standards of randomized controlled trials, they are consistent with established models of evidence in applied fields—including business and clinical psychology—where practice-based evidence has long served as a meaningful indicator of real-world impact. Martin Seligman, among others, has argued that such data deserve inclusion in psychology’s published literature as valid contributions to theory-building and service innovation. The developmental pathway of MST follows a long tradition in psychology, philosophy, and science, where major theoretical frameworks were first constructed through close observation, intuition, and case-based reasoning before later empirical validation. Early contributions by Freud, Piaget, and Goldberg, for example, began as interpretive frameworks that were refined and tested over time. Likewise, in the physical sciences, figures such as Einstein and other theoretical physicists advanced hypotheses based on mathematical reasoning that were only later confirmed by experimental results. I understand and respect the contemporary emphasis on controlled studies with large sample sizes and standardized methodologies. However, it is important to acknowledge that early-stage clinical innovations often arise from acute observation and practice-based reflection—insights gained through ongoing interaction with clients in real-world settings. Such models can subsequently inspire formal research, replication, and refinement. My intention in contributing this entry was to provide a descriptive and historical account of how MST evolved—from practice-based origins to conceptual framework—so that other researchers and clinicians may evaluate, replicate, or expand upon its applications. Clinical observation and speculative reasoning, when systematically documented and thoughtfully presented, remain vital sources of progress in both science and psychology. I also hope that Wikipedia and other scholarly platforms continue to recognize and provide space for creative clinical practitioners who, while lacking access to large-scale funded research, contribute meaningful innovations validated by client involvement, professional collaboration, and conceptual coherence that makes intuitive sense to reviewers and readers alike. Hello @MohiTaslim. The problem is much simpler than you make it out; all sources provided by you are primary sources which do not contribute to notability. If you can find multiple sources unrelated to yourself then the draft may be accepted. There is no systematic bias in action that I assume you've pointed out in this gigantic wall of text. My collaborator, Professor Boisvert will research through his educational affiliation for citation references for all of our published articles related to Mind Stimulation (MICST) model published since 1884. Just checking our earlies publication through Google Scholar I found that our earlies article on the model, Ahmed M & Goldman, J published in Community Mental Health shows 15 citations. Our 15 plus publications through 2020, all of which I may not have include will show many more that I plan to add as External References. I also plan to highlight that our seminal book Mind Stimulation Therapy: Cognitive Intervention for Persons with Schizophrenia, Routledge, 2013, is forwarded by Ronald Abramson, MD., and the two endorsement reviews on back cover are by two other psychiatrists, showing cross disciplinary support for the model. Will work on updating the write up! MohiTaslim (talk) 16:39, 13 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025.
The sign on the building hosting the department, as well as all nomenclature within the building, has been changed to the Department of War, as it had been until the mid 20th century. This is a defacto / dejure issue, and should be treated as such. According to Wikipedias accepting rules on naming conventions, the common name, superceding the dejure name should be used, with the dejure name indicated afterwards.
Well as far as I know, the Department of Defense article says "Department of Defense". If the common name had switched, it would've been updated by now months after the executive order. Doesn't look like that has happened. Plus, naming conventions actually rely upon secondary reliable sources per WP:COMMONNAME, not necessarily what the subject calls itself. Tarlby(t) (c)19:04, 21 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
the article has Department of War in the first sentence, and the seal of the Department says Department of War, as is dually noted on their government website. The article on Wikipedia has been locked however to avoid changes. Coldsteelwarmhearts (talk) 19:10, 21 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
template to the top of the Dark web forensics article. After adding it, the entire article text became bold and the font style changed. I think something in the template or its placement is affecting the page’s formatting.
Could you please help me fix this issue?
I want to keep the template on the page, but without it breaking or changing the article's formatting.
Thanks in advance for your help! Osmere (talk) 06:50, 23 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
I’ve edited the page again and I was able to fix the formatting issue myself.

Hello, Tarlby. Per your request, your account has been grantedtemporary-account-viewer rights. You are now able to reveal the IP addresses of individuals using temporary accounts that are not visible to the general public. This is very sensitive information that is only to be used to aid in anti-abuse workflows. Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Temporary account IP viewer for more information on this user right. It is important to remember:
Access must not be used for political control, to apply pressure on editors, or as a threat against another editor in a content dispute. There must be a valid reason to investigate a temporary user. Note that using multiple temporary accounts is not forbidden, so long as they are not used in violation of policies (for example, block or ban evasion).
It is also important to note that the following actions are logged for others to see:
When a user accepts the preference that enables or disables IP reveal for their account.
Revealing an IP address of a temporary account.
Listing the temporary accounts that are associated with one or more IP addresses (using the CIDR notation format).
Remember, even if a user is violating policy, avoid revealing personal information if possible. Use temporary account usernames rather than disclosing IP addresses directly, or give information such as same network/not same network or similar. If you do not want the user right anymore then please ask me or another administrator and it will be removed for you. You may also voluntarily give up access at any time by visiting Special:Preferences. Happy editing! Sohom (talk) 01:52, 24 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Damn! Thought that was as good as gold. There are loads of articles that have only one source for most metrics. And it's not as if most local historical events relating to modern transportation have multiple sources (cities tend to be bad at online record keeping for this stuff). Is a photo of the opening event (page 203) in a published book not proof enough? Not to mention the historical material of the communities the road passes through and my photo of the present street sign in the bypassed village? Transportfan70 (talk) 05:12, 26 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Well, as far as I know, WP:NROAD points to WP:GNG for roads; GNG says that "multiple" reliable sources with significant coverage are required, i.e. at least 2 and preferably 3. If you disagree with me, you can add that book source and resubmit. Tarlby(t) (c)05:16, 26 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Later, a user talk message will be sent to official candidates with additional information about the process.

Hi Toby,
After discussion, Chaotic Enby and myself have removed your question at Wikipedia:Administrator elections/December 2025/Candidates/UtherSRG in accordance with our role as election monitors. We specifically felt that the question's lengthy preamble might come across as argumentative and that the core of the question could be lost as a result. You are welcome to reinstate the core question "After the admin review, ANI threads, and recall petition, how have you reflected and grown from this experience so that the community can trust you to use the admin tools responsibly in the future?" or any other question you see fit in the questions section, but we ask that you place any other commentary in the "Discussion" section. To be clear, you are absolutely allowed to link to the previous discussions and criticize the candidates, as long as its in the "Discussion" section. ThadeusOfNazereth(he/him)Talk to Me!00:45, 4 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
On December 9, we will start the voting phase. The candidate subpages will close to public questions and discussion, and everyone will have a week to use the SecurePoll software to vote, which uses a secret ballot. You can see who voted, but not who they voted for. Please note that the vote totals cannot be made public until after voting has ended and as such, it will not be possible for you to see an individual candidate's totals during the election. You must be extended confirmed to vote.
Once voting concludes, we will begin the scrutineering phase, which typically lasts between a couple days and a week. Once everything is certified, the results will be posted on the results page (you may want to watchlist this page) and transcluded to the main election page. In order to be granted adminship, a candidate who has not been recalled must have received at least 70.0% support, calculated as Support / (Support + Oppose), and must also have received a minimum of 20 support votes. A candidate that has been recalled must have at least 55.0% support. Because this is a vote and not a consensus, there are no bureaucrat discussions ("crat chats").
Any questions or issues can be asked on the election talk page. Thank you for your participation. Happy electing.

Hello, and welcome to the December newsletter, a quarterly digest of Guild activities since September. If you'd like to be notified of upcoming drives and blitzes, and other GOCE activities, the best method is to add our announcements box to your watchlist.
Election news: The Guild's coordinators play an important role in the WikiProject, making sure nearly everything runs smoothly and on time. Editors experienced in drives or blitzes and in good standing (unblocked and without sanctions) are invited to nominate themselves or another editor (with their permission, of course) to be a Guild coordinator until 23:59 on 15 December (UTC). The voting phase begins at 00:01 on 16 December and runs until 23:59 on 31 December. Questions may be asked of candidates at any stage in the process. Elected coordinators will serve a six-month term from 1 January through 30 June 2026.
September Drive: 43 of the 63 editors who signed up for the September Backlog Elimination Drive edited 693,541 words in 265 articles. Barnstars awarded are here.

November Drive: 38 of the 65 editors who signed up for the November Backlog Elimination Drive edited 590,816 words in 240 articles. Barnstars awarded are posted here.
December Blitz: The December Blitz will begin at 00:00 on 14 December (UTC) and will end on 20 December at 23:59. Sign up here. Barnstars awarded will be posted here.
Progress report: As of 01:49, 8 December 2025 (UTC), GOCE copy editors have completed 293 requests since 1 January, and the backlog of tagged articles stands at 1,730 articles.
Thank you all again for your participation; we wouldn't be able to achieve what we have without you! Cheers from your GOCE coordinators, Dhtwiki, GoldRomean, Miniapolis and Mox Eden.

Starting on November 4, the IP addresses of logged-out editors are no longer being publicly displayed. Instead, they will have a temporary account associated with their edits.
Administrators will now find that Special:MergeHistory is now significantly more flexible about what it can merge. It can now merge sections taken from the middle of the history of the source (rather than only the start) and insert revisions anywhere in the history of the destination page (rather than only the start). An Articles for Creation backlog drive is happening in December 2025, with over 1,000 drafts awaiting review from the past two months. In addition to AfC participants, all administrators and new page patrollers can help review using the Yet Another AFC Helper Script, which can be enabled in the Gadgets settings. Sign up here to participate!

Please read this to see the whole thread: User talk:~2025-35317-79 - Wikipedia In short, I've personally seen Tomoe Gozen in at least two video games and there seem to be documentaries, movies, and manga about, or at least which include, her.
@AngerySnek, virtually all content must be cited to a source. This is to allow readers to easily verify that the information they're reading is true or at least attributable. What is expected from reliable sources is described in WP:RS; IMdB would not be a good choice for example. Tarlby(t) (c)22:26, 27 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Tomoe has appeared in at least 2 games that I know of, with the source being the games themselves, which I trust because I have eyes. Minamoto no Yoshinaka has a "Popular Media" header that isn't cited to any source but none of the mods seem to care about that! AngerySnek (talk) 19:44, 17 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Re. Talk:Easy Delivery Co./GA1: The "Development" section of the article is nearly empty due to the lack of coverage on the development of the game by reliable sources, not because I intentionally didn't write anything in that section. As one can expect, this dearth of information is common in indie games due to the lack of popularity, and is a particular problem for this game as development information only came out after the media cycle for it had already ended. The creator of the game released a development log on YouTube three weeks ago that I can write an entire two paragraphs around, but that source is (obviously) primary and would get close to the 5th misuse criteria for WP:ABOUTSELF, which is why I had chosen not to include it here. If you want me to write that anyway, do tell. Chlod(sayhi!) 03:39, 19 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Chlod, I suspected this was the case considering you've gotten Until Then to GA. Personally, I think it's fine if you include a paragraph or two based on primary sources, as there's no reason for me to believe the dev isn't reliable regarding their own game. I've also found this other primary source:
I've also passed the indie game article Animal Well which was nominated by a Featured Article expert. Around 75% of that page's development section is actually covered by one primary source. Go for it. toby(t)(c)(rw)04:00, 19 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Tarlby: I've expanded the development with two devlogs released by the developer and the interview you provided. Should I resubmit the article for a new GAN? Chlod(sayhi!) 07:49, 21 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Chlod Sorry about the late message. Yeah, I think this is good to send to GAN. I've already got a review going though so I can't guarantee that I'm gonna get there first, lol. toby(t)(c)(rw)01:45, 23 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

@Tarlby, I'm not sure I understand why my sources for the client do not meet the aforementioned criteria. My sources come from local news agencies, newsletters, and finance information hubs. I take a look at the Ramp (company) wiki, and they have similar sources that are promotional pieces. My client is not as big as Ramp so yes they're not featured in CNBC or Forbes, but I don't understand what else I'd be able to provide on their behalf that ccan suffice. Any help would be be appreciated.

Hey there! Thanks for engaging with me about file deletion. I wanted to offer you little bit of very friendly feedback—which is simply that, when you said "the dissenters ignored what the policy said" it came off as a little dismissive. If we assume good faith, then those dissenters, like me, probably did not fully understand the policy, and were not willfully ignoring it. I'm sure you meant no ill will, but I just wanted to let you know how your comment felt to me. This is meant as constructive feedback and I also have no ill will towards you! Have a great day. Due to the result of a recent motion, a rough consensus of administrators at the arbitration enforcement noticeboard may impose an expanded topic ban on Israel, Israelis, Jews, Judaism, Palestine, Palestinians, Islam, and/or Arabs, if an editor's Arab-Israeli conflict topic ban is determined to be insufficient to prevent disruption. At least one diff per area expanded into should be cited.
A request for comment is open to discuss retiring CSD criterion R3 in favour of handling such redirects through RfD.

Following a motion, remedy 9.1 of the Conduct in deletion-related editing case has been amended to limit TenPoundHammer to one XfD nomination or PROD per 24-hour period.

The Arbitration Committee has passed a housekeeping motion rescinding a number of outdated remedies and enforcement provisions across multiple legacy cases. In most instances, existing sanctions remain in force and continue to be appealable through the usual processes, while some case-specific remedies were amended or clarified.
Special report: What actually happened during the Wikimedia security incident? A horrifying exploit took place, which could have had catastrophic and far-reaching consequences if used maliciously; instead, it seems to have happened by accident and was used for childish vandalism. Hello Tarlby. I saw your efforts to get Rain World to FA status a bit late so am doing a check of the article independent of the FA process. I have a question, why is ref 45 marked as "deviated"? --not-cheesewhisk3rs ≽^•⩊•^≼ ∫ (pester) 16:09, 20 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
I haven't done a prose review yet but have some initial suggestions. Sorry if you don't want these comments. 1) The downloadable content subsection has a 1 line paragraph about the watcher. This is not ideal, could you make it two lines minimum? The sources mention more than what is in the article. 2) In the same paragraph, see WP:TITULAR. This is only an essay so doesn't have to be followed like the MoS, but the advice is still good. 3) In the FAC you wrote there is no reception on the watcher. Is this source any good? --not-cheesewhisk3rs ≽^•⩊•^≼ ∫ (pester) 10:00, 21 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
Additional comments. 4) At the start of the last paragraph in #Development, the article quotes "believable" when the source says "believability". I've fixed other instances of misquoting but I don't want to mess up the prose here. 5) #Art design has a small MOS:SEAOFBLUE issue with the links "sci-fi" and "epic". I've made many small changes and fixes, and I'm sorry to bother about this small detail instead of fixing it, but I don't know which link is most relevant or what way it could be rephrased as to keep both links.
Overall great work on this article and if you're going to nominate it at FAC again I'd definitely support. Great prose especially. --not-cheesewhisk3rs ≽^•⩊•^≼ ∫ (pester) 17:23, 21 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
0) Don't know why ref 45 is deviated to be honest. If I were to take a wild guess, maybe its because the gif embeds no longer display on the page, but it's not like the archived version has them either so I'll remove the deviated mark. 1) Frustratingly, the sources seem bloated but happen to discuss nothing concerning the Watcher's actual gameplay; this one sentence is the most I could write on it. I've scoured the internet before for reliable sourcing on Watcher gameplay so I don't believe any exist, but I'd be happy to be proven wrong! 2) This advice seems reasonable. I've changed it now. 3) I've skipped over this source from my searches. I've never seen it used in an article before and it is not listed in WP:VGRS and WP:RSP. Sources gotta be high-quality, so I'd rather be cautious and not use it for now. If you can point to me where GameLuster has been used in other Featured Articles, I'd be happy to add it. 4) I've checked and it looks fine. 5) I've unlinked some stuff. Thanks for the support. I'm planning on nominating it again by the time I'm not too busy anymore, lol. toby(t)(c)(rw)(omo)18:00, 21 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
3) If you don't think that source is high-quality enough for a Featured Article, don't use it. I'm not an expert on video game sources. --not-cheesewhisk3rs ≽^•⩊•^≼ ∫ (pester) 18:47, 21 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
1) PCGamesN (ref 18) says nothing, but PC Gamer (ref 23) says stuff like the Watcher has to find "mysterious echoes of itself, which will require you to check out all kinds of new places on the map", and calls it "a sprawling expansion compared to the prior one in terms of sheer areas", which is more detailed than what's currently in the article, "adding regions". You could add details like this, but maybe that's over-relying on speculation, so this suggestion is a very hesitant one. --not-cheesewhisk3rs ≽^•⩊•^≼ ∫ (pester) 19:30, 21 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, I used to have a sentence there utilizing that part but I was told to remove it due to a lack of gameplay content to support it. toby(t)(c)(rw)(omo)20:00, 21 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

The autoconfirmed user group will soon be modified such that the four-day account age requirement begins when an account makes its first edit (T418484).
Arbitration
The arbitration case SchroCat has been opened. Evidence submissions in this case closed on 15 April.
Per a recent motion, appeals of blocks from the conflict-of-interest VRT queue are, by default, appealed on-wiki through the normal unblock process. However, they may be heard by the Committee if COIVRTers disagree on the interpretation of the evidence or believe ArbCom would be better suited to hear the appeal. Administrators are also advised that loosening or lifting such blocks without the consent of someone with access to the queue or ArbCom can be grounds for desysopping.
Per a recent motion, restrictions issued directly by the Committee may now be enforced with blocks which work exactly like contentious topic blocks.
On 13 May, we will start the voting phase. The candidate subpages will close to public questions and discussion, and everyone will have a week to use the SecurePoll software to vote, which uses a secret ballot. You can see who voted, but not who they voted for.
Any questions or issues can be asked on the election talk page. Thank you for your participation. Happy electing.

You can see who voted, but not who they voted for. Please note that the vote totals cannot be made public until after voting has ended and as such, it will not be possible for you to see an individual candidate's vote total during the election. The suffrage requirements are similar to those at RFA.
Once voting concludes, we will begin the scrutineering phase, which will last for a few days, perhaps longer. Once everything is certified, the results will be posted on the results page (this is a good page to watchlist), and transcluded to the main election page. In order to be granted adminship, a non-recall candidate must have received at least 70.0% support, calculated as Support / (Support + Oppose), and a minimum of 20 support votes. Recall candidates must achieve 55.0% support. Because this is a vote and not a consensus, there are no bureaucrat discussions ("crat chats").
