Draft for Panasonic Camera
editHi Vacant0, I saw that you are in WP:Photography and have a lot of experience here on Wikipedia. I am new to the platform, and I was hoping you would be willing to help me with a draft for Panasonic at User:LRGino/Panasonic Lumix S1II draft. I think the draft covers all the relevant facts and is in line with the articles for similar cameras. However, because I have a conflict of interest, I understand that I should get additional input or that a neutral editor should move the draft to main space. I'd appreciate you reviewing and cleaning up where you see fit. Thanks for your time. PanaTony (talk) 09:35, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
- The draft looks okay to me, though I'd focus on adding a reception section too. I bet that there are some camera reviews out there. Feel free to ping me once you do this and I'll move the article to mainspace. Vacant0 (talk • contribs) 13:21, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks so much for the advice. I added a "Reception" section. If it looks good now, I really appreciate you moving it to mainspace. Best PanaTony (talk) 10:49, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for your work! I've moved the article to mainspace. Cheers, Vacant0 (talk • contribs) 11:22, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Vacant0. Thanks so much for sharing your experience and your time. I've worked on a number of other Panasonic cameras that don't have an article yet, incorporating all of the feedback that you've given to me into those articles. If you could take a look, I would be grateful. I look forward to feedback and to, hopefully, getting these into mainspace as well.

- Thanks Vacant0! There are three more cameras that I noticed don't have articles. I am planning to work on them next, and I hope you won't mind if I send them your way when I am done. I've really appreciated your expertise and support for a new editor. PanaTony (talk) 11:05, 28 May 2026 (UTC)

Foreign-language sources
editHey Vacant. Congrats on 50,000+ edits! Just a simple question:
If I'm translating a foreign-language source, is there anything I'm obligated to do more than just using a machine translation tool to translate it? I would expect these tools to be a little unreliable, yet I don't think I've found a guideline outright discouraging this. toby (t)(c)(rw) 00:53, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
- From my experience, machine translation is usually okay. It is permitted to be used but you should always double-check if the translation is correct. I cannot find the exact guideline on this but I've read it somewhere recently that it is okay to be used as long as you double-check the translation. I usually use multiple resources when translating from languages I'm not really familar with. Cheers, Vacant0 (talk • contribs) 13:42, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
- Alright, thank you. toby (t)(c)(rw) 14:33, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
your deletion of my ga review
editI dont quite appreciate my review being called a "drive-by", but I'd at least like to know what I did wrong. Shawtybaespade (talk) 19:08, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
- Theoretically, it was drive-by because you only had put the review template, nothing more than that. Such reviews are rejected and unacceptable. The smallest thing that you could have added to that review are comments saying why the article met all criteria (if you indeed checked all the criteria) and your review would have been considered valid. As I've already recommended, you should read the instruction pages on how to properly review GA nominations. You can always re-review the article whenever you want (but properly this time). Vacant0 (talk • contribs) 19:15, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
Could you delete Talk:Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds/GA1? The reviewer picked it up on April 28 and has not made an edit since May 4, so no progress has been made on the review. Or would it have to be marked as a fail to reset it? My preference is just a page deletion solely for my mindset to not have a failed nomination out of my hands. -- ZooBlazer 22:21, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
- @ZooBlazer:, done. Cheers, Vacant0 (talk • contribs) 18:09, 15 May 2026 (UTC)

Hello from a fellow election editor
editHello, I've seen your impressive solo work on Serbian elections. I focus on Kazakhstan-related articles and have been heavily contributing to pages about Kazakh elections myself. I feel like we could learn a lot from each other in terms of writing, editing, and content creation. I wanted to say great job on your edits, and ask to have you found any specific formatting styles or tips that work best for election articles? I'm completely open to a potential collaboration if you ever want to team up. ShadZ01 (talk) 03:24, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
- I'm working on a tutorial for editing Serbian politics right now but I'm unsure when I'll finish it. Maybe by the end of the month? I'll let you know when I finish it so that you can take a look at how I approach election articles (mainly in Serbia, but also in other European countries). I'm not up for collaboration atm, but it'll probably change in the future. Vacant0 (talk • contribs) 18:59, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
