This page is about me. I am Milton Packer. The content has not been updated in 8 years. Please help!

edit

Please help. I am 75 years old and am not very tech-savvy. Please help me get through this. My motivation is to make sure that the page is written clearly and is up to date. The last update was 8 years ago. I identified several sources, and I can provide others.

1 CHANGE #1 Replace the following text: "Milton Packer (b. ca 1951) is an American cardiologist who is known for his clinical research concerning heart failure."

Replace it with the following text Source: https://hfsa.org/milton-packer-md Source: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1351488/ Source: https://www.acc.org/latest-in-cardiology/articles/2026/03/01/01/cover-story-the-adipokine-hypothesis Source: https://academic.oup.com/eurheartj/article/46/4/337/7915815

"Milton Packer, MD (born 1951) is an American cardiologist who has made important contributions to the field of heart failure, both in understanding its mechanisms and defining its rational management. Over more than 40 years, his work established the cornerstone of the current modern treatments for heart failure, including ACE inhibitors, beta-blockers, angiotensin neprilysin inhibitors and SGLT2 inhibitors. He also raised concerns about the safety of positive inotropic agents, calcium channel blockers and antiarrhythmic drugs in patients with left ventricular systolic dysfunction.

"He proposed the neurohormonal hypothesis of heart failure with reduced ejection fraction in 1992 and the adipokine hypothesis of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction in 2025. He has been the overall Principal Investigator for 20 large-scale international trials of novel interventions in heart failure. He was a Founding Member and served as President of the Heart Failure Society of America (2000-2002), and he has served on numerous guidelines and standards committees for the American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology. Since 1986, he has been a primary consultant to the FDA on matters related to the design of clinical trials and the interpretation of clinical trial evidence. He is currently Distinguished Scholar in Cardiovascular Science at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas and Visiting Professor at Imperial College in London."

2 CHANGE #2 Replace the following text "In 1992 he published a paper on a neurohormonal hypothesis to explain heart failure that synthesized ideas that were percolating at the time; the paper made him known as the father of that idea.[1][6]"

Replace it with the following text: "In 1992, Packer published a formal proposal for the neurohormonal hypothesis of heart failure, which argued that neurohormonal activation was deleterious to heart failure progression. This hypothesis became a foundational concept in contemporary cardiology and heart failure management, and he is considered the "father of the neurohormonal hypothesis of heart failure"."

6 CHANGE #6 Please add the following text:

"In 2024, Dr. Packer published a formal proposal for the adipokine hypothesis of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, which posited that an imbalance in the secretion of signaling molecules from dysfunctional adipose tissue drives the disease. The hypothesis represents the complement to his neurohormonal hypothesis for heart failure and a reduced ejection fraction, which had been published 33 years earlier.   Unable to implement

 1. The direction to replace the line that states "...best known for her work as a member of the songwriting and production team Xenomania" could not be implemented because no line stating those words exists in the lead paragraph.
 2. The direction to replace the "impact line" In 1997, she began working with Brian Higgins and became a founding member of Xenomania. could not be implemented because there is no phrase matching "impact line" which currently exists in the article.
 3. The direction to add "one of the most competitive chart positions of the year" could not be implemented because the claim that this is "one of the most competitive chart positions" is not referenced. (See WP:V.)
 1. The direction to add the claim "..by PRS for Music" could not be added because the claim is not referenced. (See WP:V.)
 1. The direction to add for Maisie Peters' debut album You Signed Up for This (2021), and both "The Last One" and "There It Goes" for its follow-up The Good Witch (2023) could not be added because despite 3 references being supplied with the request, the requestor did not specify which reference went with which claim. (See WP:TSI.)
 2. The direction to add and is produced by Cooper's production company Tilted Musicals in collaboration with Seven Bucks Productions, Stephen Merchant, Kevin Misher and Birmingham Hippodrome. The original 2019 film was written and directed by Stephen Merchant, with Dwayne Johnson serving as executive producer and appearing in a cameo role. could not be added because despite 2 references being provided, the requestor did not specify which reference went with which claim. Edit request from paid contributor – revised submission

edit

Declared interest: I have been engaged by Miranda Cooper to suggest improvements to this article, disclosed in accordance with WP:PAID. This is a revised submission following feedback from Spintendo on 3 July 2026. Each proposed change now includes exact current text, proposed replacement text, and a specific source mapped to each claim.

1. Lead paragraph — role description Current text: Cooper has co-written for successful artists such as Alesha Dixon, Gabriella Cilmi and Kylie Minogue. Proposed addition after that sentence: She has co-written four UK number-one singles and has had over 30 top 10 UK hits. Source: San Remo Music roster page confirms "over 30 UK top 10 hits, including four #1 singles".

2. Xenomania description Current text: In 1997, Cooper met Brian Higgins, the founder of Kent-based songwriting and production team Xenomania. Proposed text: In 1997, Cooper met Brian Higgins, the founder of Kent-based songwriting and production team Xenomania, whose early productions have been credited with reshaping British pop music for the 2000s. Source: Xenomania Wikipedia article states "Round Round and Sound of the Underground have been credited with reshaping British pop music for the 2000s"; also Sound of the Underground (album) Wikipedia article.

3. Sweet About Me — PRS source Current text: Xenomania have also helped launch the careers of The X Factor contestant Amelia Lily and Australian singer-songwriter Gabriella Cilmi. Proposed addition of new sentence after this: Cooper co-wrote Cilmi's 2008 single "Sweet About Me", which reached number six on the UK Singles Chart, topped the Australian ARIA Singles Chart for five weeks, and was named the most-played track of 2009 by PRS for Music. Sources: Sweet About Me Wikipedia article for chart positions; NME, 22 December 2009 for PRS most-played confirmation; BBC News confirms PRS claim.

4. Maisie Peters — add songwriting credits with specific sources per claim Current text: Cooper started songwriting with Higgins, eventually finding commercial success and critical acclaim with their productions for Girls Aloud and Sugababes. Proposed addition of new sentence: More recently, Cooper co-wrote "John Hughes Movie" for Maisie Peters' debut album You Signed Up for This (2021), and "The Last One" and "There It Goes" for its follow-up The Good Witch (2023). Sources mapped to each claim:

5. Fighting With My Family — Dwayne Johnson detail Current text: In April 2026, it was announced she was adapting the 2019 film Fighting with My Family into a stage musical, alongside Coler and Jon Brittain. Proposed text: In April 2026, it was announced she was adapting the 2019 film Fighting with My Family into a stage musical, alongside Coler and Jon Brittain. The original film was written and directed by Stephen Merchant, with Dwayne Johnson serving as executive producer via Seven Bucks Productions and appearing in a cameo role. Sources:

Requested factual corrections (conflict of interest disclosed)

edit

Conflict of interest disclosure: I am Mitchell Englander, the subject of this article. I have a conflict of interest and am not editing the article directly. I am requesting the following changes on this Talk page so that uninvolved editors can review them. Each is sourced. I have kept all of the accurate details of the conviction in place; my concern is precision and compliance with WP:BLP and WP:NPOV.

Change A: Escort services (BLP accuracy). The article lists "escort services" among the things received in Las Vegas: "...attended and received hotel rooms, VIP hotel amenities, casino chips (at least some of which were returned), limo rides, escort services, a $2,400 dinner, and a $34,000 visit to a nightclub." This states as fact something the record does not establish. In the plea agreement factual basis, the admitted fact is that escort services were offered (Attachment A, paragraph 8: "had been offered escort services"), and paragraph 5 states that "Businessperson A was unaware if [Englander] accepted those services." The U.S. Attorney's sentencing press release states only that an escort was "instructed to go to Englander's room," not that any services were received. Per WP:BLP, contentious claims must be stated accurately. Requested fix: describe the escorts as offered and arranged, with one directed to the hotel room, and note that the record does not establish acceptance.

Change B: Characterization of the charges and conviction (precision). Two places describe this as a corruption or bribery matter. The lead says he "was subsequently indicted on corruption charges," and the conviction section is headed "Corruption conviction." The conviction was on one count of scheming to falsify material facts (18 U.S.C. § 1001); the remaining six counts were dismissed, and Englander was never charged with bribery. At sentencing the judge stated there was no evidence of a "pay-to-play" scheme. The offense of conviction is a false-statements and obstruction offense, not a corruption or bribery offense. The U.S. Department of Justice's own release is titled "Scheming to Obstruct Corruption Probe", and its charging release is titled "Obstructing Public Corruption Probe, Making False Statements". Requested fix: in the lead, describe the charges as obstruction of a public corruption investigation and making false statements (the probe context is accurate and should be retained); and retitle the section to something accurate such as "Federal indictment and conviction" or "Obstruction conviction". I defer to editors on exact wording, but ask that the heading and lead not characterize the conviction as a corruption or bribery offense.

Change C: No bribery charge; abuse-of-position enhancement declined. At sentencing, Judge John F. Walter stated there was no evidence of bribery or a "pay-to-play" scheme, and the court declined to apply the sentencing enhancement for abuse of a position of public trust, finding the government had not shown the defendant used his official position to facilitate or conceal the offense (sentencing transcript, United States v. Englander, No. 2:20-cr-00035 (C.D. Cal.), Document 68). Requested fix: add this context, neutrally.

Change D: Date and detail corrections.

 • Plea date in the lead reads "June 7, 2020". It was July 7, 2020 (consistent with the body of this same article and the cited Los Angeles Times report dated July 7, 2020).
 • Sentencing date reads "January 26, 2021". Sentencing occurred on January 25, 2021 (U.S. Department of Justice press release dated January 25, 2021; the case was terminated January 25, 2021).
 • Casino chips: per the factual basis, the chips were returned after gambling, not merely "at least some".
 • Dinner figure: the group dinner was about $2,481 (factual basis and DOJ release), not $2,400.

I can provide fully drafted replacement wikitext for the lead paragraph and the conviction section, with citations, on request. I am happy to discuss any of this and to provide pinpoint citations to the court documents. Mitchell Englander (talk) 00:43, 25 June 2026 (UTC)

Additional information needed According to COI Use of Images, you need to obtain permission from the owner of the logo before it can be added to the article. You can do this in one of two ways:
 1. License statement on company website: Ask the company to place the logo somewhere on the company's official website. Then, either on the same page or on a separate copyright page on the same website, they should include a statement that the work is released under a suitable free license, for example: "The image of the X Company Logo is released under the Creative Commons Attribution License 3.0." The recommended Creative Commons Attribution License allows the image of the logo to be used by anyone, with or without modifications, and allows commercial use, so long as the original author is credited. Once this is done, we can assist you in uploading the image of the logo.
 2. E-mail permission: Have the owner email permission with a photo of the logo attached to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org stating "I release the attached photo of the logo under the Creative Commons Attribution License 3.0." The email should say that they are the creator and/or sole owner of the exclusive copyright of the photo of the attached logo (or the logo at https://static1.squarespace.com/static/58d1b3ff1b631bb1893d108d/t/59d1d7a303596e6dea32015e/1506923201611/?format=1500w), and include their full name. It may require several days to process this e-mail - to avoid this delay, use the other method above. Once the photo of the logo is approved, we can assist you in uploading it.
 • Also, the company location of Redwood City could not easily be discerned from the source that you provided. If you have another source indicating the HQ's location that would be appreciated. Regards,  Spintendo  ᔦᔭ  18:09, 16 December 2017 (UTC)

Request edit on 17 June 2026: Remove Unsourced Employee Count

edit

The infobox currently lists "60 [citation needed]" for the number of employees. This figure is both unsourced and outdated. I am requesting that it be removed from the infobox entirely. I am not proposing a replacement figure at this time, as I have not identified a verifiable, independent third-party source that meets Wikipedia's citation standards for this data point. LinkedIn and company-controlled sources are not appropriate citations for this field. Removing an unsourced, flagged figure is a straightforward correction that does not require additional editorial review of the broader article.

Request edit on 17 June 2026: Update History Section (2018–2026)

edit

The article's History section currently ends around 2013–2017, with only a single line noting the 2023 launch of Mixbook Studio. The following is a proposed addition covering notable, independently documented company developments from 2018 through 2026. All claims are sourced to third-party publications.

Proposed addition — to be inserted after the existing 2017 WedPics acquisition paragraph:

In October 2023, Mixbook launched Mixbook Studio, an updated photo book creation platform incorporating AI-powered design tools, including automated layout suggestions and image enhancement capabilities.[1]

In October 2024, Mixbook expanded Mixbook Studio with additional AI-powered features, including AI-generated captions, a caption rewriting tool, automated layouts for photos, and new map styles for location-based customization. The company also introduced Mixbook Movies, a digital companion format that automatically generates an interactive video from a customer's photo book order, allowing customers to share their memories digitally while the physical book is in production and after·.[2][3]

In June 2026, Mixbook launched Story Mode, a prompt-based photo book creation tool built on patent-pending AI technology. The feature allows users to describe a memory or occasion in text, upload photos, and receive a fully designed photo book. The company reported that Story Mode reduced creation time by 3.5 times and cut time to order in half compared to the standard editor. Story Mode launched initially on iOS, with web availability announced as forthcoming.[4][5]

Notes for the editor reviewing this request:

· The 2023 PetaPixel citation (ref 6 in the current article) is already cited in the live article for the Mixbook Studio launch. The proposed new paragraph uses a more complete citation format. ·The Tom's Guide article (Younker, 2024) independently corroborates the Mixbook Movies and AI tools launch. Request edit on 17 June 2026: Add Reception Section

edit

Mixbook has been independently reviewed and recommended by multiple authoritative consumer publications. Wikipedia articles on comparable companies commonly include a Reception section documenting third-party coverage of this kind. The following is a proposed new section.

Proposed new section — to be inserted after the History section:

Request edit on 17 June 2026: Replace Dead and Low-Quality Citations

edit

Three citations in the current article are either dead links or low-quality sources:

Ref 2 — Currently links to freeenterprise.com (defunct AMEX-sponsored blog). I have searched the Wayback Machine and no archived snapshot exists. Request: Remove this citation and the claim it supports if no independent replacement source can be identified.

Ref 3 — Currently links to blog.mixbook.com (the company's own WordPress blog). This is a primary source being used to support a product launch claim, which weakens citation quality. Request: Replace with independent third-party coverage of the same 2009 photo book editor launch, or remove the specific claim if no independent source can be found.

Ref 9 — Currently links to aabacosmallbusiness.com (dead domain, formerly Yahoo! Small Business), supporting the Citrify acquisition mention. I have searched the Wayback Machine and no archived snapshot exists. Request: Remove this citation and replace with independent news coverage of the Citrify acquisition if available, or remove the claim entirely.

Request edit on 17 June 2026: Add Product Section

edit

The article's lead mentions "photo books, cards, calendars and home decor" but does not describe how the platform works or what the product categories are. Wikipedia articles on comparable companies (e.g., Shutterfly) include this context. The following is a proposed short Products subsection.

Proposed new section — to be inserted after the lead paragraph, before History:

Suggested Trims

edit

Hi! My name is Toni Bird and I work for MongoDB. I would love to help improve the page incrementally, following COI best practices. The current version includes quite a bit of detail, many poor citations, original research, etc. and could benefit from substantial trims. To better align the page with Wikipedia's best practices, I'd like to propose the eight cuts below. While this would leave the page much smaller than it is now, I think it would be a major improvement and a stronger foundation to build on. Let me know what you think!

The suggested trims are as follows:

ToniBirdOne (talk) 19:50, 15 October 2025 (UTC)

Partly done: I've implemented request 7. Chess enjoyer (talk) 04:27, 16 October 2025 (UTC)
@Chess enjoyer: Did you mean to reject requests 1-6 and 8-9 or was 7 just the only one you reviewed? I noticed the edit request was closed, whereas I thought I was still waiting for other editor(s) to review the rest. ToniBirdOne (talk) 20:47, 12 November 2025 (UTC)
@ToniBirdOne: Request 7 was the only one I reviewed, and I did not mean to reject the others. The request was changed to "answered" by @NotJamestack, perhaps on the assumption that I had reviewed the others. I'm reopening this request. Chess enjoyer (talk) 20:54, 12 November 2025 (UTC)
Likewise, I've implemented 4, 9, and part of 3. Will add done and partially done tags in the request for clarity. Re. #8, I agree; if you could make it a short paragraph summary, that would be nice. GoldRomean (talk) 15:10, 13 November 2025 (UTC)
Done 5; opted to just remove the whole section. GoldRomean (talk) 15:14, 13 November 2025 (UTC)

Remaining Trims

edit

Thanks so much @GoldRomean:!! I closed the prior request edit, since you've answered most of them. Below is a revised list of requested edits showing only the remaining items.

ToniBirdOne (talk) 19:07, 25 November 2025 (UTC)

Thanks! 1 and 6 look good to me, Go ahead with the changes. I agree with the gist of it but I want to take a closer look at 2 - I’ll get back to you re that. Cheers, GoldRomean (talk) 17:30, 26 November 2025 (UTC)
@ToniBirdOne (2) is untenable demand, "remove technical criticism" is a no-go. If there is some specific claim that you want to contest, you are free to do so. Sohom (talk) 07:19, 17 December 2025 (UTC)

Proposed additions

edit

Hi All. As previously disclosed, I work for MongoDB and have been working on improving the page following WP:COI. I requested a lot of cleanup of extremely detailed original research, trivia, and primary sources, and now I'm ready to build it back up with more organized, cohesive, and well-cited materials. I've put some proposed major content additions here

 • As discussed with @GoldRomean: a "Version history" section with independent citations and paragraph-style prose, instead of a table
 • An "Architecture" section to replace the current mostly uncited "Main Features"
 • An "Overview" section to combine the History and Background sections

I realize this is a lot for an independent editor to review and appreciate anyone that takes some time to take a look at one section or all of it together! Best, ToniBirdOne (talk) 20:56, 13 May 2026 (UTC)

I'm not sure how quickly, if at all, I can get around to reviewing this—sticking an edit request on this so that it'll at least be in the queue for other reviewers :). Cheers, GoldRomean (talk) 15:47, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
Thanks @GoldRomean: Totally understand. If you are open to it, I'd love if you could chip away at a piece of this. Anything you can do would be amazing. In the meantime -- because the edit request queue is so full -- I'll see if I can find someone else with an interest in similar topics to chip-in though. ToniBirdOne (talk) 18:10, 5 June 2026 (UTC)

Request to Update Academic Status, Career Milestones, and Portrait (2016–2026)

Requested updates: ownership, leadership, and outdated figures

edit

Conflict of interest declaration: I am affiliated with Mor Furniture for Less. Per WP:COI and WP:PAID, I am requesting these changes on the talk page rather than editing the article directly (disclosure is also on my user page). All proposed text is intended to be neutral and verifiable; the reviewing editor of course has final discretion. The article has not been substantively updated since about 2014 and does not reflect the company's 2019 change of ownership or the 2025 leadership transition. I propose the following specific changes, each with independent sources: 1. Replace the outdated lead paragraph Current text: "Mor Furniture is an American furniture retailer, based in San Diego, California. Mor Furniture for Less is currently one of the largest furniture retailers in the United States as of 2010. The company owns and operates 29 stores and 10 warehouses in 7 states..." Proposed text: "Mor Furniture for Less, Inc. is an American furniture and mattress retailer headquartered in San Diego, California. Founded in 1977, the company operates more than 40 stores across seven Western states: California, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico. Since 2019 it has been owned by Chinese mattress manufacturer Healthcare Co., Ltd." Sources: [1] (confirms "more than 40 stores across seven states") [2] 2. Add a new subsection to the History section: "Acquisition by Healthcare Co., Ltd." Proposed text: "In October 2019, Mor Furniture for Less was acquired by Healthcare Co., Ltd., a Chinese mattress manufacturer headquartered in Rugao and owner of the MLILY brand, for approximately US$68.4 million. It was Healthcare Co.'s first retail acquisition in the United States. At the time of the sale, Mor Furniture operated 36 stores with estimated annual sales of more than US$310 million. Healthcare Co. stated that Mor would continue to operate as an independent business, with its executives reporting to leadership in China." Sources: [3] [4] [5] 3. Add the 2025 leadership transition to the History section Proposed text: "Richard "Rick" Haux Jr., son of founder Richard Haux Sr., retired as chief executive officer on October 31, 2025, after a 44-year career with the company. He was succeeded by Jack Yujian as president and CEO." Sources: [6] [7] [8] [9] 4. Update the infobox Change | key_people = to: "Richard Haux Sr. (founder); Jack Yujian (president and CEO)" — the current list names Richard Haux Jr. as CEO (he retired October 31, 2025) plus several vice presidents; per Template:Infobox company guidance the field should normally be limited to founder, chair, and CEO. Sources: same as item 3. Add | parent = Healthcare Co., Ltd. (2019–present) — sources: same as item 2. Add | num_locations = 40+ and | num_locations_year = 2025 — source: Home News Now (item 1). 5. Correct the outdated store count in the body Current text: "The company owns and operates 29 stores and 10 warehouses in 7 states..." Proposed text: "As of 2025, the company operates more than 40 stores in seven states." Source: Home News Now (item 1). 6. Reword the dated superlative in the lead The sentence "Mor Furniture for Less is currently one of the largest furniture retailers in the United States as of 2010" mixes "currently" with a 2010 date. If item 1 is adopted this is resolved; otherwise please change "is currently" to "was, as of 2010,". These sources may also help address the notability tag added in February 2026, as they represent sustained independent coverage in multiple trade and regional business publications from 2019 through 2025. I can provide additional sourcing on request. Thank you for taking the time to review. Edmondwei (talk) 04:39, 2 July 2026 (UTC)

Implementing the results of RfC on Products section

edit

An RfC Talk:Moroccanoil#RfC_on_adding_a_Products_section_for_Moroccanoil decided there should be a Products section, following a disagreement over the proposed section in an edit request: Talk:Moroccanoil#Request_to_add_a_"Products"_section. The language from the original edit request is below. Could someone review and implement it consistently with the RfC decision? I have a COI as an employee of MorrocanOil and can’t implement the edits myself. Thanks.

“Products”

The company’s first product was the original Moroccanoil Treatment, a hair product containing argan oil.[10] Moroccanoil expanded its argan oil-based formula to include other hair care products, including shampoo and conditioner, hair spray,[11] and a unisex styling product called Texture Clay.[10] The company sells a shampoo formulated for blonde hair called Blonde Perfecting Purple Shampoo.[12] The company expanded into body care with the Moroccan Body collection, which comprises moisturizers, exfoliating scrubs, and soap.[10] “Airy Moisture” is a Moroccanoil product line sold in Asia that the company markets as specially formulated for hair needs in the region.[13] Moroccanoil sells a perfume called L’Originale.[14] Cece2018! I made an addition, changing some of the text for better flow. The sources seem contradictory about when they started offering perfume and what L’Originale really is. If you can point me to a RS that explains it, I can make another change. The company's website is a RS for things they are uniquely positioned to know, such as what their own products are and when they were introduced. Julian in LA (talk) 01:17, 1 April 2026 (UTC)

So to sum up, you guys are in the process of turning a balanced article into basically a promotional piece. Congratulations on the vandal who’s showed up again after having others do the dirty job against a major contributor on his behalf. ~ IvanScrooge98 (talk) 11:46, 1 April 2026 (UTC)

Updates for July 2026

edit

I have a couple quick updates for editors to consider. I have a WP:COI as an employee of Moroccanoil.

1. What I think should be changed:

Please add a new fourth paragraph to the “Expansion” subsection of the History section:

In 2025, Moroccanoil began selling its products in 800 Ulta Beauty stores in the U.S.[1]

Why I think it should be changed:

The suggested sentence reflects a significant change in the company’s U.S. retail distribution based on reporting in a top tier source.

2. What I think should be changed:

In the Products section, please add as the new sixth sentence:

The company developed an argan oil lip balm which it began selling in 2026.[2]

Why I think it should be changed:

The suggested sentence adds a factual update about a new product category and brings the Products section more up-to-date. Cece2018! (talk) 16:56, 13 July 2026 (UTC)

Infobox revenue figure is from 2011 swap for more recent figures

edit

Hi Wikipedians,

The revenue in the infobox (£4.5m) comes from a 2011 BBC source, so it's about 15 years old now. The most recent figure I can find in an independent source is £33.1m for 2022, reported by The Scotsman. Could someone swap the field to that, citing:

£33.1 million (2022)[3]

The BBC reference is used elsewhere in the article, so taking it off the revenue field won't break anything.

I'm a paid editor, disclosure on my user page. Not touching the article directly, just flagging it here.

Proposed addition to “Controversy” section: Proctor v HM Treasury litigation

edit

I have an interest in disability rights, welfare rights, and Motability-related legal issues, so I am putting this forward here rather than adding it directly to the article.

Would another editor consider whether the following short addition would be suitable for the “Controversy” section?

Suggested wording:

In April 2026, Disability News Service reported that Motability customer Charlie Proctor had launched legal action against HM Treasury over tax measures affecting the Motability Scheme. The report said the challenge concerned the application of VAT to most advance payments and the removal of an Insurance Premium Tax exemption. Motability Operations said the changes had contributed to revised scheme terms, including lower mileage allowances and higher excess-mileage charges for new leases. Proctor alleged that the measures could disproportionately affect disabled people with higher essential travel needs. HM Treasury said it had received the pre-action letter but would not comment on potential litigation.[1][2]

I have tried to keep the wording neutral by attributing the legal allegations rather than stating them as fact. I think the matter may be relevant because it concerns reported litigation about changes to the Motability Scheme, but I would welcome other editors’ views on due weight and wording.

Kirbylegal (talk) 13:01, 29 June 2026 (UTC)

Having "an interest" can mean two things: either you're interested in those subjects (which means you wouldn't have a COI) or you have interests in those subjects (meaning your financially/relationally tied to either the publications or organizations mentioned in your proposal, in which case you would have a COI). Could you clarify which? When ready to proceed, kindly switch the answer parameter of the request template to 'not answered' or 'no'. Regards,  Spintendo  06:32, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
Hi @Spintendo,
I am relationally and financially tied to motability in 2 ways, I refer my clients to them and I also have a scheme vehicle myself.
I will switch the answer parameter of the request template to not answered.

Sourced correction: national park, tiger reserve area and 2023 Bhainsrodgarh addition

edit

I have a connection to an independent public-interest information project about Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve, so I am requesting review here instead of directly replacing the article. This request is not about adding any external website link.

The current article appears to conflate Mukundara Hills National Park with Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve. The Rajasthan Forest Department separately lists Mukundra Hills National Park as 199.55 km2 and Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve as 1135.787 km2. The department also lists two Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve notifications: F3(8)FOREST/2012 dated 09.04.2013 and F3(22)FOREST/2023 dated 05.10.2023.

Please consider replacing the current lead with the following sourced text:

Mukundara Hills National Park is a national park in south-eastern Rajasthan, India. It forms part of the larger Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve, also spelled Mukundra or Mukandra in some official sources. The Rajasthan Forest Department lists Mukundra Hills National Park as covering 199.55 km2 (77.05 sq mi), while Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve is listed separately as covering 1,135.787 km2 (438.530 sq mi) across Kota, Bundi, Jhalawar and Chittorgarh districts.[3]

The tiger reserve was originally notified in 2013. According to the Wildlife Institute of India's Management Effectiveness Evaluation portal, Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve includes Mukandara National Park, Darrah Sanctuary, Jawahar Sagar Wildlife Sanctuary and part of the Chambal Gharial Sanctuary, and is spread over Kota, Bundi, Chittorgarh and Jhalawar districts.[4] The reserve is located in the Khathiar-Gir dry deciduous forests.[5]

Please also consider adding the following short section after the lead or under “History”:

Proposed new section: Tiger reserve status and area

Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve was notified in 2013 as Rajasthan's third tiger reserve. The original tiger reserve area was 759.99 km2 (293.43 sq mi), comprising a core area of 417.17 km2 (161.07 sq mi) and a buffer area of 342.82 km2 (132.36 sq mi).[4] The Rajasthan Forest Department currently lists two notifications for the tiger reserve: F3(8)FOREST/2012 dated 9 April 2013 and F3(22)FOREST/2023 dated 5 October 2023.[6]

The 2023 notification revised the scheduled area of the tiger reserve to 113,578.70 hectares, or 1,135.787 km2 (438.530 sq mi), replacing the earlier area of 75,999.462 hectares. The revised notification gives 69,071.178 hectares under Schedule I(A) and 44,507.522 hectares under Schedule I(B).[7]

The updated Tiger Conservation Plan states that Bhainsrodgarh Sanctuary was added to Mukandra Hills Tiger Reserve by order 4854336 dated 5 October 2023 and made part of the core tiger reserve.[8] The Rajasthan Forest Department protected-area list still separately lists Bhensrodgarh Sanctuary as a sanctuary of 201.40 km2 (77.76 sq mi), so the article should avoid implying that the sanctuary has ceased to exist as a listed protected area.[3]

Please also update the infobox area field from:

| area = 759.99 km2 (293.43 sq mi)

to something like:

| area =

 • National park: 199.55 km2 (77.05 sq mi)
 • Tiger reserve: 1,135.787 km2 (438.530 sq mi)

Not done: As with existing content on this article, the proposed edits are run into WP:NOT's principle that articles are to avoid listing things such as business alliances, clients, competitors, employees (except CEOs, supervisory directors and similar top functionaries) unless those details are clearly noteworthy based on coverage in independent, reliable sources. Nothing above presented suggests that every deployment and development of Murex's platform should be included. The IBS Times sources almost invariably read like straight press release copy; they are intensely promotional and filled with corporate jargon. Bobsguide, as far as I can tell, is simply a feed of Murex press releases as well. WhinyTheYounger (WtY)(talk, contribs) 18:07, 26 March 2022 (UTC)

Rewrite of "Murex (financial software)" article (LinkedIn reference removed as per instruction)

 • What I think should be changed (include citations):

(I am a paid contributor (a Murex employee) and propose the below major edit to the Wikipedia article on Murex, which would replace the current article on the page to eliminate promotional content and create a neutral, nonbiased entry and to have the tags currently on the article removed, should an editor agree that the promotional content has been successfully edited out.)

Murex is a financial services technology company and market infrastructure provider that provides enterprise-wide, cross-asset capital markets financial technology solutions. Its cross-function platform, MX.3, supports trading, treasury, risk management and post-trade operations.[1] [2]

Murex’s CEO is Elias Eddé. Its executive chairman is Maroun Eddé.[3] It was co-founded founded by Salim Eddé and Laurent Neel.[4]

MX.3, its integrated platform, is used by banks, asset managers, insurance companies, pension funds, hedge funds, corporations, energy utilities and commodities houses in over 65 countries.[5] For more than a decade, Murex has invested over EUR 100 million a year in the development of MX.3.[6]

Murex was founded in 1986 in Paris and is a private company. Murex currently employs over 3,400 worldwide.[7]

Its main office is in Paris. It has 20 global offices in cities such as Beirut, Dublin, Hong Kong, New York, London, Singapore and Sydney.[8]

 • Why it should be changed: (As currently written, the Murex Wikipedia article has multiple issues. Editors have flagged that it has promotional content and requires a cleanup. I am a Murex employee and paid contributor and have developed this neutral text backed by third-party sources that describes the company accurately and excludes partnership information. Overview update request

edit

My name is Rebecca Casamayor and I handle PR for MyFitnessPal. I am also supporting our engagement with Wikipedia.

Could editors take a look at the Overview section of this article? This section was last updated several years ago (the first citation is from 2017) and much of the information is out of date. Also feels like the sourcing could be improved, as a lot of the cited sources are blog posts.

I took a stab at an updated Overview section here:

The big changes here are (a) updating all of the app functionality information, and (b) replacing the blog post sources with academic journal articles (i.e. American Society for Nutrition, British Journal of Sports Medicine, The Physical Educator) and prominent media coverage (e.g. articles in Reuters, BBC, Axios, Fortune, Inc. etc).

Please let me know if this update is possible. Rebecca at MyFitnessPal (talk) 14:41, 8 May 2026 (UTC)

History update request

edit

My name is Rebecca Casamayor and I handle PR for MyFitnessPal. I previously posted here about updating the Overview section, which remains dated and poorly sourced. Now I have a new request to update the History section, which is also out of date.

MyFitnessPal is a prominent app that has generated substantial and sustained media coverage since launch. The current History section captures some of this news, but there are notable developments and acquisitions that are missing, and some existing claims lack encyclopedic context. I've noticed that history sections on Wikipedia end up being bullets with "On date x, such and such happened" framing, and that's certainly the case here. In my opinion, the result is that we have a timeline rather than an encyclopedia entry. Right now it says that the app was developed in 2005... and acquired by Under Armour in 2015 for $475 million. What happened during that ten-year gap that would explain how and why the app became so valuable? That connective tissue is what people come to an encyclopedia to find out, and it's glaringly absent right now.

The draft below attempts to correct this. I've summarized the most notable developments in the early history of the app & company, as reflected in news coverage that's already cited in this article, along with additional stories from outlets like Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch, Verge, et cetera.

This draft is intended to supplement the first several sentences / bullet points in the existing History section. I'm working on another draft that will cover everything after 2017.

I'm happy to discuss my proposed draft! Please let me know if you have any questions. Rebecca at MyFitnessPal (talk) 14:11, 8 June 2026 (UTC)

Revised Overview request

edit

Hello, my name is Rebecca Casamayor and I handle PR for MyFitnessPal. I am posting an updated request to revise the Overview section following feedback from Spintendo about the use of TechCrunch and ZDNet. I have removed those sources from the draft below, which is intended to replace the existing Overview section:

Revised History request

edit

Following feedback on my last History section draft, I'm back with a revised request featuring different sources for the same claims.

Per my summary above, this draft captures the most notable developments in the early history of the app & company, as reflected in news coverage that's already cited in this article (like ReadWrite), along with additional stories from the Wall Street Journal and other outlets. This draft is intended to replace the first several sentences / bullet points in the existing History section. I'm working on another draft that will cover everything after 2017.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Rebecca at MyFitnessPal (talk) 13:19, 26 June 2026 (UTC)

Second history request

edit

This is Rebecca Casamayor from MyFitnessPal again. Following my history request above (which covered everything from launch to 2017), I have another request to expand the history section to include notable news and developments from 2017 onward. This would be all new material.

You can see the draft here:

Per my other drafts, I have cited all of these claims to news coverage in outlets like Axios, Bloomberg, and Adweek.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Rebecca at MyFitnessPal (talk) 15:04, 6 July 2026 (UTC)

Remove mention of Sky Group and Comcast Business

edit

Would an editor consider removing this sentence from the top section:

"Since November 7, 2018, Sky Group, which holds European-only media and telecommunications interests, is also under Comcast's control alongside Comcast Business."

Sky Group and Comcast Business are different businesses within Comcast Corporation, and not necessarily relevant to the history of NBCUniversal. Thanks for your consideration. WeekdayUpdate (talk) 20:49, 30 June 2025 (UTC)

Update to Divisions Infobox section

edit

Would an editor consider making an update to the Divisons section? The current divisions are:

Universal Studio Group should be removed, as it is a unit within NBCUniversal Media Group, as validated by the NBCUniversal press website and by independent media coverage.[1][2] Thanks for your consideration. WeekdayUpdate (talk) 21:13, 30 June 2025 (UTC)

Shorten Television/Combining with Universal section

edit

Would an editor consider streamlining this section by removing this segment?

"NBC Studios series brought into the company include the NBC dramas Las Vegas (with DreamWorks Television), Crossing Jordan, and American Dreams. Universal Network Television brought the Law & Order franchise and The District—in fact, Universal Network Television had co-produced American Dreams with NBC before the merger. Universal Television Distribution shows also brought into company include Jerry Springer and Maury."

(Most of these shows have not been in production for many years.) Thanks for your consideration. WeekdayUpdate (talk) 21:26, 30 June 2025 (UTC)

Shorten Xumo section

edit

Would an editor consider shortening the Xumo paragraph under the "Preparation of Peacock streaming service" section? The first and last sentence are relevant to the NBCUniversal story, but everything else might be better told by linking to the Xumo page, where that information is duplicated. I'll let someone else respond to this, just want to point out that this very much looks more like an attempt to curate a page ("the NBCUniversal story") as opposed to making encyclopedic contributions Likeanechointheforest (talk) 18:51, 24 August 2025 (UTC)

Shorten Peacock section

edit

Would an editor consider removing the paragraph under the "Preparation of Peacock streaming service" section beginning with "NBCUniversal Content Studios was formed in October 2019..." The organizational references are no longer relevant to the broader story. Thanks for your consideration. WeekdayUpdate (talk) 23:32, 13 August 2025 (UTC)

Edit request: Article structure - consolidating scattered content per WP:LAYOUT

edit

COI Disclosure: I have a conflict of interest with this article as I work with NBCUniversal. Per Wikipedia guidelines, I am not editing directly but proposing changes here for community review.

Summary:

I've noticed the History section contains several topics that are scattered across multiple subsections but could be consolidated for better reader navigation, consistent with WP:LAYOUT guidance. This proposal involves reorganizing existing sourced content—not removing information or adding new material.

Observation 1: Sports broadcasting content is fragmented

The article currently mentions sports broadcasting deals in passing within the History narrative, but readers looking for information about NBCUniversal's sports broadcasting would need to search through multiple sections. Comparable articles like The Walt Disney Company and Warner Bros. Discovery use dedicated sections to consolidate this type of content.

Content that is currently scattered includes:

 • Olympics broadcasting (mentioned briefly but not consolidated)
 • League partnerships

Per WP:STRUCTURE, would editors support consolidating existing sports broadcasting references into a dedicated subsection? This would be a reorganization of existing content for navigation purposes.

Observation 2: Content about creative partnerships could be better organized

For example, the article currently discusses the Amblin Partners relationship in the History section (circa 2015-2017). This is a significant ongoing business relationship that spans film production and distribution. There are similar examples from artists like Tina Fey, Jordan Peele, Jason Blum, Christopher Nolan, and Dick Wolf that readers might find useful under a single subhead.

Would there be interest in whether this type of long-term partnership content would benefit from its own subsection, or should it remain in the chronological History narrative? I'm genuinely asking for community guidance here, as I recognize there are valid arguments for both approaches.

Note: I'm asking for community input on whether these structural changes would improve the article's navigation, not requesting specific wording. Happy to defer to whatever approach editors prefer. WeekdayUpdate (talk) 18:25, 29 January 2026 (UTC)

Factual update: Outdated ownership stakes in introduction

edit

COI Disclosure: I work with NBCUniversal and am not editing directly.

The introduction currently states that NBCUniversal has "ownership stakes in Snap Inc. and Vox Media." My understanding is that NBCUniversal has divested these positions.

Would an editor consider updating or removing this reference? I can provide sourcing for when these stakes were sold if that would be helpful. WeekdayUpdate (talk) 18:31, 29 January 2026 (UTC)

I found a citation showing that NBCUniversal sold its stake in Snap Inc., but could not find a similar citation about Vox Media. CornerLitTweak (talk) 05:12, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
Thank you for finding the Snap citation. Regarding the Vox Media stake — there's been a development since this was originally posted. When Comcast completed its separation of Versant Media Group in January 2026, the Vox Media ownership stake transferred to Versant along with other digital assets (Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, etc.). Multiple trade sources have since confirmed this:
Since NBCUniversal no longer holds this stake, the reference to Vox Media in the introduction appears to be outdated. Combined with the Snap divestiture you already confirmed, would an editor consider removing or updating these ownership references in the lead section? WeekdayUpdate (talk)

"Possible acquisition of Paramount Skydance" section — WP:CRYSTAL concern

edit

COI Disclosure: I work with NBCUniversal and am not editing directly.

The "Possible acquisition of Paramount Skydance" subsection currently contains two items, both describing events that have not occurred. The sources cited attribute the claims to unnamed industry analysts and use speculative language ("may try to merge," "may merge to bolster"). No acquisition has been announced, no regulatory filing exists, and no official negotiations have been confirmed by either party.

Per WP:CRYSTAL, Wikipedia generally avoids presenting speculation about future events as encyclopedic content. I'd also note that comparable articles (The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros. Discovery) do not include standalone subsections for rumored acquisitions that remain unconfirmed.

Would an editor consider whether this subsection meets the threshold for inclusion under WP:CRYSTAL? If there's consensus that the coverage is notable enough to retain, a single sentence within the broader restructuring context might be more proportionate than a dedicated subsection. Edit request: Update Donna Langley's title in Notable people section

edit

Conflict of interest disclosure: I work with NBCUniversal and am submitting this as an edit request per WP:COI rather than editing the article directly.

A recent edit changed Donna Langley's title in the Notable people section from "Chairman, NBCUniversal Entertainment" to "Chairman, NBCUniversal Entertainment & Studios." The revised title does not appear to be supported by current reliable sources.

Coverage of Langley's BAFTA Fellowship in February 2026 refers to her as Chairman, NBCUniversal Entertainment:

Per WP:V, the title used in the Notable people list should match what reliable independent sources currently report. Requesting the entry be restored to Chairman, NBCUniversal Entertainment, with one or both of the above sources cited inline.

Sports section: possible overview and some missing rights agreements

edit

COI Disclosure: I work with NBCUniversal and will not edit the page directly.

A couple of observations about the Sports section, offered for editors to weigh — I'm not proposing specific wording, just flagging the gaps and providing sources for whoever decides to take this on.

First, the section currently opens with early newsreel and experimental-broadcast history and then lists individual rights deals, with no short overview to orient the reader on how NBCUniversal's sports operations are structured today. Editors may wish to consider whether a brief lead sentence would help, along the lines of how The Walt Disney Company and Fox Corporation summarize their sports arms before getting into specifics. I'll leave whether to add one, and how to phrase it, entirely to editors.

Second, several major properties NBCUniversal currently holds national U.S. rights to are not mentioned in the section. If editors think any of these belong, here are the facts with independent sourcing — the wording and level of detail would be theirs to decide:

 • Major League Baseball — returns to NBC and Peacock for the 2026 season under a three-year agreement (2026–28), taking over Sunday-night and Wild Card Series coverage; reported as NBC's first regular MLB coverage in decades.
"MLB finalizes national TV broadcast deals with ESPN, NBC, Netflix"CBS Sports
"MLB Finalizes Short-Term TV Rights Deals, Adds NBC and Netflix"Front Office Sports
 • NASCAR — under media rights agreements running 2025 through 2031, NBC carries the closing stretch of the NASCAR Cup Series season, including the playoffs and championship race.
"NASCAR announces new media rights deal for 2025 and beyond"CBS Sports
 • Big Ten football — beginning in 2023, NBC carries a Big Ten Conference football package ("Big Ten Saturday Night") on NBC and Peacock under a seven-year agreement running through 2029–30.
"Big Ten completes 7-year, $7 billion media rights agreement with Fox, CBS, NBC"ESPN
"Big Ten reaches seven-year media rights deal with CBS, Fox and NBC through 2029-30"CBS Sports
 • Notre Dame football — NBC has carried Notre Dame home football games since 1991, with the partnership extended through the 2029 season.
"Notre Dame football extends TV deal with NBC through 2029"ESPN
"Notre Dame Looks to Maintain Independence with NBC Extension"Sportico
 • Golf (USGA championships) — NBC is the broadcast home of the U.S. Open and other USGA championships, under an agreement that the USGA and NBCUniversal extended through 2032.
"USGA sticks with NBC for coverage of U.S. Open"ESPN
"USGA strikes media rights deal with NBC and Versant through 2032"Golf Digest

Whether to add any of this, how much to include, and how to word it is up to editors — I'm just supplying the sourced facts. Happy to provide additional independent sources for any item on request. Flagging WP:COI: I have a conflict of interest and will not edit the page directly.

Organization question: production-partnership content, with examples

edit

Question for editors about where the article handles NBCUniversal's standing production relationships.

Content about Universal's long-running relationships with filmmakers and television producers is currently spread across the History section and the infobox. The Amblin Partners formation, the 2017 minority stake in Amblin, and the DreamWorks Animation acquisition sit chronologically within History, while the Amblin and Blumhouse stakes also appear in the Brands list of the infobox. A reader trying to understand how Universal works with outside creators has to assemble it from several places.

For consistency with comparable articles — Warner Bros. Discovery and Paramount Skydance both group recurring studio and producer relationships rather than scattering them through the chronology — would it make sense to add a dedicated subsection that consolidates this material? On the heading, I'd defer to editors; something neutral such as Production partnerships is probably more appropriate under WP:NPOV than anything more elaborate. Whether to create it, where to place it, and what to call it would be editors' calls — I'm raising it rather than prescribing it.

To show the kind of material that already exists and could sit together, here are several relationships, each with independent sourcing. I'm not proposing wording — just offering the sourced facts so editors can judge what, if anything, belongs and how to phrase it:

 • Steven Spielberg / Amblin Partners — NBCUniversal holds a minority stake in Amblin Partners (acquired 2017), and Universal/Focus Features distributes Amblin's films under a partnership first announced in 2015. (Already cited in the article's History section.)
 • Dick Wolf / Wolf Entertainment — overall deal with Universal Television spanning nearly 40 years; produces the Law & Order, One Chicago and FBI franchises. The deal was extended in 2023 through 2027.
"With Nine Shows on the Air, Dick Wolf Extends Overall Deal at Universal Television Through 2027"Variety
"Dick Wolf Extends Universal TV Overall Deal"The Hollywood Reporter
 • Tina Fey / Little Stranger — overall deal with Universal Television and a first-look deal with Universal Pictures dating to 2016; recent and continuing work for NBCUniversal platforms including Peacock.
"Tina Fey's Little Stranger Inks First-Look Deal With Universal"Variety
"Lang Fisher & Tina Fey Adapting 'Finlay Donovan Is Killing It' For Peacock"Deadline
 • Jordan Peele / Monkeypaw Productions — first-look deal with Universal Pictures signed in 2017 and extended in 2019, under which Universal released Get Out, Us and Nope.
"Jordan Peele Inks Rich Five-Year First-Look Deal With Universal"The Hollywood Reporter
 • Christopher Nolan / Syncopy — Universal released Nolan's Oppenheimer (2023) and is distributing his next film, The Odyssey (2026).
"Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey' News: Everything We Know So Far"Deadline
The Odyssey (2026 film) — Wikipedia

Whether any of this is added, how much, and how it's worded would be entirely up to editors. If the structural change is agreeable, I'm happy to provide additional independent sources or a fuller list in a follow-up so each item can be evaluated on its own merits. Flagging WP:COI: I have a conflict of interest and will not edit the page directly.

Theme-park segment: brief mention of the Nintendo partnership?

edit

COI Disclosure: I work with NBCUniversal and will not edit the page directly, per WP:COI.

A small question for editors about the theme-park coverage on this page.

The article's treatment of Universal's theme-park operations is brief, and one independently-documented item isn't mentioned: the partnership between Nintendo and Universal (announced May 2015) that produced the Super Nintendo World areas now open at Universal Studios Japan, Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Epic Universe. Comparable corporate articles tend to note major IP partnerships of this scale within the relevant segment.

For consistency, would it make sense to add a brief, neutral mention — a sentence or so — in the Universal Destinations & Experiences context, cross-linking to Super Nintendo World so the detail sits on those articles rather than here? I'd defer entirely to editors on whether to add it and how to phrase it. Independent sourcing for the partnership:

"Nintendo and Universal power up for theme park attractions"CNN

I'm happy to provide independent sources for the individual park openings if useful. WP:COI: I have a conflict of interest and will not edit the page directly.

Edit request

edit

I'm currently part of a GLAM Partnership that involves the Khalili Collections. Because of my COI, I've only been making minor edits to the article. Now that I have a major edit to suggest, I'm proposing it here.

At the moment Khalili's philanthropy and his honours and awards are included under the heading "Personal life". This is unusual for a Wikipedia biography: honours and awards are normally a top-level section. Personal life is normally the section to mention the subject's family, where they've lived and so on. Nothing in the present "Personal life" section is what would normally be considered personal life. Philanthropy is a very public part of this subject's life — it's a main reason this person is notable — so it would be better in its own section. So I suggest: 1) Recognition be promoted to a level 1 heading, within which Honours & awards is a subsection. 2) The heading Personal life is replaced by Philanthropic work, where the existing Philanthropic work subsection is followed by the text below, and the subheading for Maimonides Interfaith Foundation is removed:

A panorama of Jerusalem from the House of Peace series

Khalili founded the charitable Maimonides Interfaith Foundation in 1995 to promote "understanding, cooperation and peace between Jews, Christians and Muslims internationally through art, culture and education".[1][2] In the 1990s, he commissioned a series of five paintings by the artist Ben Johnson called the House of Peace to promote "peace and harmony" between Judaism, Christianity and Islam.[3] The foundation also donated thousands of copies of The Timeline History of Islamic Art and Architecture (Visions of Splendour) written by Khalili himself, to schools in the United Kingdom and Islamic countries.[4]

Interfaith Explorers is a six-week programme for children in the final year of primary school,[5] promoting tolerance by teaching them about Abrahamic religions.[6] Supported by UNESCO,[5] the course is freely offered to schools and supported by a bank of four hundred online videos.[6] It was launched at the Regent's Park Mosque and mentioned in a speech by Chief Rabbi Jonathan Sacks as an example of a group promoting interfaith understanding.[7]

Faith in the Commonwealth is a global citizenship education project started jointly by the Commonwealth and the Khalili Foundation.[8][9] It gives Training of Trainers workshops to people from the ages of 15 to 29 from different faith backgrounds, including those of no faith.[10] Over multiple days of training, participants discuss and challenge their assumptions around faith, culture, identity and gender[10] and are supported in developing social action projects within their communities.[11] These projects address topics such as hate speech, girls' education, and indigenous people's rights.[11] The workshops began in December 2017,[12] taking place first in Nairobi,[8] in Trinidad and Tobago,[13] and in Dhaka where it was opened by Biren Sikder, then Bangladesh's State Minister for Youth and Sports.[9]

The project also offers a global citizenship education (GCED) toolkit: a peer-reviewed course that university students can take to complement their studies.[10] This has been developed by three universities in Commonwealth countries, working with the Commonwealth Secretariat.[14] It covers eight global issues in the context of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.[11] Commonwealth Secretary-General Patricia Scotland promoted the project during a 2020 trip to Malaysia,[15] advocating it as in line with the government's policy of Rahmatan lil Alamin or 'mercy to all creations".[16]

The Global Hope Coalition is a network of three not-for-profit organisations. Nasser Khalili is the chair of Global Hope Europe, while Deborah Lehr chairs Global Hope USA and Li Yongjun chairs Global Hope Asia. Irina Bokova, former Director of UNESCO, is the coalition's honorary president.[17] The coalition was founded in 2016 and gives annual awards to political leaders and "everyday heroes" who combat extremism and intolerance.[18][19][20][21] Among those who have been recognised are Nigerian feminist writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie,[21] South Sudanese artist and actor Emmanuel Jal,[22] and Canadian technology entrepreneur and philanthropist Jim Estill.[19]

We meet again! Unfortunately, your request cannot be implemented exactly as requested because:
 • One of your references is broken—FTMay12 goes nowhere.
 • I am not sure that the changes are all good. They seem overly WP:PROMOTIONAL, and the first sentence seems to violate WP:MISSION, when the previous one did just fine.
 • "Faith in the Commonwealth", et cetera, should not be italicized per MOS:ITALICS.
 • "Interfaith Explorers" seems to not be written in a way that's neutral. Not everyone believes that religion per se promotes tolerance, I'd say that the idea that actually learning about religion promotes intolerance is a significant minority (atheist) viewpoint, so we can't just say that it works. (I'm a Christian, personally, but it just strikes me as not neutral.)
Cite 6 doesn't include the word tolerance, but the juxtaposition makes it seem like UNESCO is saying religious education supports tolerance. Why is the royal family being left out, when they seem to be the most enthusiastic supporters?
 • I don't know that "Faith in the Commonwealth" deserves this much weight. Certainly some, but this article is about Khalili, not it; we don't need to know where every workshop has been over the years nor who opened it in Bangladesh.
 • Likewise, I don't know that it matters who the other presumably (due to them not having articles) non-notable chairs of the "Global Hope Coalition" are.
 • Why do we need Rahmatan lil Alamin? Seems like an unnecessary foreign term. Why is it capitalized when translation isn't? Wikipedia:Writing better articles § Use other languages sparingly
 • I think "everyday heroes" needs so-called before it.
I also have some general comments about the article. This person is obviously very, very notable. However, it seems like he's never done anything wrong in his life. Where did his money come from? Perhaps Karl Marx has had too much influence on me, but I find it hard to believe that unless someone played the lottery (or the stock market from a small amount of money, I suppose), they made a billion dollars without upsetting anyone or doing something unethical. Is it inherited? I'd expect this information to be in § Financial, which probably should be called § Finances.
My second comment is about the lack of a photo. File:Wikimedia UK Khalili Collection partnership.webm seems to have one, though, so that ought to be easily remedied, take a screenshot of it and use a template similar to . If not, ask Mr. Khalili for a photo for his bio. You can, right? Not sure if you've ever met him, or if you're just being paid indirectly through his foundation.
@MartinPoulter: I also slightly changed the organization of the article from what you requested. Please let me know when you reply where you want the text given the new organization. Psiĥedelisto (talkcontribs) please always ping! 09:28, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
@Psiĥedelisto: Thanks a lot for your work on this. You make some valid points and you've definitely improved the article with the restructure. Some of my detail was excessive, but it's a judgement call, which is part of the reason for inviting other editors to look at the proposal. Answering specific points:
 • FTMay12 isn't my ref. It's an interview with the Financial Times, already in the article- ref 7 in the present version.
checkY In future, if you're going to want to use sources by their names in the article, or other similarly complex requests, please make a complete draft in your userspace of the entire article. That will prevent any miscommunication about desired layout of sections as well. You can link to Special:Diff in future WP:ERs if you want to have multiple requests open at a time which don't need to be added together.
 • My opinions about religion or religious education aren't in the proposed text. I'm trying to express what the charity aims to do. Fine to add "intending to..." or another qualifier to make that clear.
checkY
 • I Googled Deborah Kehr and it looks to me like she deserves a Wikipedia biography as head of multiple organisations, so I created a redlink. Nobody pretends Wikipedia is complete, so nothing should be inferred from the lack of an article about her. Li Yongjun has won an award for preserving China's cultural heritage, so is probably notable too. I hadn't looked deeply into it, but thought he deserves the benefit of the doubt. But I accept that maybe this is too much detail for the present biography.
checkY Right, I'm not really asserting that they're not notable, I'm just presuming that. Of course Wikipedia isn't complete, but at the same time, someone very notable, who became so in the last five years, is very likely to have an article. So, as a shortcut, we can sometimes use not having an article as a proxy for notability. What was really the problem wasn't the red links, certainly they're allowed, it was, as you mentioned, WP:TMI.
 • Quoting "everday heroes", which I did, has the same semantic effect as prefixing with "so-called".
checkY OK, I accept that.
 • Neutrality requires that we fairly summarise the reliable sources about the subject, not that we find wrong things a person has done to "balance" their life morally. There is already text and references in the article addressing how he made money.
Question? Sorry, not buying this argument. I'm not asking you to seek a false balance. I'm questioning whether someone at this level of notability, with an article this long, who is as old as Khalili, can really have 100% of the content be flattering. We have a whole article called criticism of Mother Teresa. Also, the article is not clear at all about how he got so rich. It says his parents were art and antiques dealers. Many such families exist, very few of them create billionaires powerful enough to get people to write about them when they might not even care what their Wikipedia bio looks like. More information is definitely needed: how much was inherited? Did he use it as seed money to start businesses, or did he primarily grow it through investing? Whether any interesting, independent and reliable criticism of how he earned it falls out is up to the sources, but if it's not there I won't hold that against you.
 • There were previously photos in the article that were deleted as not properly licensed, but I think this is in progress.
Question? In progress? Do you mean you messaged WP:OTRS?
 • I've never met Prof. Khalili and I have no idea what he thinks of this article about him, or if he cares. It seems you and I both agree though that the article could be improved and that's the point of this discussion.
checkY Adding an image does improve the article, there's no reason to be defensive. I'm not accusing you of any wrongdoing.
 • My request: could there be a mention of the Global Hope Coalition and of Faith in the Commonwealth in the "Philanthropy" section? These are activities that have coverage and that are relevant to Prof. Khalili, but I totally take on board that my proposed text went into excessive detail.
checkY Of course, I didn't propose removing them entirely.

@MartinPoulter: Replied point by point. Psiĥedelisto (talkcontribs) please always ping! 14:31, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
@Psiĥedelisto: Hi again, I saw that you okayed the addition of the Global Hope Coalition and Faith in the Commonwealth to the article, so thought that meant you were going to add them, but I see these haven't been added. The other points aren't relevant to this edit request. With respect to the images, I didn't mean to imply that I was uploading an image. I think someone connected to Khalili is doing that and this requires them to get written notification from the photographer and to share that with OTRS. I don't know the financial detail beyond what's in the article.
Just to get back to basics, this edit request is here because I'm making a request for you (or another uninvolved editor) to add content that I ought not to because of COI. We've made progress on what needs to be added — in fact we seem to have come to an agreement! — so what remains is to act on it. You seem to think that you're requesting me to make an unrelated change to the article! Of course this Talk page can be used to discuss what about the article could be improved- and there's lots of things. But there's no reason to target questions to me as I don't have any special knowledge and there are a lot of reliable sources already linked in the article or listed on the Talk page above this discussion. Nothing stops you using those. Again, I don't see why the question about financials is being directed at me in the context of an edit request which isn't about that topic.
I don't know what point you're making with the Mother Theresa comparison. There are entire books criticising Mother Theresa, so it's natural for that to be summarised in a Wikipedia article. Same with other people when there is extensive published criticism. That doesn't imply there should automatically be criticism articles or sections for other people who are old, rich, or whatever other criteria. We have to be guided by sources that actually exist, not what someone speculates might exist. Especially since this is a BLP, claims need to be well-sourced, not "His article is long and he is in his seventies, therefore..." MartinPoulter (talk) 12:54, 9 July 2020 (UTC)
@MartinPoulter: Especially since this is a BLP, claims need to be well-sourced, not "His article is long and he is in his seventies, therefore..." ← I am, of course, well aware of WP:BLP, and have written BLP's, most recently Hiroyuki Nishimura (69.6% as of Diff/965822591). I'm not the paid editor though, nor familiar with the sources, nor do I have any interest in volunteering my time to become familiar with the sources that exist on this subject (other than ones you provide, and any others I might have to find if the ones you provide are dubious!). I also wrote quite plainly Whether any interesting, independent and reliable criticism of how he earned it falls out is up to the sources, but if it's not there I won't hold that against you., meaning I was willing to trust you despite your COI if you had replied with e.g. I have read almost every reliable source I am aware of about Khalili, and have found no criticism worth mentioning of how he attained his wealth, nor of his character.
Regarding your understanding of the COI ER process, I do not, as a general rule, implement part of an edit request. As with Inkian Jason on Talk:Wheely § Draft, my WP:ER process is to compare every change in the draft to the article and ask for changes to the draft until I believe it meets Wikipedia policies on neutral point of view, verifiability and reliable sourcing,[WP:ERREQ]:§§ General considerations & Responding to requests after which I implement the entire request. This is to be done per my interpretation of WP:COIRESPONSE No.1. Again, I don't see why the question about financials is being directed at me in the context of an edit request which isn't about that topic. ← So that, when I add five paragraphs of glowing praise on Mr. Khalili's behalf, I am sure that my edit is morally correct vis-à-vis WP:WEIGHT and WP:NPOV.
So, those're my thoughts on the issue. But, of course, I don't need to be the reviewer if you think I'm sorely mistaken. I will understand if you re-open your COI ER, and won't be offended. Psiĥedelisto (talkcontribs) please always ping! 02:29, 15 July 2020 (UTC)

Edit request October 2020

edit

I have created an improved draft of this article at User:MartinPoulter/Nasser_Khalili. This diff summarises the changes I've made. I think this is a clear improvement over what is there at the moment, but of course I'm open to discussing any of the changes individually. Being involved in a GLAM partnership with the Khalili Collections, I'm prevented by a COI from pasting in the whole draft myself. Below I list the problems with the existing article that this new version is designed to fix.

 • Lots of broken links, links to outdated sources, and bare URLs.
 • Links to Khalili publications when third-party sources exist
 • The Sydney Morning Herald article is listed as its own source, but it's just a reprint of the Bloomberg profile.
 • Some WP:PEACOCK or otherwise unencyclopedic language
 • In particular, the lead needed an overhaul because of some confusing language and because it was not a summary of the article. The fact about Bernie Ecclestone buying a house from Khalili arguably deserves mention in the article, but it's a bit tabloidy to have it in the lead as though it's central to understanding who Khalili is.
 • The descriptions of most of the collections have been updated, drawing on articles about each collection which have passed AFC and DYK review.
 • The Khalili Collection of Islamic Art being "curated by Julian Raby" seems to have been true at one point but is presently contradicted by https://www.khalilicollections.org/islamic-arts/#read-more so I've removed it.
 • Images have been provided to represent each of the eight collections.
 • Two items owned by Khalili are the subjects of WP articles: Khalili Imperial Garniture and Jami' al-tawarikh, so I've described and wikilinked both.
 • A lot of the sources about Khalili refer to his philanthropy, but there was not much about philanthropy in the biography, so I've rewritten that section. "In 2012, he pledged over £1.5 million in support of his charity, The Maimonides Interfaith Foundation, in celebration of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee." - removed because I couldn't find a source.
 • Property development section: "Khalili acquired the freehold in 2009" removed because I couldn't find it in the sources. There is no need for the images in this section to be enlarged, so I set them to default size.
 • The Recognition section had some duplication and was written in a very inconsistent way. The UNESCO goodwill ambassador subsection did not give an impression of what he does in this capacity.
 • The Financial section overlapped heavily with the Business and collecting career section, so I merged it in.
 • It is customary for a biography of a published author to contain a bibliography, so I've added a new section for that. I don't have the title of the first book he wrote, but I am still hoping to find that out and include it.
 • New, short section on Personal life. It's common to put family details in their own section towards the end.

Again, the proposed solution for these problems, and the supporting refs, are in the draft in my userspace and I'm very happy to further discuss changes if that is necessary. Thanks in advance for any help, MartinPoulter (talk) 16:01, 5 October 2020 (UTC)

Pinging @Philafrenzy, Edwardx, and No Swan So Fine: - three editors who have made numerous edits to this article and have removed promotional material - in case they can help. MartinPoulter (talk) 12:30, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for your transparency and your enormous work on this article and his wonderful collections. I concur with all of your above changes and your dedication to improving flow and prose - which is a rare ability on Wikipedia! The article still preserves the enigmatic nature of Khalili's Kane like grandiloquent collecting, and serves as brilliant glimpse into the life and motivations of a fascinating London character. I hope the GLAM partnership with Khalili will prove to be an inspiration to other collectors and custodians of the memory of humanity. No Swan So Fine (talk) 22:36, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
@No Swan So Fine: You're very kind. If you agree that my draft is an improvement, could you please paste it in to replace the current article? Thanks so much, MartinPoulter (talk) 22:44, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
Done. No Swan So Fine (talk) 23:50, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
Clicking "Thank" is not enough: I'm extremely grateful! MartinPoulter (talk) 16:12, 10 October 2020 (UTC)

Edit request

edit

To the list of Honours and awards, please add Freedom of the City of London, which he was given yesterday (6 November 2025). Source: https://www.jewishnews.co.uk/freedom-of-london-for-jewish-art-scholar-whos-amassed-worlds-largest-collection-of-islamic-art/

Many thanks in advance, MartinPoulter (talk) 14:32, 7 November 2025 (UTC)

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. NotJamestack (talk) 16:38, 7 November 2025 (UTC)
Thanks for responding. In the Honours and awards subsection of the article there is a list. Please to the end of this list add "Freedom of the City of London (2025)" with this source: "Freedom of London for Jewish art scholar who's amassed world's largest collection of Islamic art". Jewish News. 7 November 2025. Retrieved 2025-11-09. Cheers, MartinPoulter (talk) 14:40, 9 November 2025 (UTC)
Please use a "change X to Y" format. NotJamestack (talk) 15:02, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
I'm not proposing a change but an addition. Are you saying that you don't understand the instruction I've given above? Would it help to think of it as a change from the existing list to a list that is one item longer? MartinPoulter (talk) 20:52, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
You have been asked to use a "change X to Y" format. Also, you seem to have disclosed a conflict of interest. Is that true? NotJamestack (talk) 22:16, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
I've given a "change X to Y" format in my comment above; I'm requesting the change of a specified list to a list which is the same but has an additional item at the end. As you can see on this Talk page and the fact I've used the COI edit process to request this edit, I acknowledge a conflict of interest. Can you explain what the barrier is? MartinPoulter (talk) 11:46, 11 November 2025 (UTC)
WP:CHANGEXY says "Insert X after Y" is an acceptable format. So I'm asking that after the list item 'Knight Bachelor "for services to interfaith relations and charity" (2020)', please insert a new list item with the following wiki code * Freedom of the City of London (2025) MartinPoulter (talk) 12:03, 11 November 2025 (UTC)

Description by Pope Benedict

edit
 • Suggested change: In the Recognition section, after "Pope Benedict XVI further elevated him to Knight Commander in that order (KCSS) for his pursuit of peace, education and culture among nations.", add a new sentence:
Pope Benedict described Khalili as having "in one person the great wisdom of a Chief Rabbi, a Cardinal and a Grand Mufti".

Thanks in advance for any response, MartinPoulter (talk) 11:42, 14 April 2026 (UTC)

I'm torn on this one. It's an undeniably impressive compliment, but I think it might be a bit much; Khalili's honors largely speak for themselves. Not going to accept or decline it outright, I'll leave it open for another editor. DiscoursesonLivvy (talk · contribs) 05:15, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
With all due respect for Jewish News, seeing as this is a representation that we're saying came from Pope Benedict, I'd prefer the Press Office of the Holy See as the source. That should be relatively easy to locate. Once this is done, the H:WIKILINK for Grand Mufti should be applied to the proposed text, since that term seems to be (from a Western perspective at least) the one possibly needing an explantion for readers. When ready to proceed with the source URL and WikiLink, please reopen this request by altering the Edit COI template's answer parameter to read from |ans=y to |ans=n. Thank you! Interfaith Explorers

edit

In the fifth paragraph of the Philanthropy section, it says "Its activities include the Maimonides Interfaith Explorers, a UNESCO-supported online educational resource for children aged 10 to 11." This site still exists under the name "Interfaith Explorers"; for most of its existence it has not been known as "Maimonidies Interfaith Explorers". See for example ref 32 in the current article or page 4 of this UNESCO document. The citation at the end of the sentence (ref 31) is to a dead link that isn't archived. My request is to remove "Maimonides" from that sentence and remove ref 31 because ref 32 supports nearly the whole sentence. I can't yet find a UNESCO reference to back up the phrase "UNESCO-supported" so I suggest removing that too for now and I'll put in another request if necessary. Thanks very much for any help! Performing factual updates to the page on Natalia Trayanova

edit

Hi, I am a longtime friend, former grad student, and current employee of the subject of this page. I have been tasked with updating it to reflect new publications, awards, etc and will be attempting to do so in a neutral and factual way. Some of the information is outdated and other information simply needs to be added. I was notified I should post a disclosure on my user page at User:Brocktice and have done so.

I am reworking the article at User:Brocktice/sandbox/NataliaTrayanova and will seek some kind of approval before moving further edits here. Brocktice (talk) 14:26, 28 December 2025 (UTC)

I have created a heavily revamped version of this page here: User:Brocktice/sandbox/NataliaTrayanova, I propose the contents be used to replace the current page. Brocktice (talk) 16:52, 17 February 2026 (UTC)
For COI edits, it usually works much better to explain what specifically you think should be changed or added and why than to write a new version. This proposal illustrates why. It incorporates vacuous and promotional text like "She is an inventor on tens of patents and patent applications filed worldwide", makes claims for the significance of the subject's research based only on the research publications themselves and on employer press releases rather than independent secondary sources, and mixes up significant recognition (the many society fellowships) with minor trivia (the JHU Hop Quiz and delivering a Ted Talk). I do not think it is in a usable state. —David Eppstein (talk) 01:46, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
I agree, and I am declining this request. Please make a new request that focuses on specific changes or additions, rather than a complete rewrite. Fiske (talk) 21:46, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
The original article is in terrible shape. It contains irrelevant and outdated information. Would you consider proposing some specific changes to the rewritten article? The new one is thoroughly fact checked and all links include archive links as well where appropriate.Brocktice (talk) 16:15, 24 March 2026 (UTC)
Given the lack of response on this, I will post each proposed edit individually. Brocktice (talk) 16:49, 7 April 2026 (UTC)

Infobox update

edit

Per my COI disclosure above, I am a longtime friend, former grad student, and current employee of the subject. Following the guidance to propose specific changes rather than a full rewrite, I am submitting a series of focused edit requests.

Current infobox fields:

| alma_mater = Bulgarian Academy of Sciences <br>
Sofia University
| awards =

Proposed replacement:

| alma_mater = Sofia University (MS, 1982) <br>
Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (PhD, 1986)
| awards = NIH Director's Pioneer Award (2013) <br>
Heart Rhythm Society Distinguished Scientist Award (2019)

Rationale: The alma mater field currently lists institutions without degrees or dates; adding these is standard for scientist infoboxes and the information is already cited in the article body. The awards field is currently blank despite two major awards (NIH Pioneer Award, HRS Distinguished Scientist) already being discussed and sourced in the article text. No new sources needed — this just surfaces existing cited content into the infobox. Brocktice (talk) 16:53, 7 April 2026 (UTC)

Create Lead section

edit

 • COI disclosure, I have a COI and am therefore submitting changing the existing Lead Section. Details are immediately below, followed by the proposed text.

Thank you in advance.  Preceding unsigned comment added by BuzzGnat (talkcontribs) 14:04, 22 June 2026 (UTC)

 • Specific text to be added or removed:

REMOVE current Lead Section text: "Natalie Kwadrans (fl. 1990–) is a Canada snowboarder."

REPLACE WITH: Proposed Lead Section text below

 • REASON FOR CHANGE: To address the article's note "This article's lead section may be too short to adequately summarize the key points. (June 2026)"
 • REFERENCES supporting change: All references are included by the text requiring citations.

Natalie Kwadrans, MBA,[1] CPA[2] (born Natalie Andrès in 1973), is a former Team Canada snowboard racer who competed on the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) World Cup circuit.[3] After retiring from competitive snowboarding, she transitioned into a career as a business strategist for large Canadian[4] and international[5][6] organizations. She was also an Associate Professor.[7]

Following her diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer in 2019,[8] Kwadrans became an advocate for improvements in cancer care,[9][10] healthcare,[11][12] and advancements in cancer research.[13][14][15]
