Annapurna Animation
editWhy do you keep reverting my edit? Blue Sky Studios is not a predecessor of Annapurna Animation. Sure, it may be founded by Blue Sky executives, but Blue Sky Studios' library is still completely separate from Annapurna Animation's library. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1008:B099:A2C7:C0D3:5F32:EDF8:2D8E (talk) 20:50, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
- @2600:1008:B099:A2C7:C0D3:5F32:EDF8:2D8E: You have yet to provide a single reliable source to your claims with the only thing backing them up being original research. Doesn't help you've been using multiple IP addresses as well. SuperSkaterDude45 (talk) 20:55, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
- Annapurna Animation is unrelated to Blue Sky Studios, although Nimona, a film Annapurna and Netflix acquired, was originally in production at Blue Sky. 2600:1008:B099:A2C7:C0D3:5F32:EDF8:2D8E (talk) 21:06, 23 November 2023 (UTC)

Autopatrolled granted
edit
Hi SuperSkaterDude45, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.
Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.
Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Just Step Sideways from this world ..... today 19:23, 12 April 2024 (UTC)

Carlos Urrunaga
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Herbert Schröder.png
edit
A tag has been placed on File:Herbert Schröder.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file from a commercial source (e.g. Associated Press, Getty Images), where the file itself is not the subject of sourced commentary. If you can explain why the file can be used under the non-free content guidelines, please add the appropriate non-free use tag and rationale.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Whpq (talk) 01:54, 22 November 2024 (UTC)

Past tense
editHi SuperSkaterDude45. Thanks for creating Luís Carlos Galter. I saw you wrote quite a few sentences with constructions involving "would".
As far as I know, "would" is used to write about past habits – for example "Galter would play football after school every day". It is also sometimes used to indicate that something happened in the future relative to something else in the past; an example of this could be: "Galter was a promising talent and would soon be contacted by various clubs who wanted to sign him". While I haven't seen anything in the manual of style disallowing these uses, I have come across them very rarely in Wikipedia. MOS:BLPTENSE states that "biographies of deceased persons [should generally be written] in the past tense". Anyway: At Luís Carlos Galter, I have changed constructions with "would" (for example "Galter would play") to simple past tense (for example "Galter played") and I wanted to let you know why.
Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 10:46, 9 March 2025 (UTC)
March 2025
edit
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from Pio (footballer, born 1945) to another page. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution must be given retroactively, for example:
NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at :fr:Exact name of French article; see its history for attribution.
Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit; see Repairing insufficient attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted translated page template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. – DreamRimmer (talk) 10:45, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Mathglot: I have checked a few articles recently created by SuperSkaterDude45, and they all appear to be translations from other projects without proper attribution. SuperSkaterDude45 has created over 700 articles. If you have some time, could you please verify how many of them are translations? If many require fixing, could you please work with SuperSkaterDude45 to compile a set so that we can properly attribute them? – DreamRimmer (talk) 10:56, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
- @DreamRimmer: As of my recent articles, around half of them have been manually created by myself and even some of the translated articles have been largely expanded from their original counterparts such as my article on Pio that you've just cited. I'm also generally confused with what you mean by the lack of proper attribution when I almost always add the template in their respective talk pages if it's just a pure translation or at the very least, largely derived a work from anonother project. SuperSkaterDude45 (discusión) 14:21, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
- If you translate from a page where you are the sole contributor, attribution is not required. However, for other translations, simply using the template is not sufficient to meet Wikimedia's licensing requirements. While the Translated page template is a useful addition, it is strictly optional and does not fulfill Wikipedia's licensing rules as outlined in WP:CWW. These rules require an entry in the edit history with a link. If you provide attribution at the same time as your translation, you can use the suggested wording found at WP:TFOLWP. This requirement is based on section 7c of the Wikimedia Terms of Use. If you forget to add attribution and need to do so later, the recommended wording can be found at WP:RIA. – DreamRimmer (talk) 15:29, 10 March 2025 (UTC)

SuperSkaterDude45 (discusión) 14:21, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hi, SuperSkaterDude45. Yeah, there is, unfortunately, a lot of confusion around proper attribution, including even some well-meaning, but misguided advice being handed out by some experienced editors about use of the translated page template on the Talk page. I think maybe that is what happened with you. Things are somewhat better now than they used to be, but I'm not surprised that you didn't receive clear guidance about this.
- Anyway, not your fault, so nothing to worry about, we just have to go find the older articles and fix them up with retroactive attribution. The fix involves adding a dummy edit to the article with retroactive attribution in the edit summary; details are explained at WP:RIA.
- Formerly, this had to be done manually, and that can be tedious. But now there is now a new procedure that can add retroactive attribution to articles en masse. It requires an input configuration file with three pieces of information for each article 1. a link to the English Wikipedia article; 2. a link to the foreign Wikipedia article; 3. the timestamp of the translation edit at en-wiki. Example:
Eiffel Tower; :fr:Tour Eiffel; 23:59, 32 Octember 2003 (UTC)
- The exact format is given at WP:AttribBot-P#Data lines. I can work with you to create an input file for the procedure. for starters, we need a list of articles you created on English Wikipedia, one per line, that you created as a translation from another Wikipedia or other Wikimedia sister project. Even if there are a lot of them, it can be created by starting from your page history, and then separating them into categories to separate out the ones that need attribution. I've made a start on this for you, but it is incomplete; you can view it at User:SuperSkaterDude45/translation worksheet. There will be more changes to this coming, but for now, section § tokenized targets possible translations, and the other sections contain other page history lines from your created articles that should *not* contain any translations. If they do, let me know. Mathglot (talk) 07:49, 11 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Mathglot: My X Tools page has nearly every page I have created/translated. That being said, some of my articles were translated and created through redirects such Pedro Bustamante and Hu Tao with my actual total number of articles exceeding that of what my page displays. That being said, you can find every non-template article in a compiled list on my home page although if you want the list of templates I've made on the English Wikipedia, please let me know. I have also made six complete translations on the Spanish Wikipedia though I'm assuming similar attribution has to be made there before continuing with my own translations over there as well. I'll help out with instances such as redirects, turned article as well as cases where I accidentally created articles prematurely such as with Pedro José Sevilla that aren't normally listed within my edit descriptions, albeit it'll be rather inconsistent due to being generally rather busy with University since yesterday. SuperSkaterDude45 (discusión) 16:05, 11 March 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks, I will look at your X Tools page, and thanks for the updates to the file. We don't need templates, and the attribution effort for the time being is strictly at English Wikipedia, although that may change. (Yes, the ones at es-wiki have to be attributed also, unless they are translations of en-wiki articles you write entirely yourself. You don't need to stop making new translations there, just be sure to attribute the new ones per the requirement.) With something like Pedro Bustamante, it doesn't matter whether you created the article or expanded one that someone else created, any translation edit needs attribution. In that case, you wrote in your edit summary, Creation of Article, translated from Español wiki , which is halfway there, you just needed the Spanish article name, and a link to it. Don't worr about availability; pay attention to your studies, and good luck! Mathglot (talk) 10:45, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
