Proposed updates to improve accuracy, balance and sourcing

Hello editors,
I have a conflict of interest: I work for ITV, whose Studios business is led by Julian Bellamy. I am therefore not editing the article directly, but would like to suggest some updates for independent review.
The current article gives useful detail on Bellamy’s Channel 4 and BBC roles, but gives comparatively little detail to his later Discovery and ITV Studios roles. This means the article may not fully reflect the balance of his career, particularly his current role leading ITV Studios’ global production and distribution business.
I am proposing the following changes, subject to editor review and reliable sourcing.
1. Lead section
editSuggested replacement lead:
“Julian Bellamy is a British television executive and Managing Director of ITV Studios, ITV’s global production and distribution business.”
Suggested source: https://www.nfts.co.uk/people/julian-bellamy
2. Career section
editSuggested additional wording:
“Bellamy joined ITV Studios in 2014 as Managing Director of ITV Studios UK. In 2016, he was promoted to Managing Director of ITV Studios, taking responsibility for ITV’s global studios business. Before joining ITV, he worked at Discovery Networks International, where he was Creative Director and Head of Commissioning.”
Suggested sources: https://www.theguardian.com/media/2016/jan/18/itv-director-of-television-peter-fincham-to-be-replaced-by-kevin-lygo https://www.nfts.co.uk/people/julian-bellamy https://feature.variety.com/itvstudios/inventive-leadership/
3. “Jeremy Kyle Show controversy” section
editThe standalone controversy section may give disproportionate weight within a relatively short biography. I am not suggesting that the material should be removed, but that it could be integrated into the Career section in a shorter, neutral paragraph.
Suggested replacement wording:
“In June 2019, Bellamy appeared before the House of Commons Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee following the cancellation of The Jeremy Kyle Show after the death of a participant. He appeared alongside other ITV Studios representatives to answer questions about the programme’s production processes and aftercare.”
This would retain the relevant factual information while reducing prominence and improving proportionality within the article.
4. Image
editThe current image appears dated. If editors agree, ITV may be able to help facilitate a more recent image, provided it is released under a Wikimedia Commons-compatible licence. I understand that any image would need to be freely licensed and independently accepted by editors.
Thank you for considering these suggestions.

I am the subject of this article and would like to suggest a small update to the lead paragraph, as the current version appears outdated. In particular, I would like to update the description of my current academic position and add several independent sources that may help address the maintenance tags on the article.
Proposed revised lead paragraph:
Julio Crespo MacLennan (born 17 May 1970 in Madrid) is a Spanish historian and author specialising in modern European history, democracy and international relations. He is a professor of international relations at IE University in Madrid and a former Santander Fellow in Iberian and European Studies at the European Studies Centre, St Antony’s College, University of Oxford.
Possible sources that could support updates to the article include:
- Malvern, Jack (23 April 2016). “Cervantes is forgotten on quixotic anniversary.” The Times.
- Scales, Len (2019). Review of Europa: How Europe Shaped the Modern World. Times Literary Supplement.
- O’Connor, Thomas (2009). Review of Spain and Ireland Through the Ages. Irish Historical Studies.

Updating article after Behind Five Willows publication and NYT No. 1 listing

I have a close personal connection to June Hur, so I am not editing the article directly. I am requesting review from an uninvolved editor.
The article appears outdated after the 2026 publication of Behind Five Willows, including the infobox, which currently lists only The Red Palace as a notable work, and the lead, which does not mention later career developments. Could an editor please consider the following neutral updates? These can be reviewed and implemented separately if preferred.
1. Lead update
Current text:
June Hur (Korean: 허주은; born March 14, 1989) is a Korean-Canadian author who is best known for her historical young adult novels set during Korea's Joseon period.
Suggested replacement:
June Hur (Korean: 허주은; born March 14, 1989) is a Korean-Canadian author of historical young adult fiction. Her novels are often set during Korea's Joseon period and include The Silence of Bones, The Forest of Stolen Girls, The Red Palace, A Crane Among Wolves, and Behind Five Willows.
2. Add bestseller sentence after the existing Edgar Award paragraph
Suggested addition:
Her 2026 novel Behind Five Willows debuted at number one on The New York Times Young Adult Hardcover best-seller list for June 14, 2026.[1] The American Booksellers Association also listed it at number three on its Young Adult Indie Bestseller List for June 3, 2026, based on sales for the week ending May 31, 2026.[2]
3. Add a short Career section before "Personal life"

edit| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
As an employee of NYPA (New York Power Authority), I'm here on the organization's behalf making a request due to my conflict of interest. I've uploaded a new headshot image for Mr. Driscoll to Wikimedia Commons: can this image be added to the infobox to replace the current one? Here's the link: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Headshot_image_of_Justin_Driscoll.png The image that's there right now isn't very high quality, and is a zoomed in crop from a larger group photo. The one I've provided above is a high quality headshot taken by NYPA. Let me know if anything is needed to help with this update! TN NYPA (talk) 15:07, 11 February 2026 (UTC)

Done Thank you for your contribution! –DMartin (talk) 23:49, 11 February 2026 (UTC) - I have also updated Driscoll's image on Wikidata. –DMartin (talk) 23:51, 11 February 2026 (UTC)
Headshot and infobox request
edit| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hello, I'm back again with another request. The headshot that I added to Wikimedia
Commons (and that DMartin added to this article) was briefly removed. I uploaded it again and got a confirmation from someone at Wikimedia that my permission had been added to the file page, which you can find here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Justin_E._Driscoll.jpg Could we again add this image to the article, but this time within an infobox? I put together a draft version of what this could look like:
Proposed infobox | ||||||||||||||||||||

Would something like this work? Please let me know! TN NYPA (talk) 02:31, 10 April 2026 (UTC)
Done Happy to make more additions to the infobox upon request! Discourses on Livvy (talk · contribs) 04:14, 10 April 2026 (UTC)- Thank you for your help here, Discourses on Livvy. I'm about to post another small request. Would be great if you could review that one as well. TN NYPA (talk) 02:48, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
Personal life request
edit![]() | This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. The changes suggested removing content that is well-cited or where sources exist. |
Hello, I have another request that I'm hoping editors watching this page will consider. The Personal life section currently includes details about Mr. Driscoll's family that don't feel particularly relevant or encyclopedic. Could we trim this section back to simply state that "Driscoll grew up near Albany and resides in Rye, New York with his wife"? Thank you for looking into this. TN NYPA (talk) 02:52, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
Not done: It's pretty routine for a "personal life" section to include basic information like this, and it is well-cited. This is not PII, and has already been reported on elsewhere, so I don't think it's necesary to remove it under WP:BLPPRIVACY. –DMartin (talk) 05:42, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
Career Section Request
edit| The user below has a request that an edit be made to Justin Driscoll. That user has an actual or apparent conflict of interest. Summary of request: Request to update Career section The requested edits backlog is very high. Please be extremely patient. There are currently 510 requests waiting for review. Please read the instructions for the parameters used by this template for accepting and declining them, and review the request below and make the edit if it is well sourced, neutral, and follows other Wikipedia guidelines and policies. |
I have a new request, this time about updating the Career section.
I'm hoping that editors would be amenable to lightly restructuring this section to provide a chronological accounting of Mr. Driscoll's career. The current content jumps around in time ("before becoming," "prior to that," etc.) and is thus hard to follow.
There's also one misleading claim near the end of this section that states Mr. Driscoll was "[a]n early opponent to the Build Public Renewables Act." That wording makes it seem like he was ideologically opposed to renewables. The cited source, however, makes it clear that his "opposition" was simply concern about the feasibility of implementation: "Driscoll early on opposed the legislation, saying NYPA wouldn’t be able to develop green energy at a lower cost than private companies. Large state agencies typically operate under layers of regulations, which makes it hard to compete with the private sector."
I put together a draft that presents Mr. Driscoll's career chronologically and adds the identified context about the Build Public Renewables Act. I also added a few new details that have been mentioned in media coverage.
Updated Career section |

|
After receiving his law degree from New York Law School in 1981, Driscoll entered private practice.[3] In 1984, he was admitted to the bar of the Supreme Court of the United States. [4] He then practiced within the civil branch of the Supreme Court for New York and Bronx counties.[5] During his years of private practice, Driscoll represented large companies, governmental entities, and energy providers.[6] From 1995 to 2003, he represented the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York as outside litigation counsel.[3] From 2005 to 2007, he served as senior vice president and general counsel of the New York State Housing Finance Agency and the State of New York Mortgage Agency.[7] From 2008 to 2014, Driscoll was a partner at the lobbying firm Brown & Weinraub,[8][9] where he specialized in "government relations, litigation, and public finance" according to Westchester magazine.[10] In September 2014, Driscoll became executive vice president and general counsel for the New York Power Authority,[7] the largest state public power organization in the United States.[11] His oversight responsibility included the NYPA’s Ethics and Compliance division.[7] Driscoll served in this role for seven years.[12] In November 2021, NYPA president and CEO Gil Quiniones resigned and Driscoll assumed both roles in an interim capacity.[13] In July 2022, New York Governor Kathy Hochul nominated Driscoll to take over both roles permanently.[14][15] Driscoll, a Republican,[12] faced resistance to his confirmation from New York City Democratic Socialists and the Public Power NY coalition,[16] in part due to his perceived resistance to the Build Public Renewables Act.[17][9] The Times Union stated that Driscoll initially opposed the legislation because he was concerned that "NYPA wouldn’t be able to develop green energy at a lower cost than private companies."[18] In August 2023, Driscoll formally assumed the NYPA positions.[19] As president and CEO, Driscoll oversees the NYPA's thousands of circuit-miles of high-voltage transmission and 17 generation facilities.[20] He directs the public benefit corporation's function as a project developer and energy supplier for its state customers.[21] In 2025, City & State noted that Driscoll is "bringing the New York Power Authority back to its nuclear roots" by implementing Governor Hochul's nuclear power directives.[22] In December 2025, the NYPA updated its renewable energy plan and increased its goals for solar, wind, and energy storage.[23][24] Driscoll is also a board member of several energy-related organizations, including the Alliance to Save Energy, the Electric Power Research Institute, and the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.[25] References

I'm hoping that DMartin or another editor can review what I've put together. And thank you for your time, I know this is a volunteer-led site. I'm simply trying to help ensure the information here is accurate and encyclopedic.TN NYPA (talk) 17:52, 12 June 2026 (UTC)

COI edit request: Replace article with neutrality-cleaned version
edit![]() | This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. |
I have a WP:COI with this subject. Per reviewer guidance, I created Draft:Katherine Elkins as a proposed replacement for the current article. The draft was declined from AFC as a "duplicate," but that's expected—it's meant to be a cleaned-up version of *this* article, not a new one.
Changes (strictly subtractive, ~250 words removed):
- Removed unsourced BLP family claim
- Removed gwern.net promotional framing + unsourced "replication" claim
- Removed LinkedIn-sourced link (WP:SPS)
- Removed 90k download stat (WP:NOT#STATS)
- Removed unsourced synthesis paragraph (WP:OR)
- Neutralized 5× peacock phrases (WP:PEACOCK)
- Consolidated duplicate ICML mention
- Removed resume-style opener in Speaking
No new claims, refs, or sections added. Requesting an uninvolved editor review and merge if appropriate. J2000ai (talk) 10:15, 13 April 2026 (UTC)

- I have a COI with the subject of this article (research collaborator/spouse as indicated above).
- I tried to previous remove these substandard edits before but accidently created a duplicate new article (which I have just now requested to be deleted so I can use this way as the more acceptable standard workflow).
- All five EDITS are removals
J2000ai (talk) 20:22, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
- 1. DELETE the entire SECTION "Early Life" as "She is the niece of Henry Elkins" is BLP claim that needs a citation
- 2. DELETE the *sentence "Student and faculty research from the program has been downloaded over 90,000 times from institutions worldwide." from the SECTION "Teaching"
- 3. DELETE the paragraph that starts with "Elkins was among the first scholars..." and ends with "...archived alongside her work" in the SECTION "Research"
- 4. DELETE the paragraph that starts with "Elkins' research addresses..." and ends with "...lost or preserved in each transformation" in the SECTION "Research"
- 5. DELETE the GAIinsights.substack.com citation at the end of the last/only paragraph in SECTION "Teaching" because it duplicates the Forbes citation (e.g. Baier, Paul (2025-12-04). "Where AI Meets The Humanities: Inside Kenyon College's Bold Experiment". GAI Insights - Paul Baier. Retrieved 2025-12-07.) J2000ai (talk) 20:37, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
- CORRECTION to item 1: I worded item 1 too broadly in responding to the critique of the unsourced mention of relationship to Henry Elkins. Only the short sentence on this family relationship should be deleted. The section and sentence on Yale/Berkeley education should remain per best practices. Sorry for the confusion. I have a personal connection to the subject, so I would not be able to edit about him neutrally.
Secola's biography on his website here can be used to cite a number of unsourced claims, including his birth year, birthplace, and education.
Probably not suitable to cite for things like awards he's won, most of which should probably be removed per WP:BLP as they've remained unsourced since I added CN tags in Nov '24, unless whoever reviews this request wants to do a search themselves. ~2026-32855-54 (talk) 17:15, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
