Hello, I have written an article in my sandbox, I would like to publish it to Wikipedia now. How do I go about this --Will O'Haver (talk) 20:44, 20 May 2025 (UTC)

Hello Zippybonzo, as I'm new to Wikipedia, I require your assistance, please. I wish to make a few recommended edits to the profile of Albert Falzon on the following published page; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alby_Falzon, The changes are mainly in Albert's name as described on the current published page, which is "ALBY FALZON' Which should read; Albert 'Albe' Falzon OAM The inclusion of the Post-Nominals of OAM are due to Albert being awarded the Australian Honours award of the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) in the Kings Birthday 2023 Honours Awards, for service to Surfing, and to the Visual Arts. https://www.gg.gov.au/sites/default/files/2023-06/20230612%20-%20Media%20notes%20-%20OAM%20F-L%20-%20The%20King%27s%20Birthday%202023%20Honours%20List.pdf
It is also a commonly made mistake of spelling his nickname ‘Alby’, but Albert spells it and prefers it as ‘Albe’.
Please let me know what I need to do to make these edits, if possible.

Hi Zippybonzo! Thank you for mentoring! I am a student of Utopian Studies new to Wikipedia working on class assignment. Our class wish to add a sentence to this page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaliflower_Commune
The sentence we will want to add: something like "The group continues to publish *Kaliflower* magazine and other print media," with citations to Free Print Shop publications in print. We would format these citations similarly to footnotes 4 and 5 in existing article, but cite range of magazine volume numbers e.g. "Kaliflower (January 1980-April 2023), Vols 5-10."
Does this seem correct?
Again many thanks. --UtopianStudies (talk) 17:08, 24 May 2025 (UTC)

Hi @Zippybonzo, I saw your note on the WP:NPPS page and would like to apply to join NPPS. I have over 2,400 edits, including more than 2,000 in mainspace. My focus has been on article expansion, AfD participation (48 AfDs with a 94.7% match rate excluding no-consensus), and AfC reviewing (35 reviews with around a 30% acceptance rate). I’m here to help build a high-quality, open-access encyclopedia, and I’d like to deepen my understanding of notability and CSD policy so I can contribute more effectively to new page triage. NPPS looks like a great next step. Thanks again for offering your time to help editors grow their skills. HerBauhaus (talk) 06:29, 7 June 2025 (UTC)

A quarterly update from the Growth team on our work to improve the new editor experience.
Mentoring new editors
In February, Mentorship was successfully rolled out to 100% of newcomers on English Wikipedia. Following this milestone, we collaborated with Spanish Wikipedia to expand Mentorship coverage to 70% of new accounts, with plans to reach 85% soon unless concerns are raised by mentors. (T394867)
Some links types were removed to align with recommendations written in the English Wikipedia Manual of Style (T390683)
Allowing communities to limit “Add a Link” to newcomers (T393771)
The model used to suggest the links was improved to ease its training (T388258)
English Wikipedia rollout and A/B test: We increased the rollout to 20% of newcomers, with analysis underway. Preliminary data suggests this feature makes new account holders more likely to complete an unreverted edit. (T386029, T382603)
Surfacing Structured Tasks: An experiment where we show “add a link” suggestions to newly registered users while they are reading an article is running on pilot wikis (French, Persian, Indonesian, Portuguese, Egyptian Arabic). Initial results are under analysis. (T386029)
Newcomer Engagement Features
“Get Started” notification: Engineering is in progress for a new notification (Echo/email) to encourage editing among newcomers with zero edits. Early research shows this type of nudge is effective. (T392256)
Confirmation email: We are exploring ways to simplify and improve the initial account confirmation email newly registered users receive. (T215665)
The Wikimedia Foundation’s 2025–2026 Annual Plan is taking shape. The Growth and Editing teams will focus on the Contributor Experiences (WE1) objective, with a focus on increasing constructive edits by editors with fewer than 100 cumulative contributions.
Get Involved
We value your insights and ideas! If you would like to participate in a discussion, share feedback, or pilot new features, please reach out on the relevant Phabricator tasks or at our talk page, in any language.

Hello! I have made an edit right before creating my account (with the same IP address) (to the article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nutuk). I couldn't find relevant information on the internet... is it possible to "claim" it to my account, or is it not possible?

Administrators' newsletter – July 2025
Latest comment: 11 months ago1 comment1 person in discussion
Administrator elections will take place this month. Administrator elections are an alternative to RFA that is a gentler process for candidates due to secret voting and multiple people running together. The call for candidates is July 9–15, the discussion phase is July 18–22, and the voting phase is July 23–29. Get ready to submit your candidacy, or (with their consent) to nominate a talented candidate!
The administrator elections process has officially started! Interested editors are encouraged to self-nominate or arrange to be nominated by reviewing the instructions at Wikipedia:Administrator elections/July 2025/Candidates.
Here is the schedule:
July 9–15 - Call for candidates
July 18–22 - Discussion phase
July 23–29 - SecurePoll voting phase
Please note the following:
The requirements to run are identical to RFA—a prospective candidate must be extended confirmed.
The process will have a seven day call for candidates phase, a two day pause, a five day discussion phase, and a seven day private vote using SecurePoll. Discussion and questions are only allowed on the candidate pages during the discussion phase.
The outcome of this process is identical to making a request for adminship. There is no official difference between an administrator appointed through RFA versus administrator elections.
Ask any questions about the process at the talk page. A separate user talk message will be sent to official candidates with additional information about the process.
If you are interested in the process, please make sure to watchlist the appropriate pages. A watchlist notice will be added when the discussion phase opens, and again when the voting phase opens.

So, I found novels and things like that, awesomely my thing, I have been looking into all places for the longest known book to the world as of late, and have been wanting to add all that I have found from my notes to the world in publishing them. --Ash Loren (talk) 21:36, 18 July 2025 (UTC)
In the voting phase, the candidate subpages will close to public questions and discussion, and everyone who qualifies to vote will have a week to use the SecurePoll software to vote, which uses a secret ballot. You can see who voted, but not who they voted for. Please note that the vote totals cannot be made public until after voting has ended and as such, it will not be possible for you to see an individual candidate's vote total during the election. The suffrage requirements are similar to those at RFA.
Once voting concludes, we will begin the scrutineering phase, which will last for approximately four days, perhaps longer. Once everything is certified, the results will be posted on the results page (this is a good page to watchlist), and transcluded to the main election page. In order to be granted adminship, a candidate must have received at least 70.0% support, calculated as Support / (Support + Oppose), and a minimum of 20 support votes. Because this is a vote and not a consensus, there are no bureaucrat discussions ("crat chats").
Any questions or issues can be asked on the election talk page. Thank you for your participation. Happy electing.

hello,

@Haackemark, I highly suggest that you read WP:Your first article. There are many things to be done before publication, including properly declaring your conflict of interest and submitting your draft for review. You should not yet "change the name "Sample page" and replace it with Biography of Dr. Haacke" (unless you mean just within your userspace). GoldRomean (talk) 02:40, 24 July 2025 (UTC)
On July 23, we will start the voting phase. The candidate subpages will close again to public questions and discussion, and everyone will have a week to use the SecurePoll software to vote, which uses a secret ballot. You can see who voted, but not who they voted for. Please note that the vote totals cannot be made public until after voting has ended and as such, it will not be possible for you to see an individual candidate's totals during the election. You must be extended confirmed to vote.

Hello Mentor! We are working on a draft article ahead of our publication representing New Zealand at the Frankfurt Book Fair. We have verified all sources, kept all language within citation boundaries and factual (to third party sources) yet we are continually being declined our submission. The reasons being given are more specific enough to understand. They have taken exception to our use of AI to help us code the citations. However all citations are third party verified and the copy is clean and human edited. Are you able to help us?

Hello everyone, and welcome to the 27th issue of the Wikipedia Scripts++ Newsletter, covering all our favorite new and updated user scripts since 2025! Boy, does it feel good to kick off the year with an issue. Yep, it's been a year since we cleared out the 2022-2024 backlog with issues 23 and 24! Good times. Though in this case "a year" just means... 6 months? 😯 The salience of whatever joke I was planning to make here has vanished speedily. Aaron Liu (talk) 21:00, 31 July 2025 (UTC)
Got anything good? Tell us about your new, improved, old, or messed-up script here!
Featured script
WikiTextExpander by Polygnotus, is this edition's featured script. At the click of a configurable hotkey, this script will find and replace or link a configurable list of phrases within the selected text in all source editors (even in the comment/reply field!). Besides allowing the quick insertion of templated messages, this script greatly mitigates the WP:WTF? problem by providing both the legibility of familiar words and the convenience of shortcuts. And to those asking, the capitalization of "Wikitext" as "WikiText" was a necessary sacrifice for far-more-memorable acronymy.
Updated scripts
CanonNi: AlertAssistant has been fixed and rewritten using OOUI instead of Twinkle's Morebits. Such modern, very tool. (Do note that the maintainer has since become inactive.)
NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh/AjaxLoader has been updated to use modern JS APIs that replace the browser's URL bar with the link you clicked on to load in place. The "back" (and "forward") buttons also work now. Cool, innit?
andrybak: Unsigned helper no longer shows an error when the message to sign was added in the earliest 50 revisions of a page's history. This is especially relevant to pages with short histories.
BilledMammal/Move+ needs updating to order list of pages handle lists of pages to move correctly regardless of the discussion's page, so that we may avoid repeating fiasco history.
Requested scripts
We need scripts that...
allow sorting lists of citations such as by URI or other identifier
automatically convert the capitalization of citations' titles
collect a list of discussion participants and generate a ping list
In breaking m:Tech/News, Gadgets can now include .vue files. This makes it easier to develop modern user interfaces using Vue.js, in particular using Codex, the official design system of Wikimedia. Codex icons are now also available. The documentation has examples.
New scripts
Appo/Globstory integrates OpenHistoryMap, updating the map whenever hovering/clicking on a location or year, the latter of which changes the map to be (hopefully) accurate to the year selected. It's pretty interesting.
linkinfo Somewhat similar to WP:NavPops, Awesome Aasim/linkinfo(pictured) provides a collection of links to replace the right-click context menu, presented beautifully.
PreviousDiscussions provides a link to search for your username on subpages of another user's userpage and talkpage conveniently.
Twineeea/noRedLinks brings you to the "read" instead of the "create" tab when you visit a red link. Contemplate life's mysteries as you stare into the blank! Deeply.
No, this is not going to be the enduring tradition of S++ for the future. This was meant to be a joke for the special occasion on the first day of the fourth month but was delayed by four months because I'm lazy.

Hi Zippybonzo! Just following up with you from this discussion over on DR's talk page. I wanted to let you know I have been accepted as a probationary AfC reviewer. I have also started doing closures at AfD. There was a discussion recently on my first ever closure. Basically, I closed an AfD as keep, and the OP responded on my talk page asking me to withdraw the closure and instead relist it. I opted not to due to the sources provided by the keep !votes seemingly proving that the company had WP:SIGCOV. Owen, an administrator who does many closures over at AfD then gave his opinion. The resolution was to change the keep closure to a NC closure instead, which I was happy to do. That discussion has shown me I do still have much experience and knowledge to gain regarding notability along with the more obscure policies around areas of WP that I have been partaking in over the last few months, such as AfC, AfD, NPPs and even just writing and researching articles.
To conclude, I feel that enrolling in NPP/S will provide me with another opportunity to solidify my knowledge in this particular area of Wikipedia. If you have availably during August or September, I would be interested in enrolling. I would prefer to take my time with the school however, as I feel that rushing through it would not be beneficial.
@11wallisb Good to hear back from you. I would advise against closing AfDs when unexperienced. I have been there before and although I don't recall any issues coming out of it, I wouldn't choose to do it again without spending more time voting in AfDs. My suggestion for you is to spend some time voting in AfDs to gain some experience in how AfD works before closing them in future. In general while non-admin closures can and often are a good thing, you should have experience in the area before jumping into it. It's great to hear that you've been accepted into AfC, and I'd advise you keep working there, it's similar to NPP but slightly lower stakes if you do make a mistake.
Anyway — if you want to enroll in NPPS now, I'd be happy to setup your page today, I agree rushing it isn't a great idea, but I'd be happy to take it at your pace, I've got plenty of time and it would be better to have a new patroller who fully understands how everything works than somebody who's sped their way through the course.
Thanks for your response! I definitely didn't start closing without participating and !voting beforehand, I have been partaking in AfD discussions since the end of May. It has been a very enlightening experience so far! I am happy to start NPP/S whenever, and I will fit it in with what I do on Wikipedia currently! 11WB (talk) 14:22, 4 August 2025 (UTC)
@11wallisb doesn't really matter, you're welcome to and it makes inline replies using discussiontools slightly easier, but I can read it either way because I know that you'll be the only one editing the page lol Zippybonzo|talk|contribs (they/them) 17:50, 4 August 2025 (UTC)
@Zippybonzo, I have completed the first section to the best of my knowledge and ability. I have read the linked guideline pages for each section and found they have some very helpful information! 11WB (talk) 20:22, 4 August 2025 (UTC)
Hi Zippybonzo! I just wanted to give my thanks again for enrolling me into NPP/S. I also want to apologise as I feel I've been a bit slow with working through the sections. I'll aim to work through them a bit more quickly! I have tried to provide real examples to as many bullet points as I can as I feel this will allow me to demonstrate my understanding a lot better! Thanks! 11WB (talk) 23:10, 8 August 2025 (UTC)
@ContributeInfo what do you mean by this? Your draft has already been reviewed, however I strongly strongly advise against using AI or another LLM to write an article, because there's a very low chance of it being accepted. Zippybonzo|talk|contribs (they/them) 14:20, 4 August 2025 (UTC)
Following a request for comment, there is a new policy outlining the granting of permissions to view the IP addresses of temporary accounts. Temporary account deployment on the English Wikipedia is currently scheduled for September 2025, and editors can request access to the permission ahead of time. Admins are encouraged to keep an eye on the request page; there will likely be a flood of editors requesting the permission when they realize they can no longer see IP addresses.
South Asia (WP:CT/SA) is designated a contentious topic. The topic area is specifically defined as All pages related to the region of South Asia (India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal), broadly construed, including but not limited to history, politics, ethnicity, and social groups.

Hey there, hope you are doing good, it is stated that I want to add other photograph on the article of the writer Saadat Hasan Manto, because the existing one is un-flattering and does not depict his true features. The photograph I want to add is in this website If not then this one .
So, my question is what is the status of these photographs, are they copyrighted, are they allowed to add? Which photograph is more suitable to replace the existing one? I've read we have to add it on wikipedia, then on the infobox, so guide me which one to add. I'll be grateful. Regards, Rafay12098 (talk) 11:23, 8 August 2025 (UTC)

Hello ZippyBonzo —
Thank you.
I’d like to create a Wikipedia page about ann academic and leader in the cultural field. Due to a conflict of interest, I do not want to edit it myself on Wikipedia. Of course, I am glad to edit other people’s pages, etc. If necessary, I have a document with recourse data. Or, here are websites https://skd.academia.edu/DoreenMende and https://monoskop.org/Doreen_Mende
Thank you! I did upload / edit / create the entry draft. But from my sanbox and I could not change the title of the specific sandbox. I've submitted it to review. Not sure whether this will work, though? I spend quite some time with it .... SunRaEast (talk) 15:34, 14 August 2025 (UTC)
Thank you! The draft has been declined by @destinyokhiria straight away. What do you suggest? Shall I take out the essay session? Because that reads a bit like a CV. Or is it a language / geolocation issue? Thank you! SunRaEast (talk) 17:04, 14 August 2025 (UTC)

I'd love to help the community and keep Wikipedia a truthful place to be (if that makes sense), but I have no idea how to go about stopping pesky vandals. So, I'd like to ask if you'd mentor/train me in the CVUA. I am on GMT too, (I live in England) so I hope our free time coincides nicely. Thanks very much, CoroneC0rnix-64 (talk) 12:26, 15 August 2025 (UTC)
Hiya @CoroneC0rnix-64, sorry for the late response — I'm happy to set that up for you next monday (25th), I'm a little busy until then however after that I should be fine to run the CVUA for you. Zippybonzo|talk|contribs (they/them) 13:19, 17 August 2025 (UTC)

Why would someone revert an article that describes the white horse taverns history, with many citations, to a trivial paragraph? I spent a lot of time gathering references and highlighting the history of the white horse tavern, only to have someone else reduce it to almost nothing. --Wpl00 (talk) 02:00, 18 August 2025 (UTC)

Hello, I am trying to write an article on my school, and I believe I have sufficient, reliable, secondary, independent sources but they keep getting rejected, I've compared them to the Wikipedia page for the district and I still can't tell why they are getting deleted. Citations on my article are below.
"Orcutt Academy High School". oahs.orcuttschools.net. Orcutt Academy High School. Retrieved 28 August 2025.
"How Does Orcutt Academy Charter Rank Among America's Best High Schools?". www.usnews.com. US News. US News. Retrieved 28 August 2025.
"Orcutt Academy Charter - School Directory Details (CA Dept of Education)". www.cde.ca.gov. California Department of Education. Retrieved 28 August 2025.
Hiya @TSOWICK — if I'm completely honest, the article isn't that encyclopedic, I'd review WP:MOS regarding how to style articles. With regards to your sources, the school itself is not "independent", and the rest are merely brief reports on it that do not show "in-depth" coverage of it nor why is it notable. See WP:N for some extra details on how notability is established. Zippybonzo|talk|contribs (they/them) 17:40, 29 August 2025 (UTC)
NPP backlog drive and request for temporary rights
Latest comment: 9 months ago1 comment1 person in discussion
Hi @Zippybonzo! I became aware of the upcoming NPP backlog drive today and decided to apply for temporary New Page Reviewer. I've disclosed discussions relevant to mistakes I've made this month, as I was advised that transparency is good. I've made sure to mention that I am a probationary AfC reviewer and that I am enrolled at NPP/S currently.
I am letting you know this as you're still my instructor, however I am absolutely not looking for an endorsement or anything from you as that would violate WP: CANVASSING.
I don't think my chances of being accepted this early are very high, despite the drive. I originally had the outlook of only applying for NPP once I had completed the school and had AfCH granted on a permanent basis + another month to make sure I was absolutely ready. That would've been at the end of this year or start of next year at the earliest. I really appreciate you taking me on at NPP/S and want to let you know it's been very helpful to establish links between the bullet points and the situations I've been involved in this month. I consider NPP/S to be like the theory aspect of an exam and AfC/AfD the practical! 11WB (talk) 22:40, 29 August 2025 (UTC)
WikiCup 2025 September newsletter
Latest comment: 9 months ago1 comment1 person in discussion
The fourth round of the 2025 WikiCup ended on 29 August. The penultimate round saw three contestants score more than 800 points:
BeanieFan11(submissions) with 1,175 round points, mainly from sports-related articles, including 17 good articles, 27 did you know articles, and 9 in the news articles
AirshipJungleman29(submissions) with 854 round points, mostly from a high-scoring featured article on the Indian leader Rani of Jhansi and two good articles, in addition to 13 featured and good article reviews
Everyone who competed in Round 4 will advance to Round 5 unless they have withdrawn. This table shows all competitors who have received tournament points so far, while the full scores for Round 4 can be seen here. During this round, contestants have claimed 9 featured articles, 12 featured lists, 98 good articles, 9 good topic articles, more than 150 reviews, nearly 100 did you know articles, and 18 in the news articles.
In advance of the fifth and final round, the judges would like to thank every contestant for their hard work. As a reminder, any content promoted after 29 August but before the start of Round 5 can be claimed in Round 5. In addition, note that Round 5 will end on 31 October at 23:59 UTC. Awards at the end of Round 5 will be distributed based on who has the most tournament points over all five rounds, and special awards will be distributed based on high performance in particular areas of content creation (e.g., most featured articles in a single round).
Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, feel free to review one of the nominations listed on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed. Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges – Cwmhiraeth(talk·contribs), Epicgenius(talk·contribs), Frostly(talk·contribs), Guerillero(talk·contribs) and LeeVilenski(talk·contribs) – are reachable on their talk pages. Good luck!

Hello! I went to the page for Joel Hurt, and in the section with parents, spouse, etc. I added his grandchild, Mary Lou Hurt. However, after looking at the page again after editing it, it didn't do anything. This is my first time doing anything like this, so I'm open to any advice. I only added this because I'm actually related to Joel Hurt through Mary Lou Hurt, so it feels important to me.

An RfC is in progress to amend the structure, rules, and procedures of the Arbitration Committee election and resolve any issues not covered by existing rules.

It's a small town in the Inland Empire in CA. But it lacks a link or anything referencing the recent famous portrayal of it by SNL. Saturday Night Live has done a skit for years about "Lisa from Temecula"
Hi SportBud77, I'm Tiggerjay -- you are looking to add information to the article Temecula, California. First start off by by reading this: MOS:CULTURALREFS which is part of the manual of style that covers such trivia, and after reading that, see if you believe this would still qualify. Feel free to reply here afterwards, and if you could include one or two specific links to reliable source websites to support what you're thinking of adding, I'm sure either Zippy or I will get back to you with further assistance. (talk page stalker) Hiya, @AquaGon1019! Barnstars are generally awarded by other editors for doing great work, so please don't request anyone to give you one. (Although I feel the need to plug the WP:Guild of Copy Editors, which is having a backlog drive this month and you can get shiny things for participating;)!) You can find a large amount of userboxes to add to your page at the WP:Userbox gallery. Cheers, GoldRomean (talk) 20:54, 12 September 2025 (UTC)

Hello Zippybonzo, My name is GuesanLoyalist and I came here to your page to ask some good tips for creating a new article? I am already writing my stuff in my user sandbox so that's one thing done but what about the other tips and recommendations though?
(Related to my reason for coming here but my mentor MolecularPilot is currently away and Wikipedia recommended me to come to you as a replacement mentor).
Hiya @GuesanLoyalist — what specifically would you like tips on, there's a lot to creating new articles but I think it'd be easier if you give me some specifics you need help with rather than me bombard you with knowledge about article creation lol Zippybonzo|talk|contribs (they/them) 11:47, 14 September 2025 (UTC)
I would like both:
-General advice for making a new page (like the said advices can be applied for any pages, regardless of topic)
@GuesanLoyalist, generally you should comply with the manual of style, and when deciding what to write about, I advise you to review that the subject meets WP:GNG, and then, ensure any claims that could reasonably be challenged are cited by a reliable source, more details on that can be found at WP:V. When it comes to creating that specific article, I advise you to make a draft, and then I'll happily take a look for you and give you some feedback on it:) Zippybonzo|talk|contribs (they/them) 19:15, 16 September 2025 (UTC)

Hello Zippybonzo,
Thank you for the warm welcome. I’ve been working on a draft :Dr. Muhammad Abrar and I would really appreciate your advice. I’ve added independent sources that cite my work (including academic articles, a policy paper, and research reports) as well as some media coverage.
Could you please let me know if the draft now looks strong enough to meet Wikipedia’s notability and sourcing standards for a biography of a living person? If not, I’d be grateful if you could suggest what still needs to be improved before I submit.
Thank you for the interest in editing, however, I strongly advise against writing a autobiography, due to issues with neutrality. In addition, what I've read in your draft looks like a resumé to me, which is also not ideal.

Hello,
I wanted to get started with something simple and that I know well, that being the relatively small town I live in which has a page on Wikipedia already.
Is it acceptable to add details about what may be in a public park, provided that I also cite county websites? My care for the accuracy of this is twofold: one Wikipedia rules and want to honor its ethos, and two I will be graded on this by a professor so it's in my best interest to be accurate!
I'd also like to know about how to add pictures, being that I live here and can take pictures of certain landmarks mentioned in the page.
Generally, you can add details, although ideally if what you're adding could be reasonably challenged by somebody, it should be cited with a reliable source per the verifiability policy]]. To add pictures, you need to be autoconfirmed, and then you can use Special:Upload to upload the file, and then to add it to a page use [[File:filename.extension]].

Hi, first-time wikipedia editor started this week, initially i've only done filmography edits/contributions to voice artists, actors and animators associated with Disney. I normally use D23 as a source but also imdb however the imdb edits normally get reverted.
I get that imdb is user generated but technically so is wikipedia. And normally after fact checking it proves that imdb credits listed are accurate. Is there a way I can use imdb as a verifiable source / how do i know what is and isn't a good source to cite? --JensenJackInABox (talk) 10:00, 20 September 2025 (UTC)

Question from ASSC1956! (06:47, 23 September 2025)
Latest comment: 8 months ago2 comments2 people in discussion
Hello Zippybonzo, I'm a novice at Wikipedia and certainly not tech savvy, however I'm up to leaning and happy for any advice. I created my account because I wanted to add a basketball team with information under category 'Sports clubs and team established in 1956' - subcategories 'Basketball teams established in 1956 (22P)' but I don't think I did very well and may have not understood how to load the basketball teams' name in the pages list. In fact, I think I may have loaded then incorrectly deleted it, instead of adding team name. There is so much to read about 'adding', 'editing' and 'deleting' items etc. its really very confusing to me now. But with some guidance I'll do my best.
So, in the pages category "Sports clubs and teams established in 1956" I would like to list a team 'Alabarda Sport Club (Sth Australia, basketball).

Question re: tracking users with history of LLM misuse
Latest comment: 8 months ago3 comments2 people in discussion
Hi there, I found you listed at WP:CVUA and you look active so figured I'd ask my question here! This isn't about counter-vandalism per se, but I have been working a lot with WP:AICLEAN to identify and clean up cases of larger scale LLM misuse. In the course of doing so I've identified a handful of editors who have been warned but need to be monitored for further misuse of these tools. I'd like to create a page in my userspace with a list of those usernames so I don't have to memorize them. Is that acceptable? I wouldn't store any diffs, just the usernames. Educational Topics 10 with their objectives and links
Here are 10 educational topics along with suggested learning objectives for each, and links to further reading or resources. You can adapt the objectives to your grade level and context.
1. Climate Change and Sustainability
Possible Objectives:
Students will be able to explain the greenhouse effect and how human activities contribute to climate change.
Students will analyze data on global temperature trends and carbon emissions.
Students will propose practical strategies for reducing carbon footprint at the individual, community, or national level.
Students will evaluate the trade-offs and challenges of different sustainability policies.
As a novice this is a little confusing. I am trying to put together a page for a friend who is a well known international photographer. I did begin in the sand box, forgot to ‘publish’ so the information went as i looked at the messages on here, first mistake :) I previewed it but it looked nothing like other pages. Is there no template of sorts to follow / help? Helperinchief (talk) 19:17, 29 September 2025 (UTC)
Hi! Since you are friends with this person you have a conflict of interest; this should be disclosed (see WP:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide). Since this is just your sandbox, don't worry if the preview looks messed up! Feel free to just hit publish anyway. It would make it easier for me to troubleshoot as well :D. Re. a template, no, not really that I'm aware of. Help:Your first article comes close though. Feel free to just begin writing and I can help with formatting/troubleshooting. Please also make yourself familiar with our notability guideline (golden rule) before you start. Cheers, GoldRomean (talk) 19:24, 29 September 2025 (UTC)
Hello, Yes I guess there is a conflict of interest of sorts but everything is verifiable as he is well known in the industry. Re templates, Can I go to the Edit source of a page that is similar, from there copy, paste and edit to get me started? Most pages seem to have a very similar layout. thank you again. Helperinchief (talk) 19:39, 29 September 2025 (UTC)
