The Signpost: 10 March 2026

  • Special report: What actually happened during the Wikimedia security incident?
A horrifying exploit took place, which could have had catastrophic and far-reaching consequences if used maliciously; instead, it seems to have happened by accident and was used for childish vandalism. How did this happen, and what did the script actually do?

Concerns regarding notability and orphan status of Peachy Keenan

I noticed this article has remained an orphan stub since its creation and currently lacks the depth of independent, secondary sourcing required by WP:GNG or WP:AUTHOR. While the subject has a 2023 book release, the coverage appears to be largely routine or from partisan outlets. Before I take this to AfD, are there any major mainstream profiles or critical reviews (New York Times, Atlantic, etc.) that could be added to justify keeping this? Otherwise, it feels like it doesn't meet the bar for the mainspace. Mergle (talk) 23:49, 19 March 2026 (UTC)

I think the four sources listed in the article that aren't book reviews from conservative publications establish that she is a prominent member of the "right-wing natalist" movement. This Washington Post article does some analysis: . I make a lot of biographic articles and have a solid understanding of notability. The Post article and the other three plus the book reviews demonstrate notability to me. It just needs to be expanded beyond the stub that it is, but I don't really have an interest in this subject matter right now. Thriley (talk) 03:28, 20 March 2026 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Peachy Keenan

Notice

The article Peachy Keenan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Subject is a non-notable cultural commentator. Fails WP:GNG and WP:AUTHOR as sources are primarily routine book mentions or partisan interviews. Article is an orphan with zero biographical depth.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion based on established criteria.

If the proposed deletion has already been carried out, you may request undeletion of the article at any time.

This is an automated notification. Please refer to the page's history for further information. DatBot (talk) 00:32, 20 March 2026 (UTC)

Alessandro Cortese de Bosis

Thanks for your contributions to Alessandro Cortese de Bosis. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and these sources should be compatible with the requirements of WP:GNG and WP:SIGCOV(national level, secondary, reliable). I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while. Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Boynamedsue (talk) 17:55, 20 March 2026 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Michael Forsythe

Notice

The article Michael Forsythe has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not meet WP:BIO and found little reliable secondary sources showing notability of the person.

Squirist (talk) 18:22, 27 March 2026 (UTC)

I deprodded the article. A google search quickly finds enough book reviews for his two books to meet WP:NAUTHOR, even without going to the WP:Library. One of his books already had an article linking to reviews for that book. Even if he wasn't personally notable, the article wouldn't be appropriate for deletion, but for redirection to the book article. However, he has a second book as well with multiple reviews. Jahaza (talk) 19:26, 27 March 2026 (UTC)
Thank you so much for your expansion. Surprised his notability was questioned. I'm noticing many editors are having trouble discerning notability these days. Thriley (talk) 18:06, 28 March 2026 (UTC)
