  • Special report: What actually happened during the Wikimedia security incident?
A horrifying exploit took place, which could have had catastrophic and far-reaching consequences if used maliciously; instead, it seems to have happened by accident and was used for childish vandalism. How did this happen, and what did the script actually do?

Concerns regarding notability and orphan status of Peachy Keenan

edit

I noticed this article has remained an orphan stub since its creation and currently lacks the depth of independent, secondary sourcing required by WP:GNG or WP:AUTHOR. While the subject has a 2023 book release, the coverage appears to be largely routine or from partisan outlets. Before I take this to AfD, are there any major mainstream profiles or critical reviews (New York Times, Atlantic, etc.) that could be added to justify keeping this? Otherwise, it feels like it doesn't meet the bar for the mainspace. Mergle (talk) 23:49, 19 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

I think the four sources listed in the article that aren't book reviews from conservative publications establish that she is a prominent member of the "right-wing natalist" movement. This Washington Post article does some analysis: . I make a lot of biographic articles and have a solid understanding of notability. The Post article and the other three plus the book reviews demonstrate notability to me. It just needs to be expanded beyond the stub that it is, but I don't really have an interest in this subject matter right now. Thriley (talk) 03:28, 20 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Peachy Keenan

edit
Notice

The article Peachy Keenan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Subject is a non-notable cultural commentator. Fails WP:GNG and WP:AUTHOR as sources are primarily routine book mentions or partisan interviews. Article is an orphan with zero biographical depth.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion based on established criteria.

If the proposed deletion has already been carried out, you may request undeletion of the article at any time.

This is an automated notification. Please refer to the page's history for further information. DatBot (talk) 00:32, 20 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Alessandro Cortese de Bosis

edit

Thanks for your contributions to Alessandro Cortese de Bosis. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and these sources should be compatible with the requirements of WP:GNG and WP:SIGCOV(national level, secondary, reliable). I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while. Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Boynamedsue (talk) 17:55, 20 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Does not meet WP:BIO and found little reliable secondary sources showing notability of the person.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

I deprodded the article. A google search quickly finds enough book reviews for his two books to meet WP:NAUTHOR, even without going to the WP:Library. One of his books already had an article linking to reviews for that book. Even if he wasn't personally notable, the article wouldn't be appropriate for deletion, but for redirection to the book article. However, he has a second book as well with multiple reviews. I'll add more material. I think it passes based on the media, including the documentary film that featured the center's work. Thriley (talk) 01:29, 1 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

This documentary Can't Look Away: The Case Against Social Media. Thriley (talk) 01:35, 1 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
While I think Bergman meets notability, I thought the center does as well based on the coverage. Better to have an article about the center which includes Bergman's work plus others. Thriley (talk) 01:37, 1 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
I disagree that the firm is notable based on the current sourcing. There aren't any WP:SIRS. A documentary featuring the firm is definitionally not independent of the firm. voorts (talk/contributions) 01:38, 1 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
I've made many articles but I don't think I've written one about a law firm. The Center's role in K.G.M. v. Meta et al. suggests to me that it is notable. I could easily shift the citations to an article about Bergman, but that feels like I'm ignoring the actual major entity here. Thriley (talk) 01:45, 1 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Law firms are businesses. That means they need to meet WP:NCORP. This firm's role in K.G.M. isn't relevant to its notability. voorts (talk/contributions) 01:47, 1 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Please feel free to move it to draft and I'll expand there. Thriley (talk) 01:47, 1 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

As President Coolidge said, "Vermont is a state I love" Thriley (talk) 23:32, 6 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
One of my interests is tracing the back-to-the-land movement of the late 1960s, early 1970s, and the rise of Vermont counterculture and politics. I think we have a lot about this scattered in different articles, but no central article that covers it in one go. Viriditas (talk) 00:22, 7 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
This reminded me of the draft for Horn of the Moon Cafe, an important place in the Vermont food scene years ago. Perhaps it is of interest. You'd do a far better job than the sad stub I'd likely create! Thriley (talk) 05:30, 19 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

DYK for Ben Kilham

edit

On 7 May 2026, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Ben Kilham, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Ben Kilham, a pioneering rehabilitator of American black bears, would get on his hands and knees to teach orphaned cubs what foods to eat? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Ben Kilham. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Ben Kilham), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to nominate it.

The reviewer, MidnightMayhem, left the following feedback:
This draft's references do not show that the subject meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion for sports. The draft requires either:

  • provide significant coverage: discuss the subject in detail, not just brief mentions or routine announcements;
  • are reliable: from reputable outlets with editorial oversight;
  • are independent: not connected to the subject, such as interviews, press releases, the subject's own website, or sponsored content.
Please add references that meet these criteria. If none exist, the subject is not yet suitable for Wikipedia.
Two sentences is not enough for an article. Needs further expansion.

DYK for Nathan Farb

edit

On 19 May 2026, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Nathan Farb, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Nathan Farb carried his large-format 8×10 Deardorff view camera into the backcountry of the Adirondack Mountains to capture scenery far from the most-visited areas? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Nathan Farb. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Nathan Farb), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to nominate it.

  • Thank you for including me in the nom, but this was an article that you created and that you brought to DYK caliber. As soon as I saw his obituary in The New York Times I knew that this had potential to be a great article (and DYK). Thanks for being the one to do it. Congratulations!
