Editor of the Week
| Editor of the Week | ||
| Your ongoing efforts to improve the encyclopedia have not gone unnoticed: You have been selected as Editor of the Week in recognition of your great contributions! (courtesy of the Wikipedia Editor Retention Project) |
Users Tarlby and GoldRomean submitted the following nomination for Editor of the Week:
- Reverosie is a polite, enthusiastic, and determined editor interested in astronomy and, especially, medieval history. Within two days of joining Wikipedia, she created these two excellent quality articles, Godehilde of Tosny and SNR 0519-69.0. Just a week later, she began reviewing GA's and has now conducted 14 GA reviews in medieval history and also successfully brought
Baldwin IV of Jerusalem and
Sibylla, Queen of Jerusalem to GA status, with a current active nomination for Guy of Lusignan (at the time of writing), which are all pretty huge articles. Though Reverosie is still relatively new here (she only gained her first 1,000+ edits in a month), a quick look at her responses to the four barnstars gifted to her is clear evidence of her politeness and enthusiasm. There's no doubt that Reverosie is a clear net positive to the community, and I'm sure that she'll continue to be one in the years to come. This nomination was seconded by AirshipJungleman29, Vacant0, Yelps, Surtsicna and Vanderwaalforces.

- Congrats Reverosie for the EOTW!!! I knew she would be a perfect candidate seeing as she reviewed so many GAs within a few months, but I didn't expect the award to go out this month!! I hope you get an FA soon (by 2026), seeing as I have plans to get Animal Crossing: New Horizons to that level! JuniperChill (talk) 19:14, 16 August 2025 (UTC)
- I don't have words to express how thankful I am for such a massive honor. From the moment I joined Wikipedia, I knew that I wanted to make an impact, but I never could have guessed just how greatly this community would impact me.
- I can hardly comprehend how I've gone from drafting the articles I wanted to create on a measly google document to seeing them mentioned in my very own Eddybox. How a Wikiproject I drafted in my notes app on the highway ended up with so much support from so many amazing people. How this website as a whole has had such a positive impact on my life.
- I've met so many incredible people here, and I wouldn't have been able to make it this far without them. I'd like to thank a few of them now.
- @GoldRomean and @Tarlby: Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for nominating me to receive this award. The two of you have been nothing but incredible to me, and you've always been there to help me when I needed it. I'll never forget your kindness, and I'll always be grateful for all that you've done. From Tarlby awarding me my very first barnstar to GoldRomean immediately opening a GA review when I was searching for a reviewer, your thoughtfulness is enough to move mountains, and I'll never be able to thank you enough.
- @AirshipJungleman29, @Vacant0, @Yelps, @Surtsicna, and @Vanderwaalforces: Thank you, truly, for seconding my nomination. I know some of you better than others, but all of you chose to support me regardless of how well you knew me. Seeing such overwhelming support come from so many different editors is a truly sobering experience, and I'm forever appreciative of your thoughtfulness.
- @JuniperChill and @Gerda Arendt: Thank you so much for the kind messages you've left for me regarding my selection, and thank you for all of the kind messages you've left for me on my talk page. I've greatly enjoyed our conversations thus far, and I'm eagerly anticipating many more to come.
- And, of course, @Buster7: Thank you so much for doing this. Thank you for operating such an incredible WikiProject, thank you for making hundreds of people feel so incredibly appreciated, and thank you for giving me such an incredible honor.
- I've only spent a few months on Wikipedia, but I have many years here to come. I am grateful that I will get to spend them with people like you. 🌷Reverosie🌷★talk★ 03:04, 17 August 2025 (UTC)
- And today, I received a QAI award from Gerda Arendt at User talk:JuniperChill#Precious for improving cozy game articles and working at DYK! JuniperChill (talk) 10:29, 17 August 2025 (UTC)

- Congrats from me as well! - Today's story mentions four singers which I all heard, - enjoy listening to the soprano in a Telemann aria! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:36, 16 August 2025 (UTC)
- adding: check out my talk for an Independence day, or: the pic of Oksana Lyniv was taken on 24 August. There's listening and reading in today's story, and I like both. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:27, 24 August 2025 (UTC)

Katseye review
Thank you again for reviewing the Katseye nomination, it’s very appreciated! And I am sorry I wasn’t more communicative during the process, I knew this would be a possibility so I did try to make do but I would have liked to have been more responsive. Thanks again! orangesclub 🍊 05:49, 23 August 2025 (UTC)
- You're welcome! I'm sorry for the late reply, I was a bit busy yesterday. I should have been more efficient and communicative too, but you were very pleasant to work with and the article was very well written. I'm currently considering creating articles for the members of Katseye because of the review. I'd love to work with you again! 🌷Reverosie🌷★talk★ 21:22, 24 August 2025 (UTC)
Regarding your review
Hello Reverosie, I hope you're doing well today. Regarding the Owodo article and that Ero, Osayomwanbo source that was flagged as unreliable during your review. I want to let you know that I have fixed the article; removing all materials from the said source. I recall that you were almost done, if not done, with the review that day, and that the last question I asked was if I could add an image of File:Ikhaladerhan.jpg when you asked for an image. Please let me know what you think and if I should renom. Thank you already! Vanderwaalforces (talk) 16:47, 21 August 2025 (UTC)
- From a quick skim, it looks very good to me, but I'll have to look at it more in-depth to determine if you should re-nom the article so soon. Also, you can definitely add that image! 🌷Reverosie🌷★talk★ 17:20, 21 August 2025 (UTC)
- Oh, thank you for looking! I don't know of renominating an article after previous review to have a certain period of time interval, lol, I mean, since you're the same reviewer and it was a singular issue too. Okay, thank you, I will add that image. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 17:33, 21 August 2025 (UTC)
- Checking in ... :) See, for example, Talk:Udagbedo where Jens asked for a new nom and just followed process after giving initial comments :) Vanderwaalforces (talk) 13:43, 22 August 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Reverosie, I hope you're fine. What do you think now? Vanderwaalforces (talk) 11:24, 27 August 2025 (UTC)
DYK for Sibylla, Queen of Jerusalem
On 29 August 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Sibylla, Queen of Jerusalem, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Queen Sibylla agreed to divorce her unpopular husband, Guy, on the condition that she could choose her next husband, only for her to choose Guy again and crown him king (pictured)? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Sibylla, Queen of Jerusalem. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Sibylla, Queen of Jerusalem), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
