Tip of the Month:

  • Researching historical women writers who used pseudonyms requires careful investigation across multiple sources, as many women adopted pen names to avoid gender bias and judgment (e.g., being labeled a bluestocking) and, ultimately, to get published.

Chrysippus of Elis edits reverted

edit

Why did you revert my edits in Chrysippus of Elis? I didn't do anything wrong there, I just better organized some references to clarify what each one referred to and corrected a misspelled word. Fábio Aquiles (talk) 20:16, 10 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

They weren't wrong, but a line this small doesn't need citations every second word or so, they can all fall back in the end. You can add Athenaeus and ps.Plutarch with the rest in citation 8 if you like. Deiadameian (talk) 20:51, 10 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

DYK for Semele (play)

edit

On 19 February 2026, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Semele (play), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Aeschylus's lost play Semele is the only known example of the goddess Hera appearing on stage in ancient Greek tragedy? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Semele (play). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Semele (play)), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to nominate it.
