The article List of Socialist Equality Party election results has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
These results have not received significant attention from reliable independent sources, which is hardly surprising as they didn't result in any wins or even came close.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Fram (talk) 10:42, 17 May 2023 (UTC)

- Hi @Samoht27: Thank you for your review! The deleted article was massively different from this article. For example, take WP:RS: That article had just 1 (Vice.com).
- This draft has 7 WP:RS ([2] The Guardian, [3] The Free Press, [4] The Jewish Chronicle, [9] The New York Times, [10] Independent Political Report, [18] Vermont Sec of State, and [19] La Repubblica). This draft also has 11 WP:ABOUTSELF sources ([1] ACP Ledger, [5] CPUSA 32nd Convention, [6] ACP Declaration, [7] Hinkle tweet, [8] Garrido article, [11] CPUSA Solidnet message pt1, [12] CPUSA chapter tweets, [13] CPUSA Solidnet message pt2, [14] WAP declaration, [15] ACP Constitution, and [16] ACP Program).
- In addition, each WP:ABOUTSELF source supports no claim that is substantial or self-serving beyond "ACP holds position X" or "CPUSA holds position Y". This is common in articles on smaller political organizations for summarizing their programs (for example). In this article, all claims which go beyond "ACP says X" are supported by a WP:RS.
- If you have time, I would appreciate another review! SocDoneLeft (talk) 00:12, 19 December 2024 (UTC)

PSL
The source I added regarding the PSL's views on the persecution of Uyghurs said referred to the persecution as a myth. This quote was from that article:
"The so-called forced labor rhetoric is unfounded. So is the overall myth that undergirds it, namely that the Chinese government as a part of a “war on Islam” has incarcerated upward of 1 million Uyghurs and ethnic minorities as part of a genocide." Also in this article it says: "The widely published reports of Zenz, the China whisperer for Western imperialism, are also behind the claims of genocide and mass incarceration. Recent edit reversion
In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.
I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.
I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 00:50, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Sphilbrick:: This is an error. You linked this article: https://newlinesmag.com/reportage/the-left-wing-activists-who-want-to-change-american-politics/
- I can't see the hidden edits. I believe I included 2 sentences from said article, with a reference to that article, in a section on Caucuses to be further reduced later.
- Your reversion also deleted a dozen other non-copyright-affected edits. Please consider reverting back. Thank you. SocDoneLeft (talk) 02:54, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
- It wasn't an error. Copying two sentences is a copyright violation, unless the material copied is properly licensed, or it is legitimately quoted.
- Many editors have expressed surprise that the process for removing a copyright violation is not more surgical. An ideal approach might be to remove exactly the problematic material and leave nonproblematic material. While sympathetic to that goal, the challenges os twofold — one, that we literally get hundreds of reports a day and is only a small handful of editors willing to work on fixing the issues and two, simply removing a couple sentences might interrupt the flow so that approach requires substantial time to understand the flow of the article and how these sentences fit into it.. Given the workload and the number of volunteers has Led to the process that if a copyright issue is detected the easiest solution is to do a rollback of all consecutive edits by the editor, restoring the article to the position before the editor started making changes.
- There are rare circumstances where it is worth spending the time to be more surgical but this one doesn't sound like it qualifies.
- I temporarily undeleted the edits, and emailed you a copy of the article as it was just before I did my reversion so you should now have all the material you need to reestablish any acceptable edits.
- I apologize for this harsh approach but I don't see a better solution. Who knows, maybe someone will create an AI tool that can handle the more surgical approach. S Philbrick(Talk) 13:09, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for your work and for emailing me a copy of the article. SocDoneLeft (talk) 13:54, 11 July 2025 (UTC)

Your recent edit to American Communist Party (2024)
Does not substantiate that MAGA Communism is the officially promoted ideology of the party, nor that it deviates enough from similar socially-conservative Marxist-Leninist parties as to no longer count. You must source this credibly or risk WP:OR and speculation. I also notice that nearly all your wikipedia contributions are on this and closely related topics. COI question relating to the American Communist Party (2024)
You have been editing on the Wikipedia page of the American Communist Party. With Wikipedia and any other encyclopedia that people use to learn about different topics, groups, and people, it is important to abide by neutrality and the policies and guidelines of Wikipedia. A conflict of interest presents a severe challenge to the upholding of this standard because someone with a certain perspective on its own still has room for reaching consensus, whereas with a conflict of interest it is necessary to recuse oneself because the individual has a stake in the matter. Given your previous debate with Haz Al-Din, who is the founding Chairman of the American Communist Party, it does not seem appropriate with this apparent conflict of interest for you to continue editing on the page. August 2025
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Democratic Socialists of America. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. – Muboshgu (talk) 13:48, 9 August 2025 (UTC)
Socialists in Congress list page
I don't know if you saw because I took the liberty of reverting, but that Liberaltarian guy added Ilhan Omar back to the list of socialists and spliced out sections of the reasoning. I feel like this is pretty firmly in bad faith. Should we report? PequodOnStationAtLZ (talk) 21:20, 15 August 2025 (UTC)
- @SocDoneLeft Looks like he hasn't reverted it at least. Anyway, it's been a couple days and he doesn't seem to have elaborated on O'Connell, so I'll probably remove his row and add it to the talk page. I was thinking we could throw in something like this with it to avoid further problems:
- "After a discussion, a majority consensus has been reached that Jerry J. O'Connell does not meet the criteria for this page because:
- 1. He never, as far as any of us have been able to ascertain, declared himself a socialist.
- 2. He never, as far as any of us have been able to ascertain, was a registered member of a socialist organization. (ADDENDUM: For the purposes of this list, a socialist organization is defined as a political organization that publicly and explicitly advocates for socialism. Organziations that merely have socialist members, even in great number, do not qualify. Alleged Communist front organizations also do not qualify, as front organziations, by definition, conceal their true intentions and thus it cannot be immediately determined whether a member knew it was a front. Furthermore, socialist publications cannot have "members," only employees, and guest writers may contribute to the publication without endorsing every last one of its purposes and associations.)
- 3. HUAC testimony, in and of itself, cannot be relied upon to provide objective historical fact.
- 4. Academic study which relies exclusively upon HUAC testimony to reach such conclusions faces the same issue.
- Until such a time as verifiable, accessible information to the contrary is provided, O'Connell will not reside on the table proper."
- I also figured we could add O'Connell to the "Notable progressive but not socialist members," section, since he did support the Spanish Republic and that in and of itself is extremely significant. PequodOnStationAtLZ (talk) 16:26, 17 August 2025 (UTC)

Replaceable non-free use File:Ashik Siddique 2025-01-18 People's March.png

Thanks for uploading File:Ashik Siddique 2025-01-18 People's March.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}}below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing<your reason>with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 20:30, 2 February 2026 (UTC)

RCA
I saw you previously had worked on the RCA article, I have been reworking the article at Revolutionary Communists of America and could use your help. In order to give the article the best chance at survival we need to stick to as many secondary sources as possible and only utilize primary sources where absolutely necessary. Thanks! skarz (talk) 17:40, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi skarz: RCA was AFD'd before for lack of WP:RS. I think the current article would suffer the same fate.
- But I think the current draft at Draft:Revolutionary Communists of America fulfils WP:N. Ideally we would move that draft over the current article, not just copy its code, so that author history is preserved. SocDoneLeft (talk) 19:19, 26 February 2026 (UTC)

I've gone and checked every listed reference to add authors where they were previously left out. Declined Article: Lawrence Yu
Thank you for reviewing the submission.
I have attempted to align the draft with Wikipedia's guidance by significantly shortening the article, removing promotional language, and limiting references to independent published sources where available.
The current version only includes information that can be supported by third-party coverage and avoids internal or self-published material. My intention was to present a minimal, neutral overview rather than a comprehensive biography.
In addition, I have added the required paid/connected contributor disclosure on my user page to follow the instructions previously provided.
If possible, I would appreciate any specific guidance on which sections or statements still appear promotional, or what type of additional sourcing would help the draft better meet Wikipedia’s notability and neutrality standards.
Thank you again for your time reviewing the submission. ShalhoubM (talk) 10:25, 10 March 2026 (UTC)

Acceptance of Eiríka Krogsæter
Hi SocDoneLeft and thanks for all your AfC reviewing! I just wanted to let you know that I've tagged a draft that you accepted, Eiríka Krogsæter, for speedy deletion as a hoax. The creator has just been blocked as a sock of Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Tttg2, which is a sockfarm that has a history of creating hoax articles (including an article about an invented species by the same name). As far as I can tell none of the sources mention Eiríka Krogsæter, and I can't find any evidence elsewhere that she existed. Obviously you had no way of knowing that the creator was a sock, but please be careful to check the sources to confirm that a draft is not a hoax before accepting at AfC. Thanks! Decline of Draft: St. Martin Unity Flag
Hi SocDoneLeft, thanks for your efforts to reduce the backlog at AfC! Just wanted to share some concerns about your decline and comment left on this draft. The main purpose of AfC is to evaluate notability and verifiability; drafts shouldn't be declined because their references aren't formatted with {{cite}} templates, or because they lack categories or sections. If it's notable and referenced, it's better to accept and then apply the relevant maintenance tag. You can find out more about at WP:AFCSTANDARDS :)
