UAA
editThanks for the report at WP:UAA but please note that some wikis allow organisation accounts - see Commons policy for an example, the German wiki is another. Except for the most offensive usernames, please don't report users at WP:UAA if they haven't edited on this wiki. Cabayi (talk) 07:55, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
- What about D6VS.tech (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) and Grupoav.site (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)? These two accounts are actual sites that I entered through my browser URL box and they are actual websites, so these could be blocked ASAP? --みんな空の下 (トーク) 08:39, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
- D6VS.tech is active on Commons where this kind of stuff is allowed. They are not active on this wiki. Until they do something here (contribs or filter log) Commons rules apply.
- Grupoav.site hasn't edited anywhere and it would be premature to block. Though the Spanish wiki have blocked despite no activity ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- How would you feel if your username caused a block on any of the 34 projects where you've been active? Or on the hundreds of projects you haven't even visited? And that rendered you ineligible to use The Wikipedia Library? Or two of them blocked you, causing a global lock? All despite doing nothing wrong by enwiki's rules?
- Usernames went global in 2015. They are no longer just a local matter. We need to consider what other wiki's policies allow. Right up to the point when the user is active here and enwiki's rules apply.
- Finally, I'd also advise a little empathy from someone whose own username contains "Shit". Cabayi (talk) 09:49, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for the additional input. My username is from an Ayaka song... --みんな空の下 (トーク) 09:51, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for the detour. I found Mikazuki on You Tube. Lovely song but having to rely on Google Translate robs it of most of its impact for me :-( Kind of like Lost Without You (Freya Ridings song)? I think I'm about to lose a couple of hours finding new music online :-)
- - Cabayi (talk) 10:15, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
- Are the symbols that appear in your signature a different representation of your username? 331dot (talk) 09:21, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
- Japanese characters. --みんな空の下 (トーク) 12:18, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for the additional input. My username is from an Ayaka song... --みんな空の下 (トーク) 09:51, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
- I would add to this, you should either report a username or attempt to discuss it with the user, not both at the same time. 331dot (talk) 09:44, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
- Second warning
Minna, I see you've resumed your reports of users who have not edited this wiki, Meriton properties ltd & Jennifer d ass. Please, please, please, double check before reporting. Cabayi (talk) 13:00, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
- Sorry, I'll slow down. For the first one, the reply following my initial warning (before reporting) was actually a temporary user (this was an accident that I overlooked at), while for the second one I thought it was a vulgar body part until I was commented that it may also be an abbreviation for assistant (which I either didn't know about or forgot until yesterday). I'll be more careful from now on. But when is it actually OK to report usernames to UAA immediately? --みんな空の下 (トーク) 13:29, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
- Third warning
Special:Permalink/1352795770, really? You're still tackling users who have shown no sign that they're active on this project. This is becoming WP:BITE behaviour. Cabayi (talk) 13:37, 6 May 2026 (UTC)
- Now that I have the time to check I see you've also warned another editor not active on any wiki and a now locked editor who was active on the Italian & Spanish wikis but not here. These are real people who (except for the locked account) deserve to be treated better. This cannot continue. If you can't do this task competently you should find something else to do. Wikipedia is a huge project. There's plenty of other stuff that needs doing. Cabayi (talk) 16:58, 6 May 2026 (UTC)
- Fourth and final warning
You've now handed a warning to Santepheap Dental (talk · contribs) who has neither contributed to this wiki nor left any evidence of trying to do so. At this point they have shown no indication of which project they will be active on. Stop biting new users who have done nothing wrong. Cabayi (talk) 11:21, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Cabayi I'm sorry. I'm starting to realize I've lost control in new accounts patrol for unnecessarily biting the newcomers. I don't think I can responsibly patrol newly-created users, so I'm going to have to fully stop. I apologize. I need serious advice on what to do next. --みんな空の下 (トーク) 11:28, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- Your competence in Japanese could be useful. I asked 4 years ago on jawiki for Japanese speakers to step up to become renamers as Japanese requests often linger unanswered. Perhaps that might be an avenue to pursue, and might improve your awareness of the different sets of username policies which apply, and in which circumstances they apply?
- I'll agree that Special:Log/newusers is not the best data feed for you to monitor unless or until you develop more self-restraint. Cabayi (talk) 12:34, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
Leslie Epstein
editHi Minna, I’m concerned about the removal of the student tributes on Professor Leslie Epstein's page. These are accurate reflections of his professional legacy and were not intended as "puffery" not hate speech. Could you please clarify which specific Wikipedia guideline these quotes violated? I would like to edit the text so it can be restored while remaining in compliance with site standards. Also, I am am American and hold Master's degree in English. COuld you let me know what are your qualifications for editor? Thanks for your time. Camilla nam lee (talk) 18:36, 3 May 2026 (UTC)

Leslie Epstein page
editI would like to open a discussion regarding your@Minna Sora no Shita recent removal of student tributes on the page for Professor Leslie Epstein. I believe these deletions were made in error and overlook the biographical significance of the subject's impact as an educator.
I request that the deletions be reconsidered or that we find a middle ground to include this information per WP:NPOV (Neutral Point of View). I look forward to a constructive dialogue to ensure the article is complete and accurate.
Sincerely, Camilla Lee Graduate of Boston University, Masters in Creative Writing, direct student of Professor Leslie Epstein. Camilla nam lee (talk) 18:44, 3 May 2026 (UTC)

citation
edithi there. I have made an edit to IFFCO's page. My source is an FT article behind a paywall. I don't know how to cite that Belseat (talk) 10:23, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
- @User:DoubleGrazing or @HJ Mitchell I need some assistance for @Belseat --みんな空の下 (トーク) 10:25, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Belseat you can cite it the same way as any other news piece (ideally fill out a full citation but even just a link to the article is helpful). The important thing is that the information can be verified, so as long as you tell everyone where to find it; we use offline and paywalled sources all the time. The relevant bit of policy is WP:PAYWALL. :) HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 10:33, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
- Leaving to one side the question of whether what Belseat was trying to add actually should be added, the source is cited the same way regardless of whether it is behind a paywall or not: the {{cite news}} is the template to use, and if editing in source mode, this is accessible via the 'templates' menu of the editing toolbar. (Can't advise on how this would work in the visual mode, since I never use that myself.) -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:33, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
Review of Draft:All Known Little Ships of Dunkirk
editThank you for your review. I would like to ask for clarification, as the statement that no changes were made does not appear to reflect the revisions or accompanying comments.
Following the previous decline, I made substantive changes to the draft itself, particularly by addressing the earlier concern that vessels were not clearly linked to Dunkirk through reliable sources. The entries are now referenced throughout using published and archival material, which addresses the point about original research.
I also left comments in response to the prior reviewer (EatingCarBatteries) explaining both the changes made and the intended structure of the page as a navigational index to support individual vessel articles, rather than a standalone directory. These points appear not to have been considered in this review.
Given this, could you please confirm whether those revisions and comments were taken into account when assessing the draft? Maritimehistorianuk (talk) 22:07, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
- @EatingCarBatteries I need assistance here --みんな空の下 (トーク) 22:12, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you. To assist further, I would reiterate that substantive changes were made following the previous review, and these were outlined in my earlier comments to @EatingCarBatteries. For clarity, those points were:
- The earlier concern was the lack of references linking vessels to Dunkirk; this has now been addressed by adding reliable, published and archival sources throughout the entries.
- As a result, the draft is not original research, but a compilation of verifiable material supported by citations from existing sources.
- No new interpretation or unpublished claims are introduced; the content reflects what is already documented in reliable sources.
- The page is not intended as a standalone directory, but as a navigational index to support the creation and development of individual vessel articles.
- Many vessels share names or overlap with existing pages, and a structured index helps distinguish these and link to the correct subjects.
- The list is derived from available published and archival source material and is not arbitrarily constructed.
- The intention is to continue improving the material by developing individual vessel pages in a more conventional encyclopaedic format.
- More broadly, this relates to a historically significant subject. Operation Dynamo and the Dunkirk evacuation are major events of the Second World War, and the vessels involved are widely recognised as part of that history. Coverage of these vessels is currently fragmented or absent in many cases, and the purpose of this draft is to provide a structured, sourced framework to support encyclopaedic coverage, not to act as a standalone repository.
- From an encyclopaedic perspective, the draft serves an important function. Wikipedia already contains articles on Operation Dynamo and on selected vessels, but there is no comprehensive, structured index that brings together the full scope of documented participants in a verifiable and navigable way. A list of this nature enables readers to understand the scale and composition of the fleet, supports accurate identification of vessels with overlapping names, and provides a foundation for the development of individual, well-sourced articles. In that sense, it enhances, rather than duplicates, encyclopaedic coverage.
- I would also note that the scope of the list reflects the underlying historical record. These vessels are individually documented, with their own service histories, logs, crews, and, in many cases, personnel who were recognised for their actions. It is therefore not a case of arbitrarily expanding a list, but of representing the available sourced material. Reducing the list without a clear, source-based inclusion criterion would risk omitting historically documented vessels rather than improving encyclopaedic quality.
- Finally, with the 86th anniversary of the Dunkirk evacuation approaching, there is renewed public and historical interest in these vessels. At present, there is no single structured, encyclopaedic, user-contributed resource that brings together this material in a verifiable way. This draft is intended to support that gap using reliable sources, not to introduce new or unpublished information.
- Given this, I would be grateful for clarification as to which specific policy concern remains outstanding—particularly if the issue is now one of scope or format rather than sourcing—so that the draft can be aligned accordingly. --Maritimehistorianuk (talk) 22:25, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you. To assist further, I would reiterate that substantive changes were made following the previous review, and these were outlined in my earlier comments to @EatingCarBatteries. For clarity, those points were:
Thanks for the new users warnings

- @Billybobbyjoed3 But even then it's still not appropriate for Wikipedia unless it meets Wikipedia:Verifiability criteria --みんな空の下 (トーク) 20:41, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Billybobbyjoed3 @[Minna Sora no Shita] spammed my User Page as a violation and requested immediate deletion for adding an honest background biography aimed at detailing personal experience for others to connect with. They listed my user page as "promoting" despite a lack of links or personal promotional content beyond discussing my alias and purpose for work on Wikipedia. Clearly written within my bio was the goal to begin working on real topics pertaining to the areas I'm experienced in from a Professional background so others could better decide for themselves and feel confident in my future work, if any, that I would cite edits and works from only the topics I truly understand. Looking at their page, many articles are "made up of characters" of fiction. I fear the intention of earning recognition means more than adding valid sources to some users and somewhat turns off the feeling of Wikipedia becoming a valid source for information from global and societal differences causing personal bias and general misconception. It seemed dishonest and without allowing a chance to adjust personally, nearly erasing my account before I could get a chance to expand. Thankfully, after several attempts to reduce my bio to not trigger innacurate perceptions, an individual removed their request for immediate user deletion.. Nothing was false or self promoting outside of the requested and mandatory user page info about myself as the user. The point is to add valid sources, how can it be added by someone other than the one who created it literally. Stick to your honest work and hopefully things resolve for you! @Billybobbyjoed3 Adeeg7030 (talk) 04:36, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Adeeg7030 Hi there. Sorry I tagged your userpage initially as CSD G11, I thought it was spam. When you initially said "AMPD Network Company" on your userpage I thought it was corporate, hence my G11 reasoning. But you just clarified that it was a personal name, so I apologize for the confusion. --みんな空の下 (トーク) 04:57, 13 May 2026 (UTC)

Draft:Khiri Travel
editHi Minna Sora. Thank you for assessing the Draft: Khiri Travel page that I wrote - even though you rejected it. To be honest, I am keeping all adjectives out of the draft and just focusing on substantiated & verifiable facts, facts & facts through credible third party links. On those sources, please note that Khiri Travel is a big B2B company of note in Asia. As it is not B2C it, by definition, does not seek nor get media coverage in big B2C outlets such as The Guardian, New York Times, Financial Times, Conde Nast etc. It DOES however get consistent media coverage in all the leading English language B2B travel publications in Asia -- and I cited those. I now intend to shorten the second draft and just drill down on absolute core basics. If you have any additional advice Minna Sora, I will graciously accept with gratitude. Kind regards - Ken MB Scott [PS. I have been fully transparent and declared my financial connection to Khiri Travel. I have been their outsourced PR representative for about 16 years.] Ken MB Scott (talk) 12:42, 14 May 2026 (UTC)

Your review of Draft:Dialogue on Race Louisiana
editHI @Minna Sora no Shita - I was reviewing the candidates for speedy deletion and came across Draft:Dialogue on Race Louisiana which you rejected its AfC submission as "contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Without further elaboration, on the reason for rejection, I'm not sure what issues you identified.
With regard to your rejection reason, I've seen you put that remark on a number of drafts. I would be helpful if you provided more information on the specifics of the issues to allow the editor to mak appropriate changes. — ERcheck (talk) 03:53, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
