Welcome
editHi! I’m a Canadian business professor with a long-standing interest in Canadian business history, entrepreneurship, corporate governance, capital markets, and the people and institutions that have shaped Canada’s commercial development.
I have been a longtime reader of Wikipedia, and as I approach retirement I’m hoping to contribute more actively to the project. My main interest is improving articles related to Canadian companies, business leaders, industries, financial institutions, and historically important developments in Canadian commerce.
I’m still learning the editing process, so I welcome advice, suggestions, and corrections from experienced editors.

More about my interests
editI’m especially interested in how businesses grow, how industries evolve, and how individual entrepreneurs, executives, investors, educators, and institutions contribute to the broader Canadian economy.
I enjoy reading well-sourced articles that place business activity in a broader historical, social, and economic context. I hope to help improve articles in that same spirit.
Articles and topics I may explore
editThis is a personal working list of topic areas I may read about or help improve over time:
- Canadian banks and financial institutions
- Historic Canadian companies
- Business schools and business education in Canada
- Canadian entrepreneurs and executives
- Regional business history
- Trade, industry, and commerce in Canada
- Notable mergers, acquisitions, and corporate milestones
| Topic | Why it interests me |
|---|---|
| Canadian business history | It helps explain how the country’s economy and institutions developed over time. |
| Entrepreneurship | Founder-led companies often reveal important patterns in innovation, risk, and growth. |
| Corporate governance | Governance shapes how organizations make decisions and maintain accountability. |
| Capital markets | Financial markets play a central role in business development and economic expansion. |
Thanks for visiting my user page. I’m new to editing and grateful for any guidance from experienced Wikipedians.
