Change Plot to the following: A pair of interworld-traveling twins, Aether and Lumine, arrive in the world of Teyvat during the destruction of the underground nation of Khaenri'ah. A mysterious deity known as the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles confronts them, separates the twins, and seals the playable twin away for five centuries. When the Traveler awakens, they rescue a small floating companion named Paimon, who becomes their guide as they search for their lost sibling.
The Traveler begins their journey in the city of Mondstadt, where the dragon Stormterror attacks the region. With the help of the Knights of Favonius and the bard Venti—secretly the Anemo Archon Barbatos—the Traveler calms the dragon and resolves the crisis. However, a Fatui Harbinger named La Signora steals Venti's Gnosis, a symbol of an Archon's divine authority. Following Venti's advice, the Traveler travels to the nation of Liyue to seek answers.
In Liyue, the Traveler arrives during the Rite of Descension, an annual ceremony where the Geo Archon Rex Lapis appears to guide the people. When Rex Lapis seemingly dies during the event, the Traveler becomes involved in the investigation. They work with Zhongli and encounter the Fatui Harbinger Tartaglia, who seeks to obtain the Geo Gnosis. Tartaglia unleashes the ancient god Osial in an attempt to force Rex Lapis to intervene, but the crisis is resolved with the help of Liyue's defenders. Zhongli later reveals himself to be Rex Lapis, who staged his death to retire from his role and entrust Liyue's future to its people after secretly handing his Gnosis to the Fatui.
While continuing their search, the Traveler reunites briefly with their sibling alongside a mysterious man named Dainsleif. The Traveler learns that their sibling now leads the Abyss Order, an organization seeking to challenge the divine order of Teyvat. Their sibling refuses to return and disappears, leaving the Traveler to continue their journey.
The Traveler next journeys to Inazuma, a nation isolated under the Raiden Shogun's Sakoku Decree and Vision Hunt Decree. Joining a resistance movement opposing these policies, the Traveler confronts the Raiden Shogun and defeats La Signora in a duel. After uncovering manipulation by the Fatui and confronting the Shogun directly, the Traveler helps end the decrees and restore stability to the nation.
In Sumeru, the Traveler becomes involved in a conflict within the Akademiya, where scholars attempt to elevate Scaramouche—a puppet originally created by the Raiden Shogun—into a god with the help of the Fatui Harbinger Il Dottore. With assistance from Nahida, the young Dendro Archon, the Traveler prevents the plan and explores Irminsul, the world tree that records the history of Teyvat. During this time, the Traveler learns they are one of several individuals known as Descenders, beings who originate from outside the world.
The Traveler later travels to Fontaine, a nation governed by laws and justice, where a prophecy foretells that the nation will be destroyed by a great flood. While investigating the prophecy, the Traveler discovers that the figure known as Furina, believed by the public to be the Hydro Archon, is in fact a human playing the role of the Archon. With the help of Fontaine's leaders, including the chief justice Neuvillette, the prophecy is ultimately resolved and Fontaine is saved from destruction.
Their travels eventually lead them toward Natlan, a nation known for its warrior culture and long-standing conflict with the Abyss. Upon arriving, the Traveler becomes involved in the nation's struggle against Abyssal forces threatening the region. Working alongside Natlan's warriors and local leaders, the Traveler helps repel the invasion and stabilize the nation.
During this time, the Traveler also learns more about the ancient history of Teyvat and the remnants of powers tied to the moon goddesses and other primordial forces. These events lead the Traveler and their allies to pursue powerful relics known as Moon Marrows, fragments of energy connected to the remains of one of Teyvat's moon goddesses.
Their search brings them to Nod-Krai, a remote region tied to the history of Khaenri'ah and the Abyss. There, the Traveler encounters the Wild Hunt, a group of Abyssal entities led by Rerir, a powerful Sinner from Khaenri'ah attempting to restore their physical form. Through a series of confrontations, shifting alliances, and encounters with several powerful figures—including the Fatui Harbingers Columbina and Arlecchino—the Traveler and their allies ultimately prevent Rerir from regaining power and banish them from Teyvat.
However, the Fatui Harbinger Il Dottore later attempts to use the Moon Marrows to create an artificial divine power for himself. The Traveler and their allies intervene and thwart his plan, recovering the stolen relics and preventing him from achieving godhood.
Despite these victories, the Traveler's search for their sibling and the truth behind Khaenri'ah, Celestia, and the Heavenly Principles continues as they travel onward across Teyvat. Hexsune (talk) 17:15, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
Not done per MOS. Guidelines at MOS:PLOT say plots should only be 700 words long, max. I understand Genshin's plot is long and convoluted though. Gommeh (talk! sign!) 17:29, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
Irrelevant?
edit@Gommeh @NegativeMP1 Can you please explain why its irrelevant? Neither of your edit summaries provided a reason, I think that this statistic reflects both what kind of content is created by fans of the game as well as how non-fans view it. See Raiden Shogun and Genshin_Impact#Impact_of_regulations for examples.
To state my biases: I dislike gacha games, I detest that website, and I think that this is funny. 2kbfloppadisk (talk) 05:15, 27 April 2026 (UTC)
- WP:INDISCRIMINATE: The statistic you added was left unexplained, and did not flow well within the paragraph. Your reasoning here

Infobox picture
editI am thinking about maybe changing the picture in the infobox from the game's textual logo to the app icon (the one with Paimon winking), which can be seen at zh:文件:Genshin Impact.jpg. Given that there were NFUR concerns regarding the logo, I thought I would ask for thoughts here just to make sure it's OK with everyone else before adding. This would likely be the same for the logo of Honkai: Star Rail, etc. Thoughts? Gommeh (talk! sign!) 20:10, 10 June 2026 (UTC)
- @Awesome Aasim: I saw that you added the note with your concerns at this diff in 2024. Thoughts? Gommeh (talk! sign!) 20:24, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
- I don't know if it would be allowed under WP:NFCC, specifically that there has to be no free equivalent to satisfy the requirement. Since a free (albeit in the US only) equivalent exists that sufficiently serves identification purposes for Genshin Impact, that is what should be used. Same with Zenless Zone Zero.
- As for Honkai Impact 3rd and Honkai Star Rail the concern may be around minimum usage and commercial opportunities. Aasim (話す) 20:38, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
- No objection to using the text logo for Genshin, but I doubt the minimum usage and commercial opportunities criteria would cause a problem for HSR and HI3, especially since the text logos for those games are copyrightable under US law anyway. Gommeh (talk! sign!) 20:50, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
