Lead
edit- No issues here.
Gameplay
edit- '
rolling eight eight-sided "elemental dice"
' - The double word reads a bit weird here, could the first eight be substituted with the numeric value instead?- Done. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- '
with characters' skills based on their skills within the main game
' - Double wording again, the repetition of the word 'skills
', especially a plural, reads a bit odd.- Done. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- '
can be unlocked via challenges accessible
' - I would swap 'challenges accessible
' around to 'accessible challenges
'.- Instead, I'll change the wording to 'challenges that are accessible within...' Makes a little more sense that way I think. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- '
players are given in advance the actions
' - Same as above, swap 'in advance
' and 'the actions
' to read as 'the actions in advance
'.- Adjusted the wording to make more grammatical sense. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- '
players can either enter
' - 'either enter
' > 'enter either
'.- Not done, I see no issue with the wording here (per US grammar anyway). Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- '
player to play against
' - I would substitute 'play
' with a synonym such as 'compete
'.- Done. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
Story
edit- '
spreading it to other places of Teyvat.
' - 'places
' > 'in
'.- Done. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- I think the second paragraph of this section can be trimmed. Specifically '
in the event
' and repetitions of the word 'game
'.- Fixed. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
Development
edit- No issues here.
Reception
edit- '
player activity increased significantly shortly
' - A comma between 'significantly
' and 'shortly
would flow better here.- I personally think it would flow even better if I just moved "significantly" to after "activity" instead. Putting a comma before "shortly" would seem off. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- '
experiencing longer queues of players waiting to play.
' - Everything after 'longer queues
' is redundant.- Not sure about the word "players" being redundant but agree on everything else. Shortened accordingly. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- '
"easy to get started, but difficult to master", that is, the card effects and rules of the game are easy to understand
' - I am unsure whether the connective 'that is
', is encyclopaedic. This is a
, so don't worry about this affecting whether the article passes or not.
- This should be fine. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- '
an attempt to keep players fresh in Genshin Impact
' - I would change 'keep players fresh in
' to 'keep players involved with
'.- It seems even better to replace it with "engaged with". Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
Physical version
editThe physical version basically follows the same rule of the online version
' - I would drop 'basically
' here.- Replaced with "almost" as it seems a little more formal. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
The article has been translated to a high-quality standard from the Chinese article. The above consists of minor wording and punctuation edits. 11WB (talk) 23:18, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
This criterion is passed. 11WB (talk) 22:32, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
Lead
edit- Ref 2: This confirms the version number and date.

Gameplay
edit- The first paragraph and final sentence of the second paragraph don't appear to be sourced. The final sentence of the third paragraph is also lacking a source.
- Removed the last sentence of the third paragraph. The others appear to have been cited to the rule book posted by miHoYo, so I've duplicated the citations for clarity. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- Looks fine to me.
11WB (talk) 22:48, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- Refs 4 and 5: I am unsure where the information is substantiated within the sources. I am also concerned that Ref 4 is a WP:BLOG, which may have questionable reliability.
- This is a primary source from the game's developer, so it should be OK if used according to WP:PRIMARY, especially since it is accompanied by a citation to Kotaku. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- Ref 5: Confirms the information regarding Lucky Coins.

- The final sentence of the first paragraph of the PvE gameplay section is unsourced.
- As someone who has dabbled in this gamemode before, I can verify that the information in that sentence is true, but it still needs a source. Removed. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- The second paragraph of the PvE gameplay section is lacking a source.
- Removed. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- The first paragraph of the Multiplayer section is unsourced.
- Added two sources. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- The information is verifiable, however the use of an IGN guide source is problematic. These are editable by anybody who is logged in and despite appearing as reliable on the cite plugins, are actually WP:SPS technically. I am happy to allow this one though, as Jen Rothery, a deputy editor on their guides team is attributed on the article.
11WB (talk) 22:52, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- This was my line of thought exactly. Gommeh 📖 🎮 23:10, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- Ref 7: This appears to confirm the information regarding invites.

- The final paragraph of the Multiplayer section is lacking a source.
- Added. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- Looks fine.

Story
edit- Plot sections generally lack sources in television and film articles, however as an article about a TCG, I feel this section should be sourced.
Second opinion requested
- This is ultimately about a video game (mode), so while sourcing is helpful I doubt it would be required here. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- Going to ping @NegativeMP1 here for a third opinion. 11WB (talk) 22:38, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- Personally, when I am writing an article on a specific element on a video game, I try to source plot or setting details whenever possible. Sometimes I will make a citation to a specific scene in a game to help out. But how I personally do things isn't policy. I'd source it if possible, even if the citations are just to particular parts of the game, but I don't think it is a deal breaker. It should still realistically fall under WP:VGPLOT. λ NegativeMP1 22:59, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- That guideline makes sense. I'll leave that one as optional then! 11WB (talk) 23:16, 24 January 2026 (UTC)

Development
edit- Ref 8: As a YouTube video I would usually say this is unreliable per WP:RSPYT, however being from the Genshin Impact YouTube channel, this is WP:PRIMARY. The video is just over an hour long, so a timestamp here would be helpful to verify what is written in the article text.
- Added. Thank goodness for YouTube's captioning timestamp and Ctrl-F, haha. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
Reception
edit- Ref 10: This source is unreliable per WP:VG/S.
- Good catch, removed. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- Ref 14: Comic Book Resources is a risky one. I personally don't have an issue with it being used here, but other editors could remove this per WP:UNDUE. (Here is an example.) Regardless, this information is attributed and summarised correctly.
- I see it as unreliable, so removed. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- I didn't have an issue with CBR being cited... No problem though. 11WB (talk) 22:37, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- Ref 17: Same as Ref 10, this source is not reliable and should be removed or replaced.
- Done. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- Ref 19: This seems accurate.

Physical version
edit- Ref 22: Confirms the publisher, ShiningSoul.

- Ref 23 and 24: Neither of these sources are reliable according to Chinese Wikipedia's list.
- Removed. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
There are some sourcing issues in this article. I have recommended some changes above. 11WB (talk) 23:44, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
This criterion is passed. 11WB (talk) 23:17, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
The current sections focusing on gameplay, story, development and reception, along with information about the physical edition covers everything I expect to read about. It appears there may be versions before the mentioned version 3.3, would it be possible to include some background on the development on those versions in that section? Have there been any tournaments based around this TCG that can be covered in the article? 11WB (talk) 00:18, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- There have been some tournaments, but I haven't seen enough coverage of them that I would think justifies writing about them in the article. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- I found some sources for this that I think could be used for a section:
- 11WB (talk) 22:36, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- I will leave this open-ended, rather than making it requirement to pass. 11WB (talk) 23:26, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
This criterion is passed. 11WB (talk) 23:27, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
No personal opinions are given in the article, and all quotes are attributed. 11WB (talk) 00:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
This criterion is passed. 11WB (talk) 00:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
The edit history doesn't show any signs of edit warring and the talk page has no evidence of disputes. 11WB (talk) 22:53, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
This criterion is passed. 11WB (talk) 22:53, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
There is an image in the main infobox that shows an active game. There is also an image in the infobox of the Physical version section. Whilst the inclusion of this image is fine, the inclusion of an entire infobox means there is a large white space in this section. I think removing the infobox and having just the image would be fine here. 11WB (talk) 00:13, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- Removed the infobox. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
Would it be possible to include the official logo in the main infobox? 11WB (talk) 01:56, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- Done. Moved the image that was previously there to the body. Gommeh 📖 🎮 21:14, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
This criterion is passed. 11WB (talk) 22:33, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
Result
edit- Everything has been addressed and all criteria have been met. Some suggestions are optional, such as including a section about tournaments, and including sources for the story section. I have no problem with passing this! 11WB (talk) 23:29, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
This article meets all the criteria and can be reassessed as a good article! 11WB (talk) 23:29, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
