- The Tag & Assess drive has started! There are over 50,000 articles that need to be reviewed. We have already had a great start, with over 3,000 articles reviewed in the first few weeks! With many awards available, you can review whatever ranges you feel comfortable with. Instructions can be found on the drive's page.
- Due to real life issues limiting his time to contribute to the project, lead coordinator Erik has stepped down from his position. In his place, the other coordinators appointed Nehrams2020 to the lead. The coordinators plan to find another member to fill the new vacant coordinator position.
- Our project currently has over 62,500 film-related articles, with 58,000 that have been assessed by our assessment department! Remember to always add the
{{Film|class=}} template to a film article's talk page so the project can get a better idea of what work still needs to be done. Below is a table showing a breakdown of our articles by class.
- Based on views, the top five most popular articles from our project this month were: Paranormal Activity (film), Twilight, 2009 in film, Internet Movie Database, and Star Trek. For a list of our project's top 1,000 most popular articles, see here. Consider improving one of these articles that is seen by thousands of people each month.
- Our articles continue to gain popularity, whether viewed on Wikipedia, or in new forms of media. The video service Vudu has announced that it will use summaries of Wikipedia film articles and will also link to them. Articles that you work on will help viewers decide what films to watch.
- Spotlight Update: Multiple films and film-related articles have reached GA and FA status in November. One article was also delisted from FA-status.
