The Graphics Lab is a project to improve the graphical content of the Wikimedia projects. Requests for image improvements can be added to the workshop pages: Illustrations, Photographs and Maps. For questions or suggestions one can use the talk pages: Talk:Graphics Lab, Talk:Illustrations, Talk:Photographs and Talk:Maps.
This specific page is the requests page for the illustration workshop. Anyone can make a request for an illustration to be improved or created for a Wikipedia article. Clicking the "New Request" button will bring you to a standard template for submitting requests, as well as general advice that should be followed. Many charts and graphs on the web are in the public domain. See c:Template:PD-chart; no need to create another free chart here if it already exists on the web. See this Casebook to see what charts qualify as public domain. Requests for healthcare related images may be make at MDWiki:WikiProjectMed:Requested_images.

Advice to requesters

All requests:

  • Please make sure your request is "legitimate" by copyright. If the image(s) are in the public domain or freely licensed, you are fine. If the image(s) are "Fair use", there are only certain things we can do with them without falling afoul of Wikipedia's fair-use policies.
    • If you are requesting assistance with a copyright or fair-use image, don't display it on this page; place {{GLNF|Example.png|caption|align=left}} to create a link to it. Do not add the File: extension. Our fair-use policy does not allow displaying fair-use images out of their articles on ANY account.
  • Please check back regularly to see if progress has been made or if any additional questions need to be answered before the request can be completed.
  • If a request is done to your satisfaction, please mark it with {{resolved}}.

SVG requests:

  • Make sure your request can actually BE vectorized. Note that vector drawings are not suitable for certain applications. We generally use SVG format for icons, logos, drawings, maps, flags, and such. Certain things, photographs especially, are totally impossible to vectorize.
  • Per our non-free content policy, vectorization of copyrighted images is not permitted. If a vectorized non-free image is desired, seek out such an image from the copyright holder.

Could somebody please create SVG files for the following two proposed flags of Zeelandic Flanders and two proposed flags of Hulst and other proposed municipal flags, and also revectorize the flag of Zeelandic Flanders to mirror correct colors and design?

Hi @Alexphangia You should consider learning some basic SVG skills, as for minor colour changes you can just edit with a text editor. In fact you can just use a phone and a text editor app (I use runestone text) to edit RAPTOR7762Whats up? 08:57, 13 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Burjkh: Thank you for creating the fifth design! Although I would like to request some changes to it to bring it more in line with the actual flag from the source image; The wheel should be smaller, and should also be repositioned so that the centre of it aligns exactly with the spot where the three dividing lines between the background colours meet. I think every logo used by the Brazilian Football Confederation can be vectorized.

For the logos used between 1980 and 1991 (not displayed here), a free rendition of the Jules Rimet trophy can be used to replace the official logo of the time, which is copyrighted) as the trophy is in the public domain since 2024 (Abel Lafleur, the designer of the trophy, died in 1953). For the other CBF logo with the Jules Rimet trophy, there's a coffee company logo (Café do Brasil) which does not meet the threshold of originality, inside the CBF logo. -- Candidyeoman55 (talk) 21:07, 4 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Yes, that original signature was of red colour and needs a better, cleaner vectorization as the one made years ago in black color has issues. Would be great if the original signature will get better and more precise vectoziation, if possible. Regards, An emperor ✖ 23:33, 16 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

I would like a skeletal diagram of the NpO2(NO3)−3 complex in the compound neptunyl ammonium nitrate, with bond lengths. I believe this would make the information on the article easier to understand. I made a mock-up at https://unbihexiumfan.github.io/Untitled.png, so all that is needed is to make a more professional diagram with a program such as ChemDraw.

I have made 3 rough SVG images in the above article. As you can tell, im not particularly good at making them! I've had to make the thumbnails large so they're easy to read.
