Better source request for File:Aline Meyer Liebman.jpg

edit

Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete or generic. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact source (such as the web page, or printed document) where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain, search engine, pinboard, aggregator, or the direct/bare URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:30, 12 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi Roundtheworld. Can you provide more information about this image's provenance? Without such information, it's possible that this file could be tagged for speedy deletion per WP:F4. For non-free content in particular, some evidence of previous publication needs to be provided for the file to be considered to meet WP:NFCC#4. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:34, 12 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
@talk. Done. Apologies. I also managed to make a mistake on the file name. Would you mind changing it to File:AlineMeyerLiebman.jpg ? As they say, "more haste, less speed". Rgds Roundtheworld (talk) 08:42, 12 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for providing a better source for the file. As for the name change, I'm not an adminsitrator or filemover so I can't do that myself; you can, however, request a name change yourself using Template:Rename media as explained in WP:FNC. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:59, 13 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Filipa César, a link pointing to the disambiguation page Cartagena was added.

Great! I had a text all prepared to create the entry and then checked and saw you beat me to the punch. I just added some extra text and references. Best -- Sam Sam Perkins (talk) 22:03, 5 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Sam Perkins I've had the same experience. Thanks for the improvements. Roundtheworld (talk) 11:03, 6 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hallo, Following your note at WiR 365 I've started this article, but I can't find a source for her being included in Les femmes artistes d'Europe. I was sure that the online copy of the catalouge in ref 8 would be helpful, but it seems to be missing the key page, as page 57 starts to list painters from "Tchecoslovaquie" but the next, and last, page seems to be numbered 32 and isn't the rest of the Czechs.

Which of the sources actually lists her name, please? Thanks.

I picked her for WiR as being both an artist and from a "C" country! PamD 18:56, 6 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

@D. Thanks. I'd really like to get them all blue. It is on the top of page 58 of the book, page 26 of the web site. Under Mezerova. I'll leave the Czechs to you! Roundtheworld (talk) 19:24, 6 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

  • Special report: What actually happened during the Wikimedia security incident?
A horrifying exploit took place, which could have had catastrophic and far-reaching consequences if used maliciously; instead, it seems to have happened by accident and was used for childish vandalism. How did this happen, and what did the script actually do?

We have at least five respectable sources saying 1973: , , , , , plus a book chapter: . That to me is conclusive.

As to the possible 1977 painting: who knows? Maybe she meant to write “1”. Maybe someone else wrote the 7 after she died. Maybe she had a daughter with the same name. (There’s a 1978 work on the same site.) It doesn’t really matter: our role is to record what reliable published sources have to say about the topic, not to perform original research on reproductions of artworks. — Biruitorul Talk 10:17, 22 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi, which category is unreferenced? DuncanHill (talk) 19:06, 9 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

@User talk:DuncanHill. Apologies. I should have added the tag to his son Gerald Isaacs, 2nd Marquess of Reading. The unreferenced cat there is "English people of Portuguese-Jewish descent". There are quite a few articles about Portuguese Jews in Britain that have this category without any citation. Roundtheworld (talk) 08:48, 10 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
