Yes, in looking more closely at Wikipedia guidelines for paid contributions, I realize I should have added a statement on the talk page accompanying any paid contributions that I made. I will make sure to do that in the future, and will do so for any post paid contributions that I have previously made. Regarding your comment about other accounts that have been engaging in covert advertisement, I do not have any connections to any other accounts. Hi and thanks for the helpful comments. Conqueroo is the client for the Cary Baker article. Regarding reviews of his book, it's not out till this fall and so there are no reviews yet. I'm going to look for better citations for the narrative, although I have done a pretty thorough search already. As for as the disclosure on the talk page, actually the WP:Paid policy states "or", quote: They must do this on their main user page, or on the talk page accompanying any paid contributions, or in edit summaries. so technically you are not required to do both (but please keep doing it because it is helpful). That's why I am wondering if there's not a better approach for a scenario like yours. My guess is when the core policy developed editors assumed client=draft/article but that's not the situation here.
