Administrators' newsletter – January 2026
News and updates for administrators from the past month (December 2025).
- All general sanctions imposed by the community may now be enforced at the Arbitration Enforcement noticeboard (WP:AE) as a result of a recent RfC.
- Due to the result of a recent RFC, the administrator recall process is amended to extend the deadline for a re-request for adminship to 30 days or the next administrator election, whichever is later.
- Changes to the Access to Temporary Account IP Addresses Policy's disclosure rules include broadening the consecutive-blocks exception to cover all admin actions and removing the requirement to revision-delete permissible disclosures once they become unnecessary (instead requiring only their removal). See WP:TAIVDISCLOSE for more information.
- Following the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections, the following editors have been elected to the Arbitration Committee: Aoidh, Asilvering, Girth Summit, Guerillero, HJ Mitchell, HouseBlaster, Izno, Sdrqaz, SilverLocust.
- The arbitration case Pbsouthwood has been suspended.

FYI... more changes were just made to the "Edit watchlist" page, breaking the subject script. Thank you for your previous work on it! Stefen 𝕋ower Huddle • Handiwerk 02:32, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads-up StefenTower, they really do like to keep breaking things. I'll have a look over the weekend. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 09:20, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
- Noticed the same last night and glad to see you've already been tipped off. Best of luck with fixing it - it's so useful. Mutt Lunker (talk) 11:52, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
- StefenTower and Mutt Lunker I think I have fixed it. Also I amended my common.css to remove the added padding and font increase see the bottom of User:KylieTastic/common.css. Let me know if you see any issues. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 19:43, 10 January 2026 (UTC)

Weekly highlight
- The Wikimedia Foundation has shared some guiding questions for the July 2026–June 2027 Annual Plan on Meta and Diff. These focus on global trends, faster and healthier experimentation, better support for newcomers, strengthening editors and advanced users, improving collaboration across projects, and growing and retaining readership. Feedback and ideas are welcome on the talk page.
Updates for editors
- As part of the current work of Community Tech team on the Multiple watchlists project, the display of EditWatchlist will be updated as a first step towards multiple watchlists. Additionally, the pagination on Search will be updated too, as a part of the work on the Revamp pagination / page navigation wish.
- The Global Watchlist is a MediaWiki extension that lets you see your watchlists from different wikis on the same page. It was recently updated to look more like the regular Watchlist, such as preparing it for temporary accounts in IP masking (including rerouting user links to contributions pages), making page titles bold, and opening links in edit summaries and tags in new browser tabs.
View all 28 community-submitted tasks that were resolved last week. For example, the issue where global blocks did not have the option to disable sending emails, has now been fixed, and will be available for use in the week of January 13.
Updates for technical contributors
- The VisualEditor citation tool and Reference Previews now support "map" as a reference type.

question
Hi KylieTastic (a belated Happy New Year) I was wondering if you'd want me to do https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Articles_for_creation&diff=next&oldid=1264370417#question_2 like last year https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:DreamRimmer_bot_II/Reports/Top_AfC_reviewers with this years(same barnstar/virtual award), thanks, Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 14:29, 21 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Ozzie10aaaa, sounds like a good idea to me, not that I've been very active in AfC since becoming an admin. Your never going to please everyone, but some positive feedback to people aligns with what NPP do so why not. If you do, I guess it makes sense to use the report version from 00:30, 01 January 2026. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 15:16, 21 January 2026 (UTC)
- ...sounds good, will use '01 January 2026' and do first thing tomorrow morning, and thanks Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 15:23, 21 January 2026 (UTC)

EditWatchlistByExpiry.js, again
Hi there, EditWatchlistByExpiry.js appears to have been thwarted again by some change. No idea if it's connected but, on viewing my list, I'm getting a pop-up message about "Create and assign labels", followed by another "Filter by labels". Mutt Lunker (talk) 16:05, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Mutt Lunker, yes the surprise roll out of watchlist labels broke it again. It was scheduled for 08:00-09:00 UTC today, mentioned just a few hours before on that project task T413967. I will try to find some time soon to fix it. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 16:29, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Mutt Lunker, turned out not to be a major change so I have fixed again, so hopefully all good. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 20:10, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
- Yes, all working again, thanks. Mutt Lunker (talk) 22:22, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
Hey, KylieTastic,
I just wanted to thank you for helping out so much at REFUND. Now that we are deleting a lot of CSD U6s, I noticed that there are more people coming to the noticeboard and requesting page restorations and a few of the admins who used to help out there are either no longer admins or have found other parts of the project to devote their time, too. I use to regularly pitch in at REFUND a few years ago and will try to drop by more often. But your efforts are appreciated! Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 02:47, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks Liz, luckily we also have another new admin MPGuy2824 also helping a lot to fill the void. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 09:54, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
- I came across Draft:Lobotomy Conlang and just wanted to remind you to do a minor edit to the draft or sandbox after they are restored or they appear to be eligible for speedy deletion again. Thanks. Liz Read! Talk! 00:56, 5 February 2026 (UTC)
- Opps, I got distracted by it being made up and thinking it would best be deleted as just made up, then remembered we don't have a CSD for that, and wondering why... and then forgot to do the G13 cock reset edit. :/ KylieTastic (talk) 09:59, 5 February 2026 (UTC)

Administrators' newsletter – February 2026
News and updates for administrators from the past month (January 2026).
- Due to the result of a recent motion, a rough consensus of administrators at the arbitration enforcement noticeboard may impose an expanded topic ban on Israel, Israelis, Jews, Judaism, Palestine, Palestinians, Islam, and/or Arabs, if an editor's Arab-Israeli conflict topic ban is determined to be insufficient to prevent disruption. At least one diff per area expanded into should be cited.
- Voting in the 2026 Steward elections started on 06 February 2026 at 14:00 (UTC) and will end on 27 February 2026 at 14:00 (UTC). The confirmation process for current stewards is being held in parallel. You can automatically check your eligibility to vote.

Question on handling an AfC accept with a COI editor
Hi Kylie, I recently started helping out at AfC and I accepted Fino al mare a few days ago. I was a little bit unsure at the time (and am feeling less confident in it now), and the creator has made some edits to the page (with a declared COI). What should I be doing in this situation? (If you think I made the wrong call on the AfC accept and it should be draftified/AfD'd, feel free.) Thanks, ScalarFactor (talk) 20:34, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi ScalarFactor, if someone declares a COI after acceptance I would just re-read and check there is nothing that stands out with that new info taken into consideration. However a quick scan shows it's not the normal COI puff. You could add a {{Connected contributor}} tag on the talk page to note that its a COI. I haven't had the time to look at the sources to see if I agree with notability, but it still has to go through NPP for a second set of eyes. If you were auto-patrolled I would just say un-patrol to make sure it gets the second opinion, but that's not an issue for this. There is a lot of grey zone stuff when doing AfC and you will find those willing to criticise for accepting or declining any in that area. Sometimes it's good to just go with the flow, do your best and just watch things to see what happens. Unless you see something that now makes you want to revert the accept I would just leave to NPP and not worry. There is a ton of crap that needs to be declined and good stuff needed to be saved, and for the rest just do your best at guessing if it has a good chance of surviving an AfD and that all anyone can ask for. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 21:00, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for the advice. They did declare the COI ahead of time, but they've edited the page after the accept when (afaik) they're supposed to be using {{edit coi}} requests on the talk page. The changes are admittedly pretty minor but I think I'll just put the CC template on the talk page and leave it for whoever's on NPP, yeah. (There really is just so much crap... I'm always so happy to see something that isn't the worlds most promotional (auto)biography or company profile...) ScalarFactor (talk) 21:10, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
NPOV
Hi! Would you be so kind to take a look here? Thanks, Polygnotus (talk) 01:25, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) If you're just looking for an opinion from an WP:UNINVOLVED editor, WP:3O might be a better place to ask, given the time zone indicator on this talk page. ScalarFactor (talk) 02:41, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
- True, but I've already been waiting a while so one extra day doesn't matter. And KylieTastic is probably familiar with how things like this should work, after half a million (what?) edits. Polygnotus (talk) 03:51, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Polygnotus, siorry I did see your ping yesterday but I'm tied up in a complex project at work, so I did not have time to look. I did flag to some fellow admins on discord, but I guess no one saw or had the time to look. I'm probably going to be busy all day again today but I will try to look properly at the weekend. Although Longhornsg has not responded I see the original poster said the original post was hasty and they are fine for it to be changed for neutrality, so if I was you I would have just asked them if they were happy with your adjustment? File:The Secrets of Hotel 88 title card.jpg
Hi KykieTastic. Could you check the older versions of File:The Secrets of Hotel 88 title card.jpg that you deleted per F5? The most recent version of this title screen is too simple to be PD under US copyright law. It was uploaded as non-free content, but I subsequently converted its licensing to PD. If the older now deleted versions are the same, they could probably be restored. I thought I did all the cleanup associated with this, but I must've forgotten to remove the "orfurrev" template. My apologies if that was the case and for creating some extra work for you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 10:43, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Marchjuly, the first image was a photo of a coastal area with the title in pink, so presumably not PD. The second and third are versions of the current so I have restored the revisions. The 4th is a version of this so also not PD. If the plan was to move to commons I could have considered fully deleting the other two versions or splitting, but as it is marked do not copy to commons due to Philippines law I guess this is the best fro now. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 10:55, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for checking on this. -- Marchjuly (talk) 10:57, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
Administrators' newsletter – March 2026
News and updates for administrators from the past month (February 2026).

- Following an RfC, the web archival service archive.today has been deprecated; links to the site should be removed.
- A request for comment is open to discuss retiring CSD criterion R3 in favour of handling such redirects through RfD.
- Following a motion, remedy 9.1 of the Conduct in deletion-related editing case has been amended to limit TenPoundHammer to one XfD nomination or PROD per 24-hour period.
- Following a motion, the Iskandar323 further POV pushing motion has been rescinded.
- The Arbitration Committee has passed a housekeeping motion rescinding a number of outdated remedies and enforcement provisions across multiple legacy cases. In most instances, existing sanctions remain in force and continue to be appealable through the usual processes, while some case-specific remedies were amended or clarified.
- Following the 2026 Steward Elections, the following editors have been appointed as stewards: A09, AmandaNP, Barras, Count Count, M7, SHB2000, Teles and VIGNERON.
- An Unreferenced articles backlog drive is taking place in March 2026 to reduce the backlog of articles tagged with {{Unreferenced}}. You can help reduce the backlog by adding citations to these articles. Sign up to participate!

Weekly highlight
- Wikipedia 25 Birthday mode is now live on Betawi, Breton, Chinese, Czech, Dutch, English, French, Gorontalo, Indonesian, Italian, Luxembourgish, Madurese, Sicilian, Spanish, Thai, and Vietnamese Wikipedias! This limited-time campaign feature celebrates 25 years of Wikipedia with a birthday mascot, Baby Globe. When turned on, Baby Globe is shown on ~2,500 articles, waiting to be discovered by readers. Communities can choose to turn Birthday mode on by getting consensus from their community and asking an admin to enable the feature and customize it via community configuration on the local wiki.
Updates for editors
- Sub-referencing, a new feature to re-use references with different details has been released to Swedish Wikipedia, Polish Wikipedia and a couple of other wikis. You can try the feature on these projects or on testwiki and betawiki. Learnings from the first pilot wiki German Wikipedia have been published in a report. Reach out to the Wikimedia Deutschland team if you are interested in becoming a pilot wiki.
- Paste Check will become available at all Wikipedias this week. The feature prompts newcomers who are pasting text they are not likely to have written into VisualEditor to consider whether doing so risks a copyright violation. Paste Check tags all edits where it is shown for potential review. Local administrators can configure various aspects of the feature via Special:EditChecks. Research across 22 wikis found that Paste Check resulted in an 18% decrease in relative reverted-edits compared to the control group. Translators can help to localize this and related features.
- The Reader Experience team will be standardizing the user menu in the top right for all mobile users so that it is closer to the desktop experience. Currently this user menu is only visible to users with Advanced Mobile Controls (AMC) turned on. The only change is that a couple buttons previously in the left-side menu will move to the top right for users who do not have AMC turned on. This change is expected to go out March 9 and seeks to improve the user interface.
- Starting in the week of March 2, the emails sent out when an email address was added, removed, or changed for an account will switch to a substantially nicer and clearer HTML email from the prior plaintext one.
- Notifications are currently limited to 2,000 historic entries per user, and extend back to 2013 when the feature was released. This is going to be changed to only store Notifications from the last 5 years, but up to 10,000 of them. This will help with long-term infrastructure health and help to prevent more recent notifications from disappearing too soon.
- The Global Watchlist which lets you view your watchlists from multiple wikis on a single page continues to see improvements. The latest update improves label usage experience. The extension now allows activating the language fallback system for Wikidata items without labels in the viewed language, and showing those labels in the user’s preferred Wikidata language if no
uselang=URL parameter is provided. - The Wikipedia Android team has started a beta test of hybrid search on Greek Wikipedia. Hybrid search capabilities can handle both semantic and keyword queries enabling readers to find what they’re looking for directly on Wikipedia more easily.
- For security reasons, members of certain user groups are required to have two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled. Currently, 2FA is required to use the group, but not to be a member of it. Given that this model still has some vulnerabilities, the situation will gradually change in March. Members of these groups will be unable to disable last 2FA method on their account, and it will be impossible to add users without 2FA to these groups. Users will still be able to add new authentication methods or remove them, as long as at least one method is continuously enabled. In the second half of March, users without 2FA will be removed from these groups. This applies to: CentralNotice administrators, checkusers, interface administrators, suppressors, Wikidata staff, Wikifunctions staff, WMF Office IT and WMF Trust & Safety. Nothing will change for other users. See the linked task for deployment schedule.
View all 27 community-submitted tasks that were resolved last week. For example, the issue preventing users from creating an instance in Wikibase.cloud has now been fixed.
Updates for technical contributors
- To help ensure fair use of infrastructure, over the next month the Wikimedia Foundation will implement global API rate limits across our APIs. In early March, stricter limits will be applied to unidentified requests from outside Toolforge/WMCS and API requests that are made from web browsers. In April, higher limits will be applied to identified traffic. These limits are intentionally set as high as possible to minimise impact on the community. Bots running in Toolforge/WMCS or with the bot user right on any wiki should not be affected for now. However, all developers are advised to follow updated best practices. For more information, see Wikimedia APIs/Rate limits.
- The Wikidata Query Service Linked Data Fragment (LDF) endpoint will be decommissioned in February. This endpoint served limited traffic, which was successfully migrated to other data access methods that were better suited to support existing use cases. The hardware used to support the LDF endpoint will be reallocated to support the ongoing backend migration efforts.
- The new Parsoid parser continues to be deployed to additional wikis, improving platform sustainability and making it easier to introduce new reading and editing features. Parsoid is now the default parser on 488 WMF wikis (268 Wikipedias), now covering more than 10% of all Wikipedia page views.
- The process and criteria for requesting exceptional access to the high volume feed of the Wikimedia Enterprise APIs (at no cost for mission-aligned usecases), have now been published. This is to provide more thorough and clearer documentation for users.
- Tech Blog, the blog dedicated to the Wikimedia technical community will be migrating to Diff, the community news and event blog. The migration should be complete in April 2026, after which new posts will be accepted for publishing. Readers will be able to access posts – old and new – on the landing page at https://diff.wikimedia.org/techblog.

Actioned histmerge request
Many thanks for actioning that histmerge request so quickly; very much appreciated. With thanks, Craig(talk) 23:03, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Cs-wolves no worries, I noticed you have also tagged {{Cycling data RRS}} but {{Cycling data WIB}} is still active/not redirected. Merging only makes sense if WIB is to be redirected. If both are used the history cannot be in both. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 10:27, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
- @KylieTastic: That might have been my fault on the original request, apologies. What I meant was that {{Cycling data WIB}} was the original creation back in 2016, with the team name at the time reflecting that team code as per this link. Ordinarily, if a team changes their team code, the page would be moved and the previous team code would be left as a redirect. However, it appears that {{Cycling data RRS}} has been created as a copy-and-paste yesterday, with all transclusions having been updated from WIB to RRS, so WIB is now unused (but not redirected). I hope that makes sense! Craig(talk) 20:20, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
Recent IP range block
Unfortunately, these seems like WAY too big of a range block, I see too many good faith editors in the range for a full week long block. Is it possible to either reduce the range or the duration, things are heated and I could see this passing over by tomorrow. – LuniZunie(talk) 17:13, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @LuniZunie, that was a temporary overreach to just shut things down while I worked out a how to block the smaller range between the default options of /32 and /48. I have removed the 2A04:4A43:0:0:0:0:0:0/32 and added the 2A04:4A43:5000:0:0:0:0:0/40 which has only had a small number of non reverted edits in the last week. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 17:38, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
- Cheers! New range looks good =) Thanks for the help, – LuniZunie(talk) 17:39, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
Message from Kat Lee Carter | Scomophobia | On-View
Dear, Kylie.
I saw you deleted the page of Scomophobia as it being a Hoax. However it actually isn't. There has been extensive research by me and my team to discover more about scomophobia. I want to ask if you are Australian but its clear you aren't so. Please do not imprint yourself into it. Here in Australia I have done a lot of research and come to the conclusion that it is actually a thing and a lot of Australians feel it. I have studied it for years. If you have any questions please ask them but don't delete pages unless you have research to back them up. Thanks.

Hello,
You have cleared my sandbox, User:SietsL/klimaat correctly.
In the meantime I have created two new sandboxes, User:SietsL/klimaat.plus and User:SietsL/klimaat.min
But unfortunately I once typed in the old sandbox address, User:SietsL/klimaat
This results in hearing an irritating sound through my PC.
So I kindly ask you to made this annoying sound stop. SietsL (talk) 11:32, 18 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @SietsL, there is nothing specific on Wikipedia that I can think of that can cause that. Do you get the sound if you go to other pages that do not exist such as User:SietsL/klimaat2? KylieTastic (talk) 12:01, 18 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hello,
- At this moment, the sound has already stopped.
- By the way, thanks for your quick response.

- Hello,
Request from Creator of the Draft:Sai Symphony Orchestra
Could you please recover/ undelete the draft that i had created on the orchestra... the text seemed to be promotional but you need not delete the page itself. This orchestra IS REAL. They are representing their country in real time as I type this message to you. Please consider this request. I will work on getting better sources to back the information on that page.
Why do guys find youtube links unreliable? Youtube sources shows things as it is; WYSIWYG isn't it ?
Looking forward to your response on this. Ishaan Ram (talk) 03:49, 21 March 2026 (UTC)

provide significant coverage: discuss the subject in detail, excluding routine coverage like product launches, staff appointments, or financial reports and listings in databases or listicles;
are reliable: from reputable outlets with editorial oversight;
are independent: not connected to the subject, such as press releases, the subject's own website, or sponsored content.
I have an issue with my sources. I do have sources that meet all three criteria, but there aren't a lot of them, and don't get into much of the details that I need. A lot of the finer details are contained within the website of the school, and without them, it is pretty difficult to get much information. Is there a way that I can get around this? Brrrrrrayden (talk) 21:34, 13 April 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Brrrrrrayden, unfortunately there is no "way that I can get around this". Most schools just don't have the independent sources to show notability so it is a hard topic. Also it should be written like an encyclopedic article not like what you would find on the schools own website. Your first two sources are just basic listings that show the school exists not that it is notable. There are two concerns you need to consider: first is are there 3+ independent reliable sources with significant coverage to show notability, and if so the second is that the content should only come from your sources which does not appear to be true at the moment. Refund request
Can you please refund me the page Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party of the Soviet Union as a draft or user page along with its edit history. I did not make this page and I understand it is not ready for the main space but I believe it has some content that is useful for my editing. Czarking0 (talk) 19:35, 12 April 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Czarking0 I just replied to the REFUND request about it asking the CSD tagger and deleting admin to comment. The original report was wrong so if they do not respond with more issues I will refund to draft, but I will give them some time to respond. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 19:41, 12 April 2026 (UTC)
- @Czarking0 hopefully you saw the update at WP:RFU, just noting here to be sure. KylieTastic (talk) 22:29, 13 April 2026 (UTC)

News and updates for administrators from the past month (April 2026).

Interface administrator changes
- Changes to user permissions made from Meta are now included in the local user permissions log (T6055).
- The autoconfirmed user group will soon be modified such that the four-day account age requirement begins when an account makes its first edit (T418484).
- The arbitration case SchroCat has been opened. Evidence submissions in this case closed on 15 April.
- Per a recent motion, appeals of blocks from the conflict-of-interest VRT queue are, by default, appealed on-wiki through the normal unblock process. However, they may be heard by the Committee if COIVRTers disagree on the interpretation of the evidence or believe ArbCom would be better suited to hear the appeal. Administrators are also advised that loosening or lifting such blocks without the consent of someone with access to the queue or ArbCom can be grounds for desysopping.
- Per a recent motion, restrictions issued directly by the Committee may now be enforced with blocks which work exactly like contentious topic blocks.
- The arbitration case Maghreb has been closed.
- The May 2026 administrator elections are scheduled to run from April 29 to May 19. The call for candidates ends May 5.
- The 2026 Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C) election is scheduled to run from April 25 to June 1. Candidacy submissions close on May 10.
- A new noticeboard for non-urgent, batch page protection requests has been created, primarily for the enforcement of contentious topic restrictions.
Linking author in a citation
Hi, because the citation templates generate metadata (see Template:Citation#COinS), the name of the author should not be wikilinked in a citation. Instead, use |author-link= (and further numbered parameters with multiple authors). Peter coxhead (talk) 15:03, 6 May 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Peter, noted. That was one I think I had know but had forgotten. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 16:54, 6 May 2026 (UTC)
A kitten for you!
Vincelord
Thank you for the help. I've never been in a situation like this before and wasn't sure how to go forward.Vincelord (talk) 14:48, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
- After being told not to forum shop you continue at the helpdesk with an edit reverting to your old version from 23 April 2026 removing all the current requests. You are not helping your case by making more mistakes. You have posted at ANI and submitted a unblock request so just stop and wait for others to reply. KylieTastic (talk) 15:29, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
- I don't know how that happened. I was merely asking a question. Vincelord (talk) 17:23, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
- Vincelord, look at your edit here you did not merely add a new question you edited a version of the page from 23 April 2026 and so reverted to that version plus your question. As it was several hundred edits back I don't know how you did that by mistake unless you had a link to that edit you made and started from that, but even then if you start editing an old page it has a banner that states "You are editing an old revision of this page. If you publish it, any changes made since then will be removed. You may wish to edit the current revision instead". KylieTastic (talk) 17:48, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
- I added my question to the bottom of the page I don't know how that could have happened. I was only trying to get help to appeal the block. but it seems all I've done is make things worse for myself. Vincelord (talk) 17:51, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
- I understand that being blocked is stressful, I would recommend taking a break and coming back calm to stop any more inadvertent errors. It's much easier to make mistakes when stressed/upset etc and being able to step away and come back when ready is a good skill for all editors to learn. You have an unblocked request and multiple other posts give others time to respond (looking at Star Mississippi's activity they are likely not to be about for several more hours). KylieTastic (talk) 18:14, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
- You are right. When I was blocked I got very upset and stressed and the edits I made today are the result of that. After this edit I will step away from editing to calm a bit and give others the time to review my request. Vincelord (talk) 18:34, 12 May 2026 (UTC)

Draft
please see the pages that you made draft section as the references are added ~2026-29182-15 (talk) 07:01, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
- Guessing as too the drafts you mean, they are submitted for review so will be reviewed by someone and either accepted or feedback given. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 08:21, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
Please remove their talk page access, they are using it for personal attacks on you. ☾⟣✦Inzessin✦⟢☽(talk) 18:19, 16 May 2026 (UTC)

Draft:Avril Herng
Regarding Draft:Avril Herng, a user blanked the draft but I realise now that they were not the original creator, (does that matter?) there seems to be an organised group of connected editors trying to promote Herng. The original creator was blocked because of their user name. Theroadislong (talk) 11:40, 24 May 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Theroadislong, the actual creator Avril Herng is blocked and also only edited that article about the subject and it was so clear promotional even I would have deleted it as a G11 anyway. As such I took as view that only the current majority editor counted. Either editor could ask for a REFUND so no big deal anyway. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 12:00, 24 May 2026 (UTC)
Page spans
On this edit of yours: Until recently, I too would have taken the trouble to change pages=177-208 to pages=177–208 within a citation template. But then I realized that the former anyway ended up displayed (for the reader of the article) as the latter. (Unless my eyes were/are deceiving me.)
Incidentally, though I've made numerous minor improvements to that article, I'm very aware that major problems remain -- notably, that very little that's directly about its subject is cited from independent sources. -- Hoary (talk) 22:02, 25 May 2026 (UTC)
- That was an error on my part, I try not to make changes like that which are purely technical and not visible (or minimally visible). I blame the 30+ degree heat that we are just not used to here in the UK. KylieTastic (talk) 22:59, 25 May 2026 (UTC)
- So it's distinctly warmer where you are than here in the notorious hothouse of Tokyo! Yes, what would be acceptable for August is not acceptable in May. -- Hoary (talk) 11:22, 26 May 2026 (UTC)
Dorniford, Somerset
Hi, the reason for the speedy deletion request is that there is no such place. There was a wartime army camp there named after a nearby beach. The camp is now holiday camp. The local tourist steam railway has opened a request stop to serve the camp. That's all there is, no village, no settlement as such. It is one IP user's obsession that such a place should exist. Murgatroyd49 (talk) 12:24, 30 May 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Murgatroyd49, odd because on google maps I can see a place labelled Doniford, with a road "Doniford Rd", and street signs marking when entering the village boundaries such as this and this, and places like https://donifordfarmpark.com/ lists their address as in Doniford. Lastly Williton Parish lists "the coastal village of Doniford" on its website https://www.willitonparishcouncil.org/about-williton-parish/ Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 12:34, 30 May 2026 (UTC)
Administrators' newsletter – June 2026
News and updates for administrators from the past month (May 2026).

- Following an RfC, the "persistent usage of large language models" has been included as a common reason for a block.
- Mandatory 2FA for bureaucrats: Bureaucrats without two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled have already lost access to their advanced rights on 26 May. Those who do not enable 2FA may be automatically removed from the groups in mid-June 2026, and from that point onward, new members must have 2FA enabled before they can be added. (T423119, T423120)
- The arbitration case SchroCat has been closed.
- The arbitration case Michael Jackson has opened. Evidence submissions in this case closes on 1 June.
