Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Frances Widdowson, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

Correction of the two issues with the Raymond Torres-Santos article
editOn December 8 of last year I sent the following to you:
"I would like to add some current information to the article about Puerto Rican-American composer Raymond Torres-Santos. The article has multiple issues, i.e., that it is written like a resume and it is an autobiography.
I am particularly perplexed regarding the resume issue as the article does not in the least seem to be written like a resume and it resembles dozens (hundreds?) of articles on Wikipedia wherein that issue is not indicated.
As for being an autobiography, I do see some edits attributed to Rtorress but the majority of edits are by others. I would like to remove these messages and add some current information. As such, please let me know what changes I can do to remove the messages.
Thank you."
I would like to make updates to the Torres-Santos article AND remove the messages. Please advise.

editLifeboat Pages
editI don't profess to be an expert with Wiki. I've learned by copying what was there already, and what looks presentable.
In the two+ years I have been creating articles, one thing has become clear. For every rule, there is a counter rule. What suits one set of circumstances doesn't always fit another. As per WP: Principle, Wiki Rules are principles, not laws.
I believe it is perfectly acceptable to maintain a style over an article, or over a set of articles.
Edit warring over style, or enforcing optional style in a bot-like fashion without prior consensus, is disruptive and is never acceptable.[a][b]
Unjustified changes from one acceptable, consistently applied style in an article to a different style may generally be reverted. Seek opportunities for commonality to avoid disputes over style.
There are over 200 Lifeboat pages, all primarily of the same format. So it would be appreciated if you desist from any further amendments.

Estimated sign
editWhy do you seem so determined that the short description for Estimated sign should not show the actual sign? Whether it is for a search or an annotated link, it is the most critical item of information, the one that shows the reader that this is the relevant article. Wikipedia:Database reports/Short descriptions containing possibly invalid characters is to identify errors: this is not an error. 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 13:08, 30 March 2026 (UTC)
- The symbol looks like an "e", quacks like an "e" and so will be seen as an "e". It is uninformative, redundant and actively misleading to include the Unicode symbol in the SD. Better to say "stylised e", since that is true. Also, nobody will search for the symbol by inputting the Unicode character — GhostInTheMachine talk to me 11:39, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
- No, is not any old e, it is a very specific symbol with statutory significance that must be drawn exactly as shown (it is not a representative glyph). Your logic would have £ as just another L, $ as just another S and € as just another E and the CE marking as just another digraph. That ℮ happens to have a unicode codepoint is entirely incidental. 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 12:04, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
- And (a) it is entirely credible that someone would copy an ℮ and paste it into a search, to find out what it means and (b) [for what must be the thousandth time], SDs are not just for searches! 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 12:09, 1 April 2026 (UTC)

editEditor retention - river articles
editThanks for your edits & suggestions in List of rivers by discharge. FYI: the editor that re-built that list article is relatively new to Wikipedia. They are very passionate about rivers ... since they started working in WP about a year ago, I think 100% of their work has been on gathering cites & updating river statistics (length, discharge, etc). I cannot imagine how many hours they've invested. They are coming to the end of their work on List of rivers by discharge, I think, so I was exploring how to steer them over to List of rivers by length ... so they could apply their research in a 2nd list. I'm trying to give them ideas about different approaches, tools, and guidelines, so they learn more about WP. Regarding Editor Retention: If you could help encourage this editor, that would be great. If I make a dumb suggestion on the Talk page, of course you should point that out. But perhaps you can formulate comments in a way that makes the new editor feel more welcome? I believe that English is not their first language, and I know they are very new to WP guidelines etc. They may feel more welcome if they see comments like: "Let's explore ways to get your research into the Length list. Here are some options, with the pros and cons...". After all, we are competing against Grokipedia now, so every new WP editor is valuable :-) Noleander (talk) 17:50, 1 April 2026 (UTC)

In regards to the [expert needed] template being removed from the multiple issues template, this was because the concerns listed on the talk page were raised at the same time that that was placed and, as this was remedied, it seemed appropriate to remove this however I now realise that that was also in reference to the 'excessive detail' which I apologise for but I still don't quite understand your reason for reverting the change to the short description. I typically don't touch short descriptions but it seemed appropriate to, considering the concerns raised Re. unclear/overlapping scope (see talk) to help further distinguish this from Nasal Administration. psychotropic drug administration through the nose
