National varieties of English

edit

Information icon Hello. In a recent edit to the page Bluey: The Videogame, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the first author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Please see MOS:RETAIN, MOS:DATERET, etc. Changing date formats, spelling, and such is disruptive. Please also do not add unsourced game engines. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:59, 16 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Your submission at Articles for creation: Alpine A524 (May 3)

edit
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Robert McClenon was:
Thank you for your submission, but the subject of this article already exists in Wikipedia. You can find it and improve it at Alpine A524 instead.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Two copies of this page have been created, in draft space and in article space. It is not necessary to create two copies of the same page, and it annoys the reviewers. This is sometimes done in order to bypass Articles for Creation review. However, if a submitter is ready to have the article in article space, it can be moved into article space, rather than creating a copy. It is common for a page that has been duplicated in draft space and in article space to be nominated for deletion or proposed for deletion.

If the article is kept, this draft should be redirected to the article. If the article is deleted, this draft may be kept for future improvement.

This draft is either essentially the same as the article with the same name, or a subset of the article with the same name. The draft will be replaced by a redirect from draft space to the article.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Track changes

A track being fully resurfaced is not a track change. This can be a procedure carried out ahead of a Grand Prix weekend annually. A track change is the addition/removal/modification of a turn, as well as DRS data on track modified, or starting grid position moved and so on.Island92 (talk) 23:12, 31 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

About your edit to List of Bluey characters

edit

Good afternoon. I understand that, traditionally, Ludo Studios has refused to publish information about its child voice actors. That is its right to do so, and I am not challenging this position. However, Wikipedia does not remove reliably sourced information just because its subject or other organisation has policies for secrecy regarding it. The relevant quote is Some organizations' rules or traditions call for secrecy with regard to certain information about them. Such restrictions do not apply to Wikipedia, because Wikipedia is not a member of those organizations; thus, Wikipedia will not remove such information from articles if it is otherwise encyclopedic.

Even considering this, it would usually be unencyclopedic to guess child actors. After all, they usually can't be reliably sourced. Charlotte Stent is an exception in that coverage for her involvement in Bluey can be found, and she outs herself on her own Instagram page, among others. This means that it's encylopedic to cover her given that we can find sourcing to prove thus, and thus the information must be retained in the article per WP:NOTCENSORED regardless of Ludo Studios policy.

Thank you. Regards, User:TheDragonFire300. (Contact me | Contributions). 00:56, 2 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

"The Weekend" is the 6th episode of the first series of the Australian animated television program Bluey, and the 6th episode overall. It first aired on ABC Kids in Australia on 6 October 2020. The episode involves Bluey and Bingo as they play magical statues with Bandit and Bingo finding a leaf insect in the garden.
The episode was animated by Brisbane's Ludo Studio and was directed and written by series creator Joe Brumm. The episode is notable for being the first episode produced due to it being based on the 2017 pilot that was showcased at the Asian Animation Summit and was green-lit by ABC and BBC executives.
Plot
As Bingo eats breakfast with Bandit one weekend morning, Bluey brings in a pretend letter for her dad with a claw hand, with a drumstick inside the envelope - an impromptu jam session ensues. Chilli heads off on a run while Bandit attempts to settle down in front of the TV to watch Cricket. However, with kids climbing all over him, he admits defeat and joins in with the game of "Statues". Shortly after commencement, however, Bandit pauses the game to go to the bathroom, with the girls joining him in there. After unpausing the game, Bluey, being the shopkeeper, sells Bandit what she says is a non-magical statue (Bingo). While Bandit goes to get his change, the "statue" moves places but Bluey just tells him he's "probably just going crazy or something". The "magical statue" then moves outside and the girls play a game of ding-dong-dash/knick-knocking on Bandit until he catches them at it, and chases them around the garden.
The girls separate, and Bingo heads to the back garden, where she discovers a leaf insect. She tries to get her father's attention to show him the leaf bug, but he is too busy chasing the "shopkeeper" to get back his money. Eventually, the bug flies off just as Chilli returns from her run, and the three find Bingo waving into the sky. Later that day, the girls have their bath and brushed their teeth. Chilli is tucking the girls in and, upon finding Bingo sad in her bed, calls for Bandit to come into the room. He apologises to Bingo for not hearing her, with him and Bluey recounting their day with the crazy "statue". Bingo cheers up and tells them she was the statue after all. Shortly afterwards, the girls go off to sleep happily.

I can do that when I get back Dusty Kelpie (talk) 13:40, 16 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hello, Dusty Kelpie,
I thought I'd let you know that GucciGang17 no longer exists, their username was changed to User:Renamed user 3a5e454fb90bfe225ef1881a41d18da0 and they are globally locked. This username switching is going on with several accounts whose editing is focused on the TV series Bluey. I'm not sure what exactly is going on and whether this is one editor playing games or multiple editors. I have reverted several of their efforts because I had questions about whether or not they were trolling but you are free to undo my reverts. But it seems like this account was really bossing you around and you were very accommodating to them. I wouldn't be surprised if they reappear as an IP account or another registered account. Liz Read! Talk! 03:24, 18 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
Ah, gotcha - I'll admit, I walked right into that one lol

I had suspected something was going on when a different user account was also locked. Seems pretty suspicious if I may be honest... I honestly felt there was a bit about notability being totally missed here, as I feel there are some, but not all, that deserve pages. Sure, Bluey is popular, but sometimes, you're better off looking to external sources for more information (say, the Bluey wiki or official site).

Also, hunch time, but I feel it's one editor through numerous accounts. Look at the Cricket (Bluey) page's history - a renamed account, much like Gucci here, created the page, then dipped right after? That's too much of a coincidence, I feel...

Which pages have you reverted specifically? So I can determine what exactly to undo and what to keep.
TIA - Dusty Kelpie (talk) 05:42, 18 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
Oh hey, I am the person who formally was Gucci's account, I have to say that the reason that I did those things was because the first renamed account that edited the pages has been active for five years but I wanted to quit and so I did it. But I wanted to create more articles and I created a second account to do it but I wanted to quit again and so I quit for a second time.
I wanted to quit because I have been using Wikipedia for half a decade and I wanted to quit to focus on other things and I the Bluey-related edits to be my "last hurrah". But I felt compelled to edit some more and that's how I ended up in this situation. This is my last account that I would be using and I'm mainly using it to reply to you. SmashStar01 (talk) 04:32, 31 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
As someone who was formally GucciGang17, I was being completely sincere and not trolling. I locked my two previous accounts due to personal circumstances because I wanted to focus away from Wikipedia and wanted the Bluey-related edits to be my "last hurrah".
The reason why I did those things anyway was because I was into Bluey for some time but I wanted to end the interest because I felt like I was a bit into it and then I found out that several notable episodes didn't have Wikipedia pages and I decided on creating some for several episodes. This is my last account that I would be using and I'm mainly using it to reply to you. SmashStar01 (talk) 04:35, 31 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hiya! Thank you for your contributions to Charles Leclerc. Just so you're aware, I'm not trying to unwrite your edits, but having a 40-word prose for every non-noteworthy qualifying session would push the article way beyond the limits of WP:TOOLONG, which is why there are often 2–3 Grands Prix per sentence—trying to keep this season under 400 words, currently on 208. In an article of this length, concision is more powerful than added detail. MB2437 02:29, 6 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Just a note on this; I was borderline on whether it qualifies for its own article or if it should be added to the 'Cancelled races' section of the 2026 F1 World Championship article. I decided there's probably enough that can be said about the topic for it to qualify for an article so I published it but we'll see what other editors think.
Just wanted to give you a heads up as it might get a merge to.
