Your draft article, Draft:This Is My Dinner

edit

Hello, Donteatpigs. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "This Is My Dinner".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the db-afc, db-draft, or db-g13 code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 09:20, 9 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Track listing template warning – only use it where it makes sense and adds value

edit

Hi Donteatpigs. I've reverted you a few times and left comments in my edit summaries, but I'm noticing a pattern of behavior that needs addressing on your talk page now. You seem to be combing through every single album article on Wikipedia and converting tables or numbered lists to the Track listing template. According to WP:ALBUMSTYLE § Track listing, which is a guideline based on community consensus that users are expected to follow unless they have a valid reason not to, "A track listing should generally be formatted as a numbered list [...] In more complicated situations, a table or the Track listing template may be a better choice." In most of the articles on my watchlist that you've edited, they haven't been "more complicated sitations" that warranted the use of the template. The template, when not fully utilized and only including the title and track length, puts about 9 inches of useless completely blank space on a standard widescreen monitor (which most readers will likely have) between the song title and track length. This unnessecary blank space is not very helpful for readers and can make it difficult to easily read this information. Please refrain from adding the template to articles where it doesn't add much value. For example, this edit doesn't add anything to the article, but the use of the template at My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy § Track listing offers a very clean and organized way to sort a ton of information that would otherwise look very clunky in a numbered list. Let me know if you have any questions! Fezmar9 (talk) 19:52, 5 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at The Things We Carry, you may be blocked from editing. Fezmar9 (talk) 21:36, 7 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

In response to this sarcastic nonsense, as outlined above, use of the Track listing template has a specific function that was decided through community consensus. There is no standard requiring it to be added to all articles, the community has decided a numbered list makes the most sense for simple track listings, and adding it in an ordinary situation where most of the additional fields aren't used adds a lot of unnecessary blank space. It would be like adding

this much unnecessary blank space in the middle of this discussion—it's a hinderance to readers and an unwanted eyesore. If you feel differently, please start up a discussion at WT:ALBUM. Fezmar9 (talk) 16:13, 13 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of 2025 albums. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Note that you have been reverted three times, and that WP:3RR says that you'd be over the line with one more, so please read the explanation I left in my last edit and keep it in mind if you intend to make your edit a fourth time. I'VE BEEN BLOCKED... AGAIN.

edit

I got unfairly blocked from editing because someone cannot accept that they added the wrong label for the release of Creeper's new album "Sanguivore II: Mistress of Death" on the page "List of 2025 albums". I edited the section to add the correct label (Spinefarm Records), but it kept being changed to the band's former label (Roadrunner) because the source announcing the album incorrectly said it was being released through Roadrunner. So I've been blocked not for adding "unsourced content", but for fixing an error somebody doesn't want to admit they made. Donteatpigs (talk) 15:55, 27 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Decline reason:

You claim below (instead of inside the unblock request, where it belongs) that you haven't been adding unsourced content. But you clearly have. That you now are providing your source for the information is not relevant. You are required to do so at the time you are making the edits. As you don't seem to realise that yet, we cannot lift the block. Yamla (talk) 16:54, 27 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I did not add unsourced content. The Wikipedia entry for Creeper's new album lists the album's correct record label of Spinefarm Records. I understand the confusion over labels since this source (https://www.kerrang.com/creeper-announce-new-album-sanguivore-ii-mistress-of-death-dropping-on-halloween) incorrectly states it is being released through Roadrunner, but it really is being released through Spinefarm Records. I have provided another source that lists the correct label as well, here: (https://bravewords.com/news/creeper-to-release-sanguivore-ii-mistress-of-death-album-in-october-blood-magick-its-a-ritual-video-streaming/) I will refrain from adding unsourced content in the future, and will do a better job of finding sources. I want to be given a chance to learn from this mistake. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanguivore_II:_Mistress_of_Death Donteatpigs (talk) 16:02, 27 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

I'll also note your unsourced editing has been going on for well over six years, and two previous blocks failed to change your approach. --Yamla (talk) 16:55, 27 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I understand the reasoning. But does the block HAVE to be indefinite? Donteatpigs (talk) 17:04, 27 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
Yes. Previous blocks had no effect. You will remain blocked until you convince us you understand what was wrong with your edits (unlike the above request) and commit to properly citing (WP:CITE) using reliable sources (WP:RS) all your future, non-trivial, edits. Remember, indefinite is a different word than infinite. --Yamla (talk) 17:06, 27 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
I promise you I will properly cite AND use reliable sources. There was no need for me to engage in an edit war like that whatsoever. I should not have continued spamming unsourced edits over and over (and come to think of it, I could have just used my source from my first unblock plea the first time around). I assure you that I will learn from these mistakes, because I enjoy editing Wikipedia and don't want to end up being blocked permanently. Donteatpigs (talk) 17:09, 27 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
Make a new unblock request and a different admin will review it. You'll also need to explain how we can trust you now, when six years and two previous blocks failed to change your behaviour. I'm not trying to be mean, it's just that this is what the next reviewing admin will need to be convinced about. --Yamla (talk) 17:14, 27 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I'll take some time before I make a new unblock request. Thank you and have a good rest of your day Donteatpigs (talk) 17:33, 27 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I have taken a few days to think about the actions I took that got me blocked from editing. I realize that my adding of unsourced content was irresponsible, and it was an especially poor decision on my part to continue adding said content when it would not have taken me five minutes to find a source that properly backed up my edit, particularly since I have been blocked before for the same reasons I am blocked now. I should have learned my lesson the first time I was blocked; I am willing to take responsibility for the actions that got my editing privileges blocked, and I will make absolutely certain to source my content whenever I need to edit something. There was no need for me to get into an edit war over a record label. I am sorry for my editing behavior, and I will not add unsourced content again.Donteatpigs (talk) 21:42, 1 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

This unblock request has been declined due to your history of vandalism and/or disruption to this encyclopedia. However, we are willing to give you another chance if you can earn back the trust of the Wikipedia community. To be unblocked you need to demonstrate and confirm that you are willing and able to contribute positively to Wikipedia.

After you have read the rules, pick any article on Wikipedia that you want to improve. If you have trouble choosing an article, there are lists under Category:Articles needing cleanup.

Once you have decided on the article you will propose improvements to:

  1. Click the Edit tab at the top of that article;
  2. Copy three or four paragraphs of the article that you want to improve.
    • Do not copy the infobox (...).
    • Do not copy any images or files ().
    • Do not copy the article's categories from the bottom of the page ().
    • Do not copy the stub tag (Topic name stub).
  3. Click edit on your talk page and create a new section using this format: == Article title ==. Paste the text that you copied underneath. Do not save yet.
  4. Place reflist-talk at the end of the copied text.
  5. Place your cursor in the edit summary box and create an edit summary in the following format: Copied content from Name of Article; see that article's history for attribution.
  6. Save the page by clicking Publish changes.
  7. Edit the section you have copied. Propose adding new information to the article. Add inline citations to reliable sources that verifies the information. We are not looking for basic typo corrections or small additions without citations.
  8. When you are done with your work, save your edits. Then create a new unblock request using and an administrator will review your proposed edits.

If we (including the original blocking admin) are convinced that your proposed edits will improve Wikipedia as an encyclopedia, you will be unblocked.

If you need help while working with your proposed edits, you may ask a question on this talk page. Just place Help me with your question below it, then add your signature using ~~~~. Thank you. PhilKnight (talk) 02:46, 3 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
