Matrix Revolutions
Hi there. Thank you for reviewing my edits to the plot of the Matrix Revolutions. If I may, I do believe you have made a mistake. My edits resulted in the plot summary being 707 words in length, whereas the pre-existing version is 698 words in length. I would not consider this very small expansion to be 'a significant amount of unnecessary detail'. Many of my edits were for clarification, not new content.
If you like, I can re-apply my edits but also trim some pre-existing detail that I think was unnecessary. This will keep the plot summary length to pretty much what it is right now.
Kind regards, Gfoxwood (talk) 22:06, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for reaching out to me. WP:FILMPLOT recommends that the plot summary not exceed 700 words, so while your edit was relatively small, it did push the summary beyond the recommendation. You're welcome to refactor it in a way that still keeps the summary at a maximum of 700 words. Hope this helps! DonIago (talk) 23:41, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you, yes that does help! I'll do that Gfoxwood (talk) 01:18, 22 December 2025 (UTC)
- Awesome; thanks for understanding where I was coming from. Happy editing! DonIago (talk) 01:20, 22 December 2025 (UTC)

According to your revert here, that was uncalled for. Tara Strong was NOT the main star of Futurama. And anyway, she doesn't deserve the top billing at all because she only guest star. Therefore, you need to provide source or otherwise. The best you could've done is just remove the two links instead of reverting it. - Fair enough that I made a minor mistake in my edit, but I'm not sure why you felt the need to come here and get confrontational about it versus just fixing it. I also would have accepted coming here and asking me about it instead of being adversarial. Cheers. DonIago (talk) 02:39, 11 January 2026 (UTC)

SOS Titanic edits
I have watched SOS Titanic for the first time, and have looked up various sources or reviews to improve the article in any way. One review mentions how Ismay's characterization in the film is more sympathic than how he is usually potrayed as. The reviewer also notes that Molly Brown's boat revolt is less glorified with her ultimately being told to sit down in her sit, much to her disgust. Of course, I would not mind if you were to help write my words better as how I have put them. Interesting how Cloris Leachman potrayed Brown previously before the 79 film. ~2026-35756 (talk) 20:57, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
- If that review is from a reliable source then I think including it would be better than making the statements without providing backup. I watched SOS Titanic a handful of times as a child (well before the Cameron film was released). I now have it on Blu-ray (thanks Kino Lorber!), but haven't yet gotten around to doing a rewatch. Probably this April. ;) DonIago (talk) 21:26, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
I watched it on Amazon Prime; it is the shortened version, rather than the longer version. It definitely is a flawed film but I think it had some potential. SOS Titanic is a mixed bag, overall: it takes both good and not so good approaches with its characters and story, but it feels like a rushed film, no matter what version you watch. Still, it’s worth a look if you have an interest. ~2026-35756 (talk) 21:29, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
- I wouldn't have bought it if I didn't want to (technically re-)watch it. :) I was pleasantly surprised to find out it includes a commentary track. DonIago (talk) 21:36, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
By the way, could you remove my sentence "this film offers a less heroic image of Brown" from both "SOS Titanic" and "Margaret Brown" articles; I realise "less heroic" implies that the character would be played more villainous; in SOS Titanic, what happens is that Brown does not succeed in trying to convince others to try to row back to pick up survivors. I probably could have wrote something that made more sense, like, how one of the reviews I cited describes the potrayal of Ismay and Brown in 79: "Perhaps the most striking deviation from other Titanic films is the depiction of J. Bruce Ismay (Ian Holm)... when Captain Smith suggests increasing the Titanic's speed for the Line's benefit, it's Ismay who vetoes the idea, insisting that the ship's safety comes first. Further, the film takes a somewhat nonjudgmental approach to Ismay's last-minute decision to save himself. Similarly, the courage of "Unsinkable Molly" Brown (Cloris Leachman) is downplayed here. In other films, aboard Lifeboat 6 she pressures crewmen to go back to save dozens of others in the freezing water, where here her pleas are stely overruled... ~2026-35756 (talk) 21:35, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
- It would look better if you reversed your own edits, really. I'm also about to be AFK for a few hours. If you'd still rather I take care of it, drop me a message here and I'll get to it sometime in the next 24 hours. DonIago (talk) 21:37, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
20,000 leagues edits
I understand that the plot revise was too long but I feel the description of Nemo's change of heart, to make amends is described differently from the film; Nemo sneers at Aronnax's diary depiction of Ned as a hero; saying he will gladly undo it the next. ~2026-35756 (talk) 16:38, 18 January 2026 (UTC)
- It's not up to you to unilaterally decide to ignore WP:FILMPLOT. A better option would have been to discuss the matter at the article's Talk page so that other editors could weigh in as well. You're still welcome to do that if you feel an exemption to FILMPLOT is merited, or you can make other edits to the plot summary to keep it under 700 words. DonIago (talk) 16:45, 18 January 2026 (UTC)
By the way, having watched this film again, I realized something; the three guys are still on a rowboat in the middle of the Pacific, so unless some ship comes their way, they are bound to die (and those ships were destroyed in the explosion, so perhaps Ned did not mankind a service anyway! :)) ~2026-35756 (talk) 16:52, 18 January 2026 (UTC)
- Being stranded in a rowboat on any ocean is probably not a great idea, heh. DonIago (talk) 16:58, 18 January 2026 (UTC)
