Moving a ref

The first word in the lead is followed by an explanatory footnote, that states the service is often abbreviated as "IG, Insta, or the Gram", which is followed by a reference that starts "For example:" and then mentions a book, and includes a quote parameter that reads: "Instagram (IG) is a photo sharing app created in October of 2010 allowing users to share photos and videos." In my opinion, this reference should be moved to follow "IG" in the explanatory footnote, as it specifically sources abbreviation "IG", and not "Insta", or "the Gram". --62.166.252.159 (talk) 09:22, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
- We are probably better off just adding further sourcing if that's what's needed. For example, https://www.bbc.com/news/newsbeat-49445005 uses the phrase "the gram" meamemg (talk) 15:05, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
Done and I also added additional references for the other names. cyberdog958Talk 03:19, 23 June 2025 (UTC)
- Nice. Thanks. --62.166.252.159 (talk) 15:38, 26 June 2025 (UTC)

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Charliehdb (talk) 13:13, 30 July 2025 (UTC)

This page lacks in-depth analysis of it's toxicity, especially about it's host of hate speech content
As the title suggests, this page lacks in-depth analysis of it's toxicity, especially about it's host of hate speech content. Please expand it and for homophobic content, it's not just in India where it's widespread. Mtumkuuu (talk) 17:03, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Mtumkuuu please provide references and the changes you want to make and just not demanding others to do so. – robertsky (talk) 16:50, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
Split content to Censorship of Instagram and Censorship by Instagram
This article is very long, and should be reduced in size. I suggest we split some detailed content (summarizing it here) from the Instagram#Censorship_and_restricted_content to the articles on Censorship of Instagram and Censorship by Instagram. This would match what we have for other similar topics (ex. Censorship of Facebook and Censorship by Facebook, Censorship of Twitter and Censorship by Twitter, Censorship of TikTok and Censorship by TikTok, etc.) Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 14:01, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
