Overall: That's a cool baseball stadium! Newly created and well sourced. Each of the hooks look good. This should be good to go I think. BeanieFan11 (talk) 00:12, 6 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

ALT3: ... that after a football match between Wales and Yugoslavia in 1976, referee Rudi Glöckner(pictured) had to be escorted off the pitch by 16 police officers, while spectators threw beer cans at him? Source: BBC
Overall: Looks good. Nice work. Preference for the original hook. I also found it funny that the source for the hook states, "While it is not true—as Wikipedia claims—that the final was only the third international match he had ever officiated (it was actually his fifth), outside of his home country, Glöckner’s name was known in May 1970 in only one other place: the Netherlands." This would make a good special occasion hook for the World Cup final and is approved for then. BeanieFan11 (talk) 16:50, 2 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Overall: Initial comments: Pic is used in article, clear, and freely licensed. Article is new enough and long enough and QPQ has been satisfied. Further comments incoming. JJonahJackalope (talk) 01:26, 6 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Having gone through each hook, each one is properly cited, both in the DYK submission here as well as in the article. Additionally, all are interesting enough, with my personal preference being for the main hook. Ultimately, I see no reason not to approve this article. Overall: Article was nominated for DYK within 7 days after reaching Good Article status. Article is more than 1,500 words in prose and sourced. Article is newtral. Earwig reported an unlikely copyright violation of 18% which is attributed to a quote from GamesHub that is quoted and sourced properly. No QPQ needed as the nominator has less than 5 DYK nominations. There are a lot of good hooks. My choices would be ALT1, ALT2, ALT5, and ALT6, as they aren't very dependent on comments made by critics. I particularly like ALT6. lullabying (talk) 09:53, 6 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

ALT3: ... that it is believed that Faileuba was chosen to marry King Childebert II due to her low birth and lack of political connections that could undermine his mother? Source: p. 230 & pp. 14-15
Its new and large enough and sprinkled with worthy references. Its neutral and interesting and all of the proposed hooks are fine, cited and checked. I'd lose the last five words of Alt3 to reveal less (sadly hooks get changed after approval to reveal too much IMO). I suggest a hook that says "DYK that the nurse who cared for Queen Faileuba had her face disfigured?" might be more gruesome/hooky. Victuallers (talk) 13:43, 4 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

For me, I'd heavily prefer ALT1 to be approved, it's interesting and cited properly. Seeing this "However, DeRuyter criticized the first volume's lack of major unique non-yuri aspects and of the focus on the question surrounding the relationship's lesbian nature,[8] and Friedman's Okazu review criticized the limited presence of yuri in the first volume." just makes me surprised. Article seems to be in good shape with no surface-level issues. Arconning (talk) 00:50, 7 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

article recently brought to GA. In good shape. Well-sourced. Earwig clears. Hooks do not violate DYKFICTION, are sourced, and interesting. QPQ checks out. Good to go. ~Darth StabroTalk•Contribs18:59, 6 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Overall: Thank you for this crazy interesting hook. One of my favorite hooks to review ever. Article looks good. Nice work. I think this will be a very successful DYK. BeanieFan11 (talk) 20:38, 4 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
The article is easily new enough and long enough. It is well-written and fully sourced with citations to multiple different reliable sources (I'm not sure if I had heard of The Philadelphia Times before.. always fun to learn about old defunct papers). The hook fact checks out and appears in the article, as well as being sufficiently interesting. There are no identifiable copyvio issues (one source shows a 10% similarity score, but there's no violation). Last but not least, the double QPQs have been completed. Nice work! I see no major issues, so this looks good to go to me. JTtheOG (talk) 06:54, 6 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
... that when Chris Williams showed Queen Elizabeth II his church's narwhal tusk (pictured), she reportedly said that she had a longer one?
Source: "In 1994, Christopher escorted Queen ElizabethII during a visit to an Anglican cathedral in Iqaluit, where he showed her features of the building, including a narwhal tusk used in the cathedral’s cross. To this, Drew said, the Queen replied that Buckingham Palace had one that was longer and in better condition." The Record.com
ALT1: ... that Chris Williams became a missionary in the Canadian Arctic because he was curious about an igloo-shaped coin bank? Source: "His journey north began with what his son Drew described as a chance encounter in a student dormitory room, when he came across a handmade ceramic coin bank shaped like an igloo – a fundraising display for the Diocese of the Arctic. Christopher’s decision to ask what the coin bank was, Drew said, “ended up being either the stupidest or most significant question he would ever ask in his life.” That moment led to a deeper conversation about ministry in the North and the need for clergy in isolated communities. Moving away from plans for a career in advertising, he instead immersed himself in northern culture, becoming fluent in Inuktitut and later working alongside colleagues to translate portions of the Old Testament, helping to make religious texts more accessible in the language." (TheRecord.com
The article was expanded fivefold within a day of the nomination. It is well-written and fully sourced with citations to multiple sources. I think ALT0 is a fantastic hook. It's catchy, interesting, and humorous. Unsurprisingly, it also checks out and appears in the article. Lastly, there are no identifiable copyvio issues and the QPQs are done. This looks good to go. JTtheOG (talk) 07:20, 5 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Meets basic criteria - length, created in the last day, reliable sources, no apparent copyvios. My only concern is the structure of the article, which could give the impression that this is still a work in progress. The single sentence paragraphs are especially a concern, which is discouraged by MOS. For example, for the "Legality of same-sex sexual activity" paragraph, is there any information about the history of same-sex relationships in Santa Catarina between 1830 and 2013 that might be worthy of inclusion here? Or for the "Non-binary people" section, maybe some updates could be included. For example, is there any data for how many people in the state have been legally recognized as nonbinary since 2021? Or with regards to the transgender sports bill, maybe there is information about the background of this legislation and subsequent reactions and effects that would be worthy of inclusion. Just a few thoughts for potential improvements. Bneu2013 (talk) 23:27, 6 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
This should be fine, but I'd prefer a second opinion just to make sure this is adequate. I don't consider this to be a BCA in the same manner as some of the examples used in the guideline. Bneu2013 (talk) 00:41, 7 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Overall: @Darth Stabro: Promoted to GA status today and QPQ met. Really interesting hook (Sedevacantists are always fun). Image was properly uploaded to Commons and is a good. I made a few copyedits, but everything looks to be in line and I cannot find any major problems stopping this from becoming a DYK. I would advise in the future that you archive all of your links to prevent possible link rot. Jon698 (talk) 20:07, 6 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
