May 2017, separate agreement
editThe WP article affirms "A separate agreement established the terms of a long-term lease of land, facilities, and resources in Sevastopol and the Crimea by Russia.[citation needed] "
Posibly, it was the Partition Treaty on the Status and Conditions of the Black Sea Fleet, signed on May 28, 2017. But this is uncertain because the template:cn was added when the latter article just existed. The related description doesn't clarify if it is the thereaty to which the article is referred. English spelling
editThere is a section that states the alternate spelling "Sebastopol" comes from the similarity of the letters b and в. However, it actually comes from the Greek etymology of the word, from σεβαστός + πόλις, where the letter β is translated as b in English and в in Russian. As this is an extended protected page, I can't do anything about it, is there someone who would be willing to make this fix? Plexus96 (talk) 20:49, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
