Promotional content
edit@TheAnomynousEditor, multiple editors have reverted your edits to this article and I have tried communicating with you multiple times on your user talk page. The links and content you are trying to add are promotional and not encyclopedic, therefore they are against Wikipedia's guidelines and policies and should not be included in the article. Please discuss your desired changes instead of reinstating edits.
Also, it would be helpful to other editors if you included an edit summary. MossOnALogTalk 23:28, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
- @TheAnonymousUser please revert your most recent edit until a consensus is reached through discussion. MossOnALogTalk 23:30, 23 January 2026 (UTC)

Peer review
edit
I've listed this article for peer review because I want the article to be reviewed to find certain weaknesses and submit it to WP:GAN or WP:FAC and i want the River Ivel to have a high rating
Thanks, TheAnomynousEditor (talk) 16:01, 28 May 2026 (UTC)
- I will come back to this later today.
- I suggest that you look through Wikipedia for great articles about British rivers, and identify the editors who wrote those articles. Ask them if they can contribute here. Maybe they can identify some sources. Noleander (talk) 16:07, 28 May 2026 (UTC)

- It is best to concentrate all the discussions into one place. Either the article's Talk page, or here in the PR page (this PR page is not a Talk page). Because we've already created this PR page, and started a discussion, may as well use this PR page for all discussion of: "how to find sources and prepare the River Ivel article for Good Article nomination." - Does the article need new sections? TheAnomynousEditor (talk) 18:57, 28 May 2026 (UTC)
- You should seek-out editors that have created great UK geography articles, and ask them - they will have unique insights into the expectations of UK articles. All the UK river articles are listed at Category:Rivers of England by county. Many the Wikipedia Good Articles about rivers are at Wikipedia:Good_articles/Geography_and_places#Rivers,_streams_and_creeks ... but not all are there.
- You can look through Wikipedia:Good_articles/Geography_and_places and find good articles about UK, and then look in the articles talk page (or edit history) and find the editor that did the most work. Then post a note on their Talk page asking for help. Example: article St Catherine's Hill, Hampshire was made into a Good Article by User:Chiswick Chap, so you could ask that user about advice for how to make River Ivel into a Good Article, and also ask them for advice on finding UK sources.
