Elected representative section

edit

The Pirate Party of Iceland currently has six representatives in parliament and previously had 10. Given this success, is it maybe time to stop listing every elected representative?  Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.220.125.157 (talk) 19:16, 25 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Ideology and concept split

edit

The concept of a green party and the ideology of green politics have separate articles. Should the same be done for the concept of a pirate party and the ideology of pirate politics (right now pirate politics redirects to pirate party)? I'm aware that I'm replying many years after you wrote this, but I entirely agree. Pirate politics should have its own article separate from Pirate party. JasonMacker (talk) 22:22, 6 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Social Liberalism

edit

I am not sure if all Pirate Parties are inherently social liberal. There are too different alignments changing for the party. For example some members of Pirate Party of Turkey including one leader currently do entryism in Workers' Party of Turkey, a Marxist-Leninist political party. Also Pirate Party of Catalonia is led by an anarcho-communist. --Comrade-yutyo (talk) 11:52, 20 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Maybe this is debatable in a minority of cases but I think in the vast majority of cases Pirate Parties are typically socially liberal and I think this should be included amongst the list of ideologies. Helper201 (talk) 04:42, 21 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
Its really hard to define the overall Pirate Politics as such tho, because the first pirate party and several pioneers of the movement such as Falkvinge and Smári McCarthy have quite differing political views that shall collide with the majority of pirate parties including the current Pirate Party International cadres. I would say that Big tent is very good description of the political allignment of the movement. --Comrade-yutyo (talk) 09:12, 23 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Change Australia's election status colour

edit

Can someone please help change Australia to Aqua or whatever shade is being used for "Unregistered but active"? They have voluntarily deregistered from local elections. -- Tytrox (talk) 07:41, 3 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Tytrox, I would recommend posting your request here - Wikipedia:Graphics Lab/Map workshop. Someone there should hopefully be able to help fulfil your request. Helper201 (talk) 15:59, 3 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

"Some campaigns have included demands for the reform of copyright and patent laws." I honestly can't tell from this whether they're campaigning for a relaxation of restrictions on copying or for stronger restrictions. I can probably guess from the use of the word "pirate", but it would be good to have a bit more detail on the page. Jowa fan (talk) 09:56, 20 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
