"Source: Statements by a contemporary witness from Kitzeberg"

edit

Forgive me if I am wrong, but this citation does not sound like a verifiable source? I have a hard time imagining how someone would be able to double-check that what the witness said matches up with what the article says. There is no date or name given, after all. Is this taken from a newspaper article or something? I have a similar concern about the citation that reads "Testimony of a contemporary witness, 1979".
