Subject of article requesting review of reverted edits — citations provided
editProposed improvements to this article
editI am Charles Casper Peyton, known professionally as Jeff Stryker. I am the subject of this article and a registered Wikipedia editor (User:Charlescpeyton).
I have been making factual additions and corrections to this article which were reverted by User:7amithorn on May 6, 2026, with the summary "doesn't look constructive, and not cited."
I wish to address this directly:
1. The additions ARE cited. Sources include: — National Portrait Gallery, London (2009)
ISBN 978-1-85514-400-2
— Getty Images editorial archive — Women's Wear Daily (WWD) — Out magazine — Artforum (David Rimanelli, 2004) — CBS News San Francisco — Barbra Archives — The Rialto Report — Los Angeles Magazine (January 2004)
2. I am the subject of this article and am correcting factual inaccuracies and adding verified career information per WP:BLP.
3. The current opening line calling me "a pornographic actor" does not reflect the full scope of my career, which includes mainstream film, international theatre, worldwide fashion appearances, and recognition by the National Portrait Gallery, London.
I invite any editor to review my proposed changes and citations. I am happy to discuss any specific concerns on this Talk page before making further edits.

- You seem to be missing the part of WP:COI where you shouldn't be directly significantly editing an article about yourself, provided you really are who you claim to be. I strongly encourage you to review WP:COIEDIT. DonIago (talk) 02:57, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
Re: DonIago warning — Talk page comment removal explanation
editIn response to the warning posted by User:DonIago regarding my removal of a Talk page comment:
I removed an unsourced comment claiming I was married to a named private individual. The removal was made in accordance with WP:BLP and WP:BLPTALK, which state that contentious unsourced material about living persons — particularly regarding private personal matters — must be removed immediately from both articles and their Talk pages.
Specifically:
- The comment was entirely
unsourced — no reliable published source was cited
- It concerned my private
marital status which I have never publicly confirmed
- It named a private individual
without their consent
- My personal life has remained
entirely private throughout my career
I acted in accordance with Wikipedia's own BLP policy. I am happy to discuss this further with any editor on the Jeff Stryker Talk page.

Response to DonIago re WP:COIEDIT and trademark clarification
edit== Response to DonIago re WP:COIEDIT and trademark clarification ==
Thank you for this guidance. I have reviewed WP:COIEDIT and WP:COI.
I note that WP:COI states that editing one's own article is "strongly discouraged" but not prohibited — particularly when correcting factual inaccuracies or removing content that violates WP:BLP.
I would additionally note that Jeff Stryker is a registered United States trademark active since 1986, owned and controlled entirely by Charles Casper Peyton. As the trademark holder I am not merely the personal subject of this article but the legal owner of the commercial brand being described. This gives me unique and authoritative firsthand knowledge of the brand's commercial history, licensing agreements, production credits, and merchandise record that no other editor can possess or verify from published sources alone. I raise this not to claim editorial control — which I understand Wikipedia does not grant on this basis — but to establish that my contributions to factual accuracy regarding the Jeff Stryker brand are made from a position of unique verified knowledge, and that inaccuracies in this article have direct commercial implications for a registered trademark.
Going forward I am happy to use this Talk page to propose significant additions and request that neutral editors review and implement them. I will reserve direct edits for clear WP:BLP violations — such as the unsourced private life claim I removed — where Wikipedia policy requires immediate action.
I also wish to clarify my removal of the Talk page comment regarding my alleged marriage. That comment was:
- Entirely unsourced — no reliable
published source was cited
- About my private marital status
which I have never publicly confirmed
- Naming a private individual
without their consent
- In direct violation of
WP:BLPTALK which states that Talk pages must not contain material that would be inappropriate in the article itself
I have the following proposed additions to the article which I would like neutral editors to review and implement. All are fully cited from reliable published sources:
1. Film career section Addition noting cult film crossover recognition — Revenge of the Zombies and Can I Be Your Bratwurst Please — and Stryker's sustained support of the LGBTQ+ community throughout his career, and that Jaimie Loves Jeff helped launch Vivid Entertainment into a worldwide brand.
2. Wild Buck (1993) production Addition noting Stryker served as sole producer, director, cinematographer, editor, lighting director, and cover art designer for Wild Buck (1993), co-starring Trudy Grant (Miss Nude Illinois), which received an AVN Award nomination for Best Sex Scene — demonstrating his complete command of independent film production.
3. Music section date correction Wild Buck music release date should read 1993, not 1995, per Discogs confirmed recording date. Source: https://www.discogs.com/release/4741330-Jeff-Stryker-Wild-Buck
4. State Journal-Register citation The automobile accident citation currently reads |title=Accident report as a placeholder. The exact headline from the April 16, 1980 front page of The State Journal-Register, Springfield, Illinois is being obtained from Lincoln Library Springfield and will be provided for the citation as soon as confirmed.
5. Filmography additions
- Jaimie Loves Jeff 2 — missing
from heterosexual filmography
- Wild Buck (1993) — missing
from heterosexual filmography
- Milk and Honey (30 minutes) —
runtime to be noted
I am available to provide full citation details for any of these proposed additions on request and welcome any editor's assistance in implementing them.

- @Charlescpeyton About your comment "my contributions to factual accuracy regarding the Jeff Stryker brand are made from a position of unique verified knowledge..." -- Wikipedia doesn't allow information that isn't verified by a published source. This is done so that any reader can verify the information by checking the published source.
- I am sure that you would not make things up, but personal knowledge does not meet the requirement to have every fact in an article backed up by a published source.
- Hope this helps. David10244 (talk) 13:33, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Charlescpeyton if you think something on this page is a BLP violation, as you are the subject, you should not be making the edit yourself. With that being said, I think we have demonstrated that if you operate within the expected parameters (IE: raising the BLP vio either here or at BLP/N) neutral editors will engage and ensure such are handled in an appropriate fashion. Furthermore, if anything either on this page or on the live article page is egregious enough, certain admins may choose to execute a revision deletion which would make those edits unrecoverable by regular editors or readers.
- We do take BLP regulations very seriously. If you make the edits yourself it may ultimately slow our responses as people will start arguing about COI. If you bring edits to the attention of other editors here at talk or the appropriate noticeboard, that potential roadblock will be cleared and we will actually be able to respond more promptly. Simonm223 (talk) 13:41, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you, it is my intention to back everything up with factual evidence and a valid source, I thought I had. I added the Amsterdam stamp and the trademark (0ne of them) to the Wikipedia commons and I am catching on again, I have been out of the loop for a long time as you can see from a page that used to be so informative has recently been discovered to be reduced to "Jeff Stryker Pornographic actor". That doesn't even include greeting cards I am on https://www.redbubble.com/shop/jeff+stryker+greeting-cards let along the Realistic https://www.wweek.com/portland/article-1827-ride-em-porn-star.html (which as I say in fun) is impossible to hide ;-) Heh heh heh Well I am glad to say I am not "grandfathered in" on anything ;-) Youth reference joke. I appreciate your consideration and understanding while I work my way through this. Charlescpeyton (talk) 23:40, 11 May 2026 (UTC)

Following guidance from User:DonIago regarding WP:COIEDIT, I am posting my proposed revisions here for review and implementation by neutral editors rather than making direct edits myself.
I have prepared a complete revised version of this article incorporating:
- Corrected opening — actor, director, producer, entertainer — not "pornographic actor"
- Full Early Life section with sourced biographical detail
- Complete Cultural Impact section documenting AIDS benefit appearances, fashion, photography, and international appearances — all cited from NPG London, Getty Images, WWD, Out magazine, Artforum, and CBS News
- Removal of disputed Kulak's Woodshed section per WP:BLP — subject contests accuracy
- Removal of Traci Lords negative quote — undue weight given subject's full cultural record
- Corrected John Waters quote — Clark Gable not Cary Grant
- Balanced categories — mainstream film, theatre, music added
- LGBTQ identity categories removed per WP:BLPSEXUALITY — subject has never publicly self-identified
The complete revised article text with all citations is available. I am requesting that any neutral editor willing to review and implement these cited improvements please contact me on this Talk page.

- Hello @Charlescpeyton! Again, please do not use AI chatbots to generate text for Wikipedia or to communicate on talk pages. If you would like to propose changes, you will have better luck if you use this link, and include a specific "change X to Y" request with citations to one or more reliable sources. Without specific changes and reliable citations, your proposed changes are unlikely to be enacted. tony 16:48, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you, I saw the date (5.7.26) and was relieved because as you can see,m it is me without any AI assistance and unfortunately I see to be failing. I dont want to bury my adult history by any means as I came a long way from porn to Elton John Shows and mainstream motion pictures. I did accomplish more in the 40 years than the few years of work in adult movies. I grew out of that clothing fast ;-) Heh heh heh I hope humor is ok here. Anyway thank you I am checking this out more and trying to do it right and by the Wiki Book, your help is greatly appreciated. Charlescpeyton (talk) 22:26, 11 May 2026 (UTC)

- Hi Charles, I strongly encourage you to review Tony's note in response to the above thread and refactor this request accordingly. I don't think editors are likely to engage with a request when there are concerns that it was generated by an AI chatbot. Continuing to engage in this manner will, at best, damage your credibility and hinder any productive updates to this article.
- If you'd like to properly submit this as an edit request, you have my permission to delete this comment as part of refactoring this request. DonIago (talk) 17:00, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you, I am not sure if this was from the start of my attempts but I am doing this alone, trying to follow guidelines and examples etc and not using AI. I see the attempt to change my x to Y (the lead description of my 40 years of work summed up to what I did the first 3 years, failed. So I am working on that now. Thanks but I assure you, I am not using AI after the first warning and I think that is why I am not doing something right but I will get there. Thank you for your courtesy and understanding. Have a great one and I will be back!

- I've revised the article on the basis of the complaint raised at WP:BLP/N I'm no fan of LLM generated content but we should take BLP complaints very seriously and, on the merits, the three items raised at BLP/N seem appropriate to edit per the subject's request. I wasn't clear about the reason for the Traci Lords removal in my edit summary but it was obviously WP:UNDUE for a biography of a living person. Simonm223 (talk) 18:32, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
- Please excuse, I am stumbling my way around while in a learning curve. Thank you for the information and your patience while I catch on again. It is 100% my intent to follow current Wikipedia standards and improve my requests and communication accordingly. A lot has changed, it had been decades since I worked on Wikipedia.
- My goal is to ensure the article accurately reflects my full body of work using reliable, verifiable sources and share it with the world as fact. I will revise my proposed edits to better align with Wikipedia’s policies, including WP:BLP and WP:UNDUE. Again, please excuse as I attempt to fast track learn and any help you can provide is much appreciated.
- I appreciate the time taken to review and assist with these corrections. Charlescpeyton (talk) 02:44, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
Requested Edit, Introduction sentence alteration as introduction does not reflect Jeff Stryker's diverse career
editThis edit request has been answered. Set the |answered= parameter to no to reactivate your request. |

I am trying to comply with Wikipedia's editing requirements by requesting edits here rather than editing directly. I have put a great deal of time into this so it will be acceptable and done in a Wikipedia style format. I am also providing sources to expand the article’s scope to reflect the non-adult career milestones of the career of Jeff Stryker. I am Charles Casper Peyton, the subject of this article and the registered trademark owner of "Jeff Stryker" active in commerce since 1986. Jeff Stryker is a stage name I have used professionally since 1986 over the course of my entertainment career. The current introduction describes Jeff Stryker primarily as a pornographic actor, which does not fully reflect the scope of his career across film, theatre, television, fashion, music, and worldwide live performance. While Stryker became widely known through adult entertainment, his later work includes theatrical productions, international fashion appearances, mainstream film projects, television appearances and music releases. I am trying to correctly add some additional source links herein (please excuse if incorrectly added). Examples already mentioned within this article or available through reliable sources include: Off Broadway stage appearances and touring productions including "Ronnie Larsen's Peep Show" at "Actors Playhouse" in New York 1998: https://playbill.com/article/gay-porn-star-jeff-stryker-joins-the-boys-in-ny-peep-show-june-23-com-76167 https://playbill.com/article/larsens-peep-show-keeps-on-stryk-ing-to-july-19-com-76352 https://playbill.com/article/larsens-peep-show-will-strike-after-stryker-july-19-com-76531 Plus "Jeff Stryker Does Hard Time" (produced, directed and starred in by Jeff Stryker) and "A Sophisticated Evening with Jeff Stryker" (co-written by Bruce Vilanch). Mainstream and international film appearances including "After Death" (also released as Revenge of the Zombies and Zombi 4), "The Black Curse" with James Brolin, and Rosa Von Praunheim's "Can I Be Your Bratwurst, Please?". International fashion appearances for Thierry Mugler in Paris and at AIDS benefit events in Los Angeles. Performance at Elton John's Life Ball AIDS benefit in Vienna Austria. Cultural recognition is shown by the Hollywood Museum's "Idols of Gay Hollywood" exhibit, into which Paris Hilton and Jeff Stryker were both inducted. Also the inclusion in the book Gay Icons (National Portrait Gallery, London, 2009) demonstrates Stryker as a recognized Cultural figure. I'm asking that the introduction be brought in line with Wikipedia's treatment of other multifaceted entertainment figures whose careers extended beyond the genre that initially made them famous. An example is Sylvester Stallone, please note in his first four paragraphs there is no mention of the adult film he did in his earlier career. Suggested revised introduction: "Jeff Stryker (born Charles Casper Peyton, August 21, 1962) is an American actor, director, producer, and entertainer whose career has included film, theatre, music, fashion, and adult entertainment." I am happy to provide additional sourcing or discuss specific points individually if needed. Charles Casper Peyton (User:Charlescpeyton) | |

Not done. Wikipedia is written by human beings. Regardless, it's not clear what changes you want to make. See also the instructions at WP:COI. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 01:33, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Charlescpeyton can you provide reliable WP:SECONDARY sources that speak to the breadth of your career? We are aware that there are things you have done that are not pornography but we need a secondary source to establish their relevance to your biography. I note you mentioned Sylvester Stallone on my user talk page as he has done porn as well as other forms of film. In his case the relative significance of aspects of his career is established by the extensive coverage of those elements. Simonm223 (talk) 12:11, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
Secondary sources in response to Simonm223
editHello Simonm223 and Thank you,
I apologize about the delay, I wanted everything correct and added as many as I could find. Here are some examples beyond my adult career. With a start in adult films I felt it was the same way Stallone did is why I referenced his Wikipedia page. Adult was my foot in the door and the springboard to greater things. I am not trying to bury that history,I just want to List the credit that followed.
I was almost flattered that I was "thought a AI" until I saw I was squashed ;-)

Edit request, lead sentence change?
edit| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hello Simonm223, Thank you for the addition "as well as acting in
mainstream movies" but I was hoping to get all of the credits down, I must have done something incorrectly? Please excuse me if I did, I searched to see what I may have done wrong and I think I closed it too soon and my {{edit request}} didn't go before the four tildes? Again, I am catching up on 30 years of Wikipedia progress, please excuse.
I will now formally submit my proposed lead change as an edit request:
Current text: Jeff Stryker (born Charles Casper Peyton, August 21, 1962) is an American pornographic actor who has starred in bisexual, gay and straight adult films as well as acting in mainstream movies. He lives in California.

He lives in California.
I have already added the Sources for this description in my previous post dated 13 May 2026. Please let me know (if you would be so kind) what mistake sI may be maing or anything I need to do in order to comply with the rules, procedures etc.
This is just the first edit of many I want to make and then on into the following sections as I am starting at the top. And am I doing it correctly through the talk page? Thank you again!
Charles Peyton AKA Jeff Stryker (User:Charlescpeyton) Charlescpeyton (talk) 18:22, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Charles, I was looking at your lead sentence change request and have some thoughts. I think it should still start off with "American pornographic actor" rather than "American actor" based on the filmography currently listed on the page (36 porn-related films and 4 other/non-porn). I agree with adding "entertainer", and potentially adding "model" if we can find more references beyond being featured (I had only seen one, the portrait by Pierre at Gilles). For "producer" and "director", I would not add these unless there are verifiable sources listing you as such (This may exist already, I have not finished looking through all the links yet). For the "whose career spans..." part at the end, I think rather than being in the lead sentence this would be better in their own subcategories, in addition to or replacing the "selected filmography" section. From a reader's perspective this would help me see your full scope much better than the current "gay and solo", "straight", "bisexual", and "other/non-porn" subcategories.
- Please keep in mind I'm not as experienced as the other editors that have replied, I'm still looking through everything so I have not made any changes yet but wanted to give my thoughts for you and other editors to consider! :-) Rattusmischief (talk) 15:54, 18 May 2026 (UTC)
- My colleague Rattusmischief is correct in that any of these titles such as director and producer (or anything which the subject individual is not as well-known for) will need references to act as WP:V, which is a core content policy. I'm going to set the answer parameter of the request template to
|ans=yfor now until those references can be provided with this request. Regards, Spintendo 05:37, 13 June 2026 (UTC)
