Notability cleanup

edit

I see someone tagged this article with {{notability}}

If the article needs to be merged somewhere, it should be to Blue Origin landing platform (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views); converting that to a list article. -- 64.229.88.34 (talk) 06:25, 25 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Landing Platform Vessel 1Jacklyn (LPV1) – The WP:UCN common name is "Jacklyn". The vessel itself has the name "Jacklyn" painted on it. The televised coverage [Video on YouTube] of the first use of the barge used only the term "Jacklyn" to refer to this barge itself (as opposed to the type of barge it is). Thus, the article should be called "Jacklyn". Either Jacklyn (LPV1) or Jacklyn (barge) -- other ship articles have the form "Name (shipnumber)", so "Jacklyn (LPV1)" would be WP:CONSISTENT with other nautical articles -- ~2025-32349-50 (talk) 05:25, 22 November 2025 (UTC)  Relisting. Jeffrey34555 (talk) 18:52, 29 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

@~2025-32349-50 I agree. Company uses jacklyn name in communications. Ships is known as Jacklyn to the public. article name Should reflect that. ~2025-33411-43 (talk) 12:28, 24 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Support the intent, oppose the proposed name. LPV1 is very inside baseball. I’d go with "Jacklyn (barge)" or "Jacklyn (landing platform)". RickyCourtney (talk) 17:24, 24 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
It is how our nautical articles name such... like USS Enterprise (CV-6) and USS Enterprise (CVN-65). I don't mind either way. I am the nominator -- ~2025-32349-50 (talk) 07:10, 25 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
