Vollmer
editShouldn't there be at least a mention of August Vollmer, Berkeley's first police chief and an important figure in law enforcement? 70.36.136.182 (talk) 23:06, 20 May 2023 (UTC)
- I don't see much on the police force in general, and thus naming individual chiefs might be undue. Vollmer is definitely notable and is listed at List of people from Berkeley, California, which is linked to at the bottom of the article. At least there's that. Peralta Park Hotel
editI believe the Peralta Park Hotel was located where St.Mary's High School is currently sited. That site is outside the Berkeley city limits (demarcated by Codornices Creek in that area) in the City of Albany, although it probably had a Berkeley post office address as the school does today. I see no mention of the hotel in the text of the article beyond the brief caption of a photo. If the photo is to remain, the caption should mention something that contextualizes it with the history of Berkeley. Tmangray (talk) 05:04, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
