2026 Assam Legislative Assembly elections were held in Assam on 9 April 2026 to elect 126 members of the Assam Legislative Assembly . The votes were counted and the results were declared on 4 May 2026 by the Election Commission of India . The election results were a landslide victory for the NDA and recorded the lowest tally of seats ever won by the INC in the state.
