editShould this be Pak 38 or PaK 38? I've seen it both ways - see: Wikipedia:List_of_encyclopedia_topics_(53). Ash Lux 05:10, 28 August 2005 (UTC)
- PaK is correct. In German, substantives are spelled with a capital letter. PaK stands for PanzerabwehrKanone, hence PaK. 83.250.69.156 (talk) 07:44, 6 October 2025 (UTC)
PzKpfw III Gun
editThe PzKpfw III initially had a 37mm gun. The article says it was the short-barreled 5cm. The 5cm L/60 upgrade came for Barbarossa and use in North Africa. 2601:4C1:4180:2C00:207D:D9ED:ABC6:345 (talk) 15:42, 31 January 2025 (UTC)
Wrong use of caliber
editIs caliber in the context of artillery guns not bore/length , designated as L/[caliber]? So the 5.0 cm Pak38 L/60 would be caliber 60 (not 5) with a barrel length of 300 cm. 83.250.69.156 (talk) 05:15, 6 October 2025 (UTC)
