AGREE - There was a challenge for the America's Cup in 1914 and defender selection trials took place but the event was postponed due to the advent of WW1. Hence there was no defence of the America's Cup in 1914. It is very appropriate that the detail of the 1914 preparations are included in the 1920 article particularly as the challenger and nominated defender for the postponed 1914 event were the same boats which took part in the 1220 defence.
