death date of Öküz Mehmed Pasha
editEI2 death date: "the Sultan dismissed [Mehmed Pasha] and made ‘Ali Pasha Grand Vizier instead (16 Muharram 1029/23 December 1619). Oküz Mehmed's private property was confiscated and he himself banished from Istanbul with the appointment as Beglerbegi of Aleppo, and it was in that city that he died not long afterwards" (vol. 6, p. 999, https://archive.org/details/ei2-complete/Encyclopaedia_of_Islam_vol_6_Mahk-Mid/page/999/). One could argue about the meaning of "not long afterwards," but the date is definitely not Dec. 23, 1619.
TDV Islam Ans. date: "II. Osman’ın da uygun görmesiyle görevden alındı (16 Muharrem 1029 / 23 Aralık 1619). ... Halep beylerbeyiliğiyle İstanbul’dan uzaklaştırdı. Büyük maddî sıkıntılar içerisinde hasta olarak geçirdiği bir buçuk yıllık Halep beylerbeyiliği sırasında ... Çok geçmeden hastalığı ilerleyerek vefat etti" (https://islamansiklopedisi.org.tr/mehmed-pasa-damad). In English: relieved of duty Dec. 23, 1619, made beylerbey of Aleppo, served there for 1 1/2 years, died there.
