Request for Review

edit

I'm new here, and just did a copy edit of Audience (band). I didn't remove the tag that it requires copy-editing because I'm not sure if my changes were sufficient - I'd love any feedback on that! Also, if there are any edits I shouldn't have made (such as breaking up long sentences or removing double spaces after sentences), please let me know. Thanks in advance! Thank you for your help. Your edits look good for the most part. However, changing "Audience were..." to "Audience was..." is possibly a solecism by virtue of the band being English, where the plural is used even when the band name is singular, as opposed to American usage (compare Pink Floyd and Nirvana (band), both being featured articles of top importance and therefore exemplary, and where the usage seems to fall along MOS:ENGVAR lines). Also, I think that "electric nylon-strung acoustic guitar" should be "...nylon-string...", which is what I get when Googling. Question about bibliographies

edit

When listing an author's books, how are you supposed to handle 2nd editions? That is, if a book is released in 2001, with a revised edition in 2016, what's the entry supposed to look like? Mark Lilla is the article and The Reckless Mind is the book, for context. Thanks, Prezbo (talk) 15:18, 21 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

I think that date=2016 |orig-date=2001 |edition=Revised, within a cite book template, would work. Dhtwiki (talk) 05:44, 22 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Month-long May drive

edit

Hi, I’m a first-time participant in the May 2026 Backlog Elimination Drive and I’m a bit confused about where to find the eligible articles for the drive ("October 2024 – February 2025 backlog and March"). The Requests page doesn’t seem to have active listings. Will these be added later, or could someone point me to where I should be selecting articles? Thanks in advance for any guidance! Tioaeu8943 (talk) 20:57, 25 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

I think I’ve figured it out. I was ending up on "Category:All Wikipedia articles needing copy edit" page instead of "Category:Wikipedia articles needing copy edit," page where the articles are listed by month and year. Tioaeu8943 (talk) 21:15, 25 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Just to be sure, the monthly backlog lists are linked to from the drive page, from both the bulleted list in the first paragraph and the drop-down menu to the right. Dhtwiki (talk) 23:31, 25 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you @Dhtwiki for taking the time to help, and I’m looking forward to participating in the May drive. Tioaeu8943 (talk) 01:54, 1 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
