Template:Approximate track gauge metric

Duplicates {{Track gauge|500 mm}} → 500 mm (19+3⁄4 in) minus the word "about". If the calculations of {{Track gauge}} are incorrect, then that template should be fixed instead of creating duplicate forks. Gonnym (talk) 17:45, 10 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

the thing is, how do I preserve as much of the original info as I can while fixing invalid track gauge errors?

Unused, and I can't think of a scenario where this template would even be useful (what does the {{babel}} template have to do with templates like {{userlinks}}?) Propose merging Template:Uw-aadblock with Template:Uw-adblock.
Other than {{uw-ipevadeblock}} and the catch-all {{uw-ablock}}, this is the only block template that is specifically hardcoded to say "Anonymous users from this IP address". Given that we don't have {{uw-avblock}} for {{uw-vblock}}, {{uw-adeblock}} for {{uw-deblock}}, etc., and especially given the rollout of temporary accounts last month, I don't see any reason why this should be a standalone template, hence why I'm nominating it for merging. Comment @Gonnym, WikiCleanerMan, Asamboi, Lenticel, and Oreocooke: was going to NAC this, but looks like it now used... As it is used, should it be kept? The map in the template is outdated, should not be used and as of this moment is once again not used (because I just removed it).
As stated above, the map in the template is already out of date and cannot reasonably be updated to include the missing line, much less the three additional lines that will open in the next few months. Asamboi (talk) 05:07, 18 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

To closer note this template has been re-added at least once during this tfd, but seems that the template is currently unused due to being very out of date and in a state that it cannot be updated due to technical limitations of the format.

Nominating as I've had this on my mind for a while now, and using similar arguments from here.

I don't think I've seen any other list of members of a local government like a city council, much less for a local government from a the early period of the city. I don't even think I've seen any for state-level governments as well. I think that this is redundant to the articles that cover the lists, like the district and board president articles, especially since a lot of members don't have articles in the first place. reppoptalk 07:55, 10 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Nominating as I've had this on my mind for a while now. I don't think I've seen any other list of members of a local government like a city council, much less for a local government from a period of 10 years in the 1890s and 1900s. I don't even think I've seen any for state-level governments as well.
