The Black Parade is the third studio album by American rock band My Chemical Romance, released on October 23, 2006. A concept album, it is centered on the story of a man suffering from terminal cancer known as "the Patient", and his journey into the afterlife. The album was a critical and commercial success, reaching the top ten of multiple countries' album charts, including number 2 in both the United Kingdom and the United States. It has since been ranked as one of Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, and is considered by music journalists to be one of the most important albums to emo and pop-punk music.

If you're familiar with the 2000s alternative rock scene, The Black Parade probably doesn't need an introduction. So instead, I'll talk about how we got to this point. Both @Leafy46: and I started working on My Chemical Romance articles in 2024. He did it aiming for a different topic, I did it to just write about my favorite band at the time. And along the way, that ballooned into working on other topics. Following Bullets, this is the second album topic to be fully completed. To list out who did what: Orfen got the album to GA back in 2008 (with me doing maintenance to keep it in shape), Leafy did "Cancer", "Mama", "Teenagers", and co-nommed "Famous Last Words" with me, while I did everything else. Furthermore, I have assessed the notability of all 14 of the album's songs, its 3 B-sides, and other related subjects, and am confident that this is what warrants a standalone article right now. If this changes, then I'll come back here and make sure that's done and the topic is retained. I also want to thank the GAN reviewers: @RedShellMomentum: (x2), @Queen of Hearts:, Leafy46, @FishLoveHam:, @Gommeh:, @Fwedthebwead:, @MarioSoulTruthFan:, @Arconning:, @Pokelego999:, and @LEvalyn:. λ NegativeMP1 20:58, 27 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

  • Good stuff! Because I'm credited as a co-contributor, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to support this; I would if I could, though. Just checking to make sure that The Black Parade 2026The Black Parade 2026 is truly undeserving of an individual page? I see that you mention WP:NOPAGE and a brief discussion somewhere about this when you BLAR'd the page. Leafy46 (talk) 21:53, 27 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I do fully believe TBP2026 isn't warranting of one right now. Not only is it extremely unclear if it is truly a separate tour from Long Live (a lot of 2026 dates were previously under Long Live), but the article as of then still relied on previous knowledge of Long Live. You would've had to go back to the Long Live article to fully understand the new tour. Plus, the Long Live article is a lot more comprehensive and probably always will be. If this somehow changes in the future, then we get there when we get there. λ NegativeMP1 22:05, 27 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]
