- I see no need for sandbox, Teahouse or other assistance for making the edit that you reverted.
- Pls go to the end of the introduction to the article July Crisis and read. "Britain entered the war against them on 4 August, and used the German invasion of Belgium to galvanise popular support."
- The shift from the original term "violation of Belgian neutrality" to "Rape of Belgium" was and is a vile propaganda scheme in order to lie about the real reason of British entering the conflict, i.e. to prevent the French - and subsequently the Russdian - defeat.
- And this whole article Rape of Belgium itself proves the title term as being a propaganda lie. ~2025-39780-80 (talk) 15:24, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
- To be more precise. -
- The Germans had indeed invaded Belgium for passage into France. But they had given Belgium a clear and binding assurance that they did not want to occupy Belgium or wage war aganist its people. It was the Belgian government that chose to give up its neutrality and started a widely "irregular" and dirty war against German troops
- It appears to have been proven - and referred to as such in this very article called Rape of Belgium . that easily 60 percent of the accusations in the Bryce Report etc. was from more than dubious sources and consisted either of gross axaggerations or complete fabrications.
- The article mentions correctly that Germans mostly retaliated to not just hostile actions but to outright atrocities committed by Belgian civilians. The article correctly mentions the German "White book" - an official statement of documented facts. But the British hate propaganda never took it into accaount. ~2025-39780-80 (talk) 22:54, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
