Wikimedia events in Seattle

In the Seattle area? There are several events occurring this week and over the next three months that may interest you. Wikidata's 13th Birthday Celebration on Saturday, November 1 at the Capitol Hill Branch Library. Please sign up here! This is a notification, not an endorsement: Jimmy Wales, the co-founder of Wikipedia, will speak about his book The Seven Rules of Trust: A Blueprint for Building Things That Last on Thursday, 10/30. Details are here at Town Hall Seattle's website. We will have meetups on these Tuesdays at Little Oddfellows in the back of Elliott Bay Book Company on Capitol Hill: October 28, November 18, and December 16. We will celebrate Wikipedia Day, marking the 25th anniversary of Wikipedia's debut, on Saturday, January 17. Details TBA.
