Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions; however, please remember the essential rule of respecting copyrights. Speedy deletion nomination of Med-TSO

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Med-TSO, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. @The4lines:
Democratic, constitutional functions are evident in official works (de:Amtliches Werk). In Germany (and I hope in other countries, too) they are in the public domain (and aim for the widest possible distribution), as knowledge of them is a prerequisite for the functioning of society and the state.
The 20 member TSOs of Med-TSO are government agencies of States, and Med-TSO is a International institution (.org, not .com) Med-TSO is win-win to all participants (that is also the reason why ENTSO-E exists).

Writing about win-win effects can be misunderstood as advertisement style.

to my great regret, I nor can "visit the page neither its discussion page (where I have written to Tuillio? (Tuillo?), a newbie from Sudan active since three weeks (and has edited about Sudanese music, never about anything in the energy sector)
Please move Med-TSO incl. its discussion / Talk page to my namespace. thanks in advance, --Vieilissant (talk) 10:06, 17 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hello Vieilissant, when I took a look at the article, I saw that almost all the text was copied from url above. On the website, there is a pretty clear notice saying that all the text and images on the website are copyrighted and may not be used without prior authorization. We cannot host content that is copied and pasted from somewhere else without proper permission. I'm not sure what you're referring to when you mention "Democratic, constitutional functions" and them being in the public domain.
Unfortunately, since the article Med-TSO was a copyright violation, it cannot be restored onto Wikipedia again. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask. The4lines |||| (talk) 16:12, 17 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in the Russo-Ukrainian War. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose contentious topics restrictions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

Additionally, the following restriction(s) apply to this topic area:

 • Only extended-confirmed editors may make edits related to the topic area, though editors who are not extended-confirmed may post constructive comments and make edit requests related to articles within the topic area on article talk pages. Should disruption occur on article talk pages, administrators may take enforcement actions against disruptive editors and/or apply page protection on article talk pages. However, non-extended-confirmed editors may not make edits to internal project discussions related to the topic area, even on article talk pages. Internal project discussions include, but are not limited to, Articles for deletion nominations, WikiProjects, requests for comment, requested moves, and noticeboard discussions.

For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

French war planning 1920–1940

edit

Greetings Vieilissant, I have reverted much of the detail of your edit, especially your detaching of parts of paragraphs and leaving them hanging, interpolations from inferior non-book sources and excessive over-linking. I do not think that your edit was pointless but that it lacked a sense of proportion. Regards Keith-264 (talk) 09:44, 3 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

@Keith-264:
@your revert:
OK: Mechelen does not need a link because the Mechelen Incident is mentioned and linked in the next sentence.
but why not link Dutch Army and French troups ?
imho, it had in 1914 is very useful
because an average reader won't find the articles French Army in World War I and Western Front (World War I).
Why have you reverted conscription ?
I have been a teacher for decades. My conclusion / Summary:
Many well-read people have no idea how little many young people (pupils and others) know (see also Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA).
In Germany (where conscription has been paused ~2011) many young people even don't know what 'Wehrpflicht' is/was !
I guess that the situation isn't better in other countries - many of them are addicted to video games or/and TikTok.

Your submission at Articles for creation: Reschen Pass military memorial (October 19)

edit
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Absurdum4242 was:
This draft's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article. In summary, the draft needs multiple published sources that are:
Make sure you add references that meet these criteria before resubmitting. Learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue. If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
You’ve made an excellent start to the article, however, as yet it lacks sufficient sources which prove notability. It requires 2-3 sources which are reliable, independent, secondary sources, which talk at length about the topic of the article. Unfortunately the sources you have so far aren’t quite there. Hopefully you will find the sources soon, and we can try again. Good luck 👍
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Unattributed translations

edit

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from de:Osteuropa (Zeitschrift) to Osteuropa (magazine). While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution must be given retroactively, for example:

NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at :fr:Exact name of French article; see its history for attribution.

Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit; see Repairing insufficient attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted translated page template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 19:11, 8 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Your contributed article, Vondelkerk (Amsterdam)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Vondelkerk (Amsterdam). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – :{article}. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at :{article}. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. JTtheOG (talk) 08:56, 1 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Vieilissant. Your article has had to be deleted to avoid confusion. If you feel there is information missing from Vondelkerk church, you are welcome to add it to that article. Wishing you well for 2026. Deb (talk) 10:10, 1 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
PS. Another thing you can do, which I would support, is to suggest a change of name for the existing article. See Wikipedia:Moving a page. Deb (talk) 10:12, 1 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
thanks! :-) @Deb:
I am no native speaker, so I am lacking the 'feel for language' what a better article name might be.

Hi there, can you please explain this account's connection to Search'n'write? Thank you. -- asilvering (talk) 18:52, 2 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Asilvering:
In the last eight years, I have been working as a teacher (classes 5-11) in a dozen schools in Germany. In my lessons, I often have used Wikipedia to teach them media literacy and to demonstrate WP advantages (and weaknesses) to my pupils.
I also often tried to get my colleagues interested in it – with little success.
When I started at a new school in 2024, I used Search'n'write until the summer holidays – partly because I had to teach English at the time.
During the summer holidays of 2024, I decided to get more involved in the English WP and work on my English skills.
I didn't use Search'n'write any longer and use “Vieilissant” since then
(also because my students had seen my nickname - they needn't know what topics I write or have written in Wikipedia). --Vieilissant (talk) 16:00, 3 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
