Conflict of interest guidelines
edit
Hello, VicSpiteri. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Alkagesta, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the Edit Request Wizard), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Dreamyshade (talk) 16:34, 6 March 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for the reminder. I understand the COI guidance and I’m fully aware of the need to follow Wikipedia’s policies, especially when it comes to neutrality and sourcing. For clarity, I don’t have any external relationship with the subjects involved, nor am I editing on behalf of any company or individual. My comments on the talk page have been focused solely on sourcing consistency and policy compliance, which is why I’ve been raising questions about WP:RS and WP:BLP.
- I’ll continue proposing any changes through the talk page as recommended, and I’m committed to keeping everything within the required guidelines. I appreciate the note and will keep the COI and paid‑editing rules in mind moving forward. VicSpiteri (talk) 12:49, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- Could you please explain how you learned about the policies you cite in this comment, your 4th edit on this account? signed, Rosguill talk 15:41, 19 March 2026 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Blue-Sonnet. An edit that you recently made to Talk:Alkagesta seemed to be generated using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or other application using such technology). Text produced by these applications is usually unsuitable for an encyclopedia, and may contain factually inaccurate statements, fictitious citations, or other problems. You should instead read reliable sources and then summarize those in your own words. Your edit may have been reverted. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Blue Sonnet (talk) 16:03, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
This account has been blocked indefinitely as a sockpuppet that was created to violate Wikipedia policy. Note that using multiple accounts is allowed, but using them for illegitimate reasons is not, and that all edits made while evading a block or ban may be reverted or deleted. If this account is not a sockpuppet, and you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}} below. signed, Rosguill talk 16:47, 19 March 2026 (UTC) |
