Cockroach images

Hi. I'm honestly not trying to give you grief about this, but there's a few things to consider. The quality of the photos is excellent, it's not about that. It's also true that certain other photos in Wikipedia, even some on that same page, are unidentified - the difference being that the other unidentified photos cannot be identified reliably. Yours can. They are good enough quality, and of known provenance, so the proper approach is to obtain an identification first, and then add the images to the article, not the other way around. You might find, for example, that posting the images to iNaturalist will get an ID for you, at least to genus. You can then assign a category for the Wikimedia Commons copy that is more specific than "cockroach", and then add the images to the article. Another thing is that it also makes a difference how badly-needed an image is; if there were no other images in the article, then having an unidentified photo is better than no photo at all. The cockroach article, however, has a fair number of photos already, so the threshold for acceptance is a little higher. The final thing is that for articles that already have many images, if there is a "gallery" in the article, then the first place new images should be added is the gallery, not the main text, unless the image is added to a portion of text that needs an illustration. Are you sure the clash site is in Mzimba not Nkhatabay

My understanding is that the m1 road is the devider between Mzimba ad Nkhatabay, and i might have heard that the clash site is in Nkhatabay. Af265 (talk) 15:06, 28 September 2025 (UTC)

Even this article is indicating that the clash happened in Nkhatabay side of Chikangawa. Ofcourse i know that the other part of Chikangawa (left side as we coming from LL to MZ) is in Mzimba but the clash site is in the right side which is Nkhata bay. @Af265 I think Chikangawa is in Mzimba District. But for the article's sake, we can leave Nkhata Bay until further research. Even BBC just said Northern Malawi in the incident's first reports, than mentioning specific district. Do you know that a good part of Mzuzu city is in Nkhatabay not Mzimba?? apparently infranstructures such as the Reserve Bank of Malawi, Mzuzu Mall (shoprite), Sunbird Mzuzu hotel, Mzuzu hight court, Toyota malawi, ESCOM main offices (Not Mpico building) etc etc. are all in Nkhatabay part of Mzuzu city. On the other had , the other part is in Mzimba (eg. Taifa market, Zigwagwa market, Mzuzu airport etc).

Basically, the M1 road is the devider, whatever is on the left side (as we coming from LL to Mzuzu) is in Nkhatabay otherwise it is in Mzimba (Mbelwa).

Thats what i know hence im convinced that the clash site is in Nkhatabay not Mzimba, but the fact remains it is still in Chikangawa Forest. Af265 (talk) 06:03, 30 September 2025 (UTC)
