Your submission at Articles for creation: Valentina Pollarolo (January 28)

edit
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Robert McClenon was:
Thank you for your submission, but the subject of this article already exists in Wikipedia. You can find it and improve it at Valentina Pollarolo instead.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Two copies of this page have been created, in draft space and in article space. It is not necessary to create two copies of the same page, and it annoys the reviewers. This is sometimes done in order to bypass Articles for Creation review. However, if a submitter is ready to have the article in article space, it can be moved into article space, rather than creating a copy. It is common for a page that has been duplicated in draft space and in article space to be nominated for deletion or proposed for deletion.

If the article is kept, this draft should be redirected to the article. If the article is deleted, this draft may be kept for future improvement.

Does the author of this draft have any sort of financial or other connection with the subject of this draft? Please read the conflict of interest policy and the paid editing policy and make any required disclosures.

You may ask for advice about conflict of interest at the Teahouse.

If this draft is resubmitted without addressing the question about conflict of interest, it may be Rejected or nominated for deletion.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.

About the name of The biggest march of Chile

edit

Hey Tommy Boy. I was thinking of moving The biggest march of Chile to October 25 Chilean protests or something similar. Can you provide a source of the event being called "The biggest march of Chile"? Because it does not seem like the WP:COMMONNAME. Let me know what you think :)  Preceding unsigned comment added by Mcguy15 (talkcontribs) 20:29, 18 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • I think you should look for "La marcha más grande de Chile", since it occurred in Santiago, a spanish speaking country and city. Besides it is not just a protest hold that day; it was one of hundreds of protests held on october-november, it was the biggest, it was peaceful, it meant the constitucional referendum and the draft of a new constitution. Take a look for yourself!

And if you're looking for other juicy places to edit, consider expanding a stub, adopting a cleanup category, or participating in one of our current formal discussions.

Feel free to say hi on my talk page and let me know if these links were helpful (or at least interesting). Hope to see you around. czar 08:46, 24 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Your submission at Articles for creation: Jaime Vivanco (November 17)

edit
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Bonadea was:
This submission does not appear to be written in the formal tone expected of an encyclopedia article. Entries should be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources. Please rewrite your submission in a more encyclopedic format. Please make sure to avoid peacock terms that promote the subject.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Please rewrite this in a neutral tone, and try to write a little more succinctly and with more precision. To take just one example, "With this band he had the opportunity to record nine productions and play a catalytic role in the harmonies that imaginatively unite jazz with native sounds, in addition to participating in countless tours to the US, Costa Rica, Spain, Brazil, Bolivia, and France among others." – "play a catalytic role in the harmonies that imaginatively unite jazz with native sounds" is pure promotion, and it can't possibly be the case that he made "countless" tours. The draft also suffers a bit from unidiomatic phrasing, which might be direct translations from Spanish. That's a relatively minor problem, however, compared to the promotional tone.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
bonadea contributions talk 21:13, 17 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your comments. I think you are right. Actually it is a translated article which is probably made out of a chronicle and lacks formality and objetivity. I'll do my best to correct it. Regarding idioms, It might be harder to perfect, but can be better anyway. Tommy Boy (talk) 13:55, 24 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by CurryTime7-24 was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Hi Tommy Boy. Thank you for your work on Viviana Rodríguez. Another editor, Mariamnei, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Thank you for your work on this article. Unfortunately, it is not ready for main space yet. As a WP:BLP article, you need to back up each claim with a reliable source. Also, please add more secondary sources to establish WP:Note. I will be moving it to draft space. Feel free to republish once it meets the above criteria. Thanks and have a great day!

Unattributed translations

edit

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from es:Alex Zisis to Alex Zisis. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution must be given retroactively, for example:

NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution.

Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit; see Repairing insufficient attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. JTtheOG (talk) 23:25, 9 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
