Hello, ThoughtlessMcSheep, and Welcome to Wikipedia!

Thank you for your contributions to this free encyclopedia. If you decide that you need help, check out Getting Help below, ask at the help desk, or place {{Help me}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Please remember to sign your name on talk pages by clicking or by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your username and the date. Also, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field. Below are some useful links to help you get started. Happy editing! asilvering (talk) 00:55, 2 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hello back, if this is the official greeting! Believe me, goddess knows I need all the advice and support possible even on free-content websites.
Like I said at the other page, I have done this before even logged in, yet never for long and sometimes with disdain. I sure would like help of the desk kind or otherwise, though I am more likely to ask you first at least for a bit. As for personal signatures, I thought they always came up when logged and have never typed a naked tilde in my life, so that is a first for me. Also, please look at my user page as I am so annoyed that the first "t" in "Thoughtless" is lowercase and that the user boxes are not default-collapsed. Help fix it and/or watch my rubbish edits, and thanks again! ThoughtlessMcSheep (talk) 16:28, 2 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Here I assumed you wanted it lowercase on purpose! I've fixed it for you. Your signature will be applied automatically if you use DiscussionTools (ie, the thing that opens up when you click "reply") but not elsewhere - if you're using "edit source" on a page to write a comment, you need to add the four tildes. -- asilvering (talk) 16:48, 2 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hello again, I will attempt four tildes right just now. Also, hope you watch my edits, and give advice in future. Thanks. ThoughtlessMcSheep (talk) 18:29, 3 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

A cup of tea for you!

ArbCom 2025 Elections voter message

edit

Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:52, 18 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

I accepted your category request

edit

You mayn't be aware, but you have sufficient user rights to be able to do these category creation tasks yourself. You are welcome to continue to use the request process, but may appreciate the extra freedom give by flying solo 🇵🇸🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦🇵🇸 13:17, 2 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello there, thanks for the tragedy novels category. I did anon edits for many years till a top admin proved someone I know messed with me lots. Having made a logged account at their request, I would still like to get sanity checks on here due to those who get mad about categories, if okay. ThoughtlessMcSheep (talk) 13:51, 2 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Of course it's ok. I'll take the blame for what I accept! I have long ago learned that I know only marginally more than just about enough, probably! You set 'em up, I'll knock 'em down, or someone else will! Get it wrong and a trout is heading your way. 🇵🇸🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦🇵🇸 00:53, 3 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Ah, I see you're a man of culture as well. I am aged enough to remember ye olde trout-slaps on that just-died chat client, good times. As for editing, I am back on campus to research and teach, but have resumed runtime contributions. Please take all category-making kudos. ThoughtlessMcSheep (talk) 01:30, 3 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
