Request for guidance on AfC draft

Thank you for the review and for clearly outlining the notability requirements.

I acknowledge that the current draft Draft:Okon Nokhashkiev does not yet sufficiently demonstrate the subject’s notability through independent, reliable secondary sources, particularly in English.

The subject’s significance is based on a cross-border public role: serving as an official representative of a national sports federation outside his home country, specifically in the United Arab Emirates. This role places him within an international sports context rather than a purely domestic one.

At present, most substantial independent coverage exists in Russian-language media, which formed the basis of the Russian Wikipedia article. I am currently working on identifying and adding additional independent secondary sources, including international and Middle Eastern publications, to better meet the English Wikipedia notability guidelines.

I fully understand and respect the reviewer comments and would appreciate the opportunity to continue improving the draft and addressing these issues before any further review.

Thank you for your time and guidance. Jeemworks (talk) 21:52, 17 December 2025 (UTC)

Greetings! I’m going to start work revising this draft that you declined. One of your comments was, “The draft is also littered with external links which we don’t use in the body of an article.” Not sure I understand, or agree with, this assessment. All the embedded links in the main article are links to Wikipedia entries. Where I have referenced something external — say, from the musician’s personal website or his band’s website — I have cited that external reference at the end of the sentence or paragraph (superscript reference number). Most Wiki entries cite external links this way, so I’m not understanding your review comment. Please can you provide a specific example in my draft article where I have thus erred? Thank you. Draft: Citruslabs

Hi there, this is the second rejection for the Citruslabs company Wikipedia page, and I'm curious if you have any other insights as to why it is still getting rejected for sounding like an advertisement? The wording has been completely changed to a neutral tone, so any other insights would be helpful. Thanks Bbrockman13 (talk) 21:10, 18 December 2025 (UTC)

Draft:Danny_Cummings

(Sorry, I forgot to give this Talk comment a title…ooops!) Greetings! WandaL1710 (talk) 16:02, 18 December 2025 (UTC)

Well for example the "Equipment" section has 6 external links to musical instrument websites and the "Discography" section has approaching 200 external links NONE of which are required. Theroadislong (talk) 16:29, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
Greetings, I appreciate the time and effort. Two follow up questions, please: 1) Fair point, except I would think a Wikipedia entry, if claiming that X musician uses X brand instrument(s) as my draft article does, that reference(s) proving that is required, no? If the instrument brands have no Wikipedia entries of their own, then what is the article writer to do except by proof from said musician's website and/or external references to the brand(s)? That's what I did. I assumed all statements in a Wiki entry had to be verifiable. 2) Most all Wiki entries for musicians have Discographies. One must prove that the musician played on the album(s), no? What can be done to cure the Discography on Draft:Danny_Cummings, please? Thanks again. WandaL1710 (talk) 18:52, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
We have little interest in what instruments they play unless it has been reported on in reliable independent sources, the discography doesn't help with notability. Theroadislong (talk) 18:58, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
Ok, thanks. Understood. Would you rather see the section that lists what instruments he plays/endorses omitted entirely? If I omit that, and make the main article sound less "like a magazine article" and remove any "peacocking" verbiage (both of which you cited in your initial rejection), would you be more inclined to approve? I only ask this to gauge whether or not anything I do to revise this article is worth doing if you're not inclined to approve it at all. I'd rather not waste my time...or yours. Respectfully, Thank you. WandaL1710 (talk) 19:38, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
That section doesn't help with notability and is just fancruft, you need to ensure that he passes the criteria at WP:NMUSICIAN. Theroadislong (talk) 19:42, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
Yes, per an earlier review of the draft by volunteer @DoubleGrazing the musician passes at least 2 criterion at WP:MUSICBIO: Citerion #6: "a musician who has been a reasonably prominent member of two or more independently notable ensembles" -AND- Criterion #10: "performing music for a work of media that is notable, such as a network televiion show or film". Both criterion are met by references in the main article as well as in the musician's referenced Discography. I have deleted the "Equipment" section and omitted any "peacocking" language that you mentioned and re-submitted the article. I am interested in what other reviewers besides yourself think of the Discography, since such discographies are common to musicians' entries on Wikipedia. Thank you. WandaL1710 (talk) 20:01, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
@WandaL1710: please do not put words into my mouth, I never said this person satisfies MUSICBIO #6 and #10. On User_talk:WandaL1710#Help_me! I expressly said they do not meet #6, which applies to ensembles only. I also don't think (although may not have said so explicitly) they meet #10 merely by virtue of having played in an ensemble that performed on TV show or film, otherwise every single marching band member of every military parade in the world ever would be notable. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:24, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
Hi @Theroaedislong: As I am very new here, I sure don't wish to get into an editing war or upset experienced reviewers and editors. I have some specific questions. In your immediate decline on 14 Dec, you raised these specific issues, and here's how I "cured" them (thank you):
1) My draft is not in an acceptable "encyclopaedic" tone and needed to be "more neutral": I revised the draft, and I haven't heard more from you on this, so I assume it's now acceptable in "tone."
2) Delete "littered" external links in the body of the article: I took you to mean the main narrative portion, and all those external links in that section are now footnoted references. I will work on all those external links in the Discography very soon and resubmit.
3) Avoid "peacock terms:" they've been deleted.
Now you are raising "notability" concerns. If this is a major concern for you, respectfully, why did you not raise it in your first decline on 14 December? But since you raise it now, let me address your WP:NMUSICIAN concerns (I will note, other reviewers may not share these concerns; let's wait and see):
1) The subject musician has been the subject of at least two independent, non-self published, works, i.e. interviews in two independent drumming sites (my Refs. #5, 23 satisfy Criterion 1);
2) Has received non-trivial coverage in a reliable source of an international concert tour or a tour in at least one sovereign country (my Refs. #12, 15, 16, 19, 41 all satisfy Criterion 4);
3) Is a "member of an ensemble that contains two or more independently notable musicians, or is a musician who has been a reasonably prominent member of two or more independently notable ensembles." As I noted in my Draft, the subject musician has been percussionist/drummer/vocalist for Dire Straits, Wham!, Mark Knopfler, George Michael, etc......all of whom are "notable" and have entries on Wikipedia (and as such satisfies Criterion 6);
4) "Has performed music for a work of media that is notable, such as a theme for a national television show...or notable film..." (my Refs. 37, 38 satisfy Criterion 10)
Lastly, I wish to note that, by my count, over 20 current Wikipedia pages would redirect to my article were it to be accepted and published. (see https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?search=Danny+Cummings&title=Special%3ASearch&ns0=1) It is odd that this musician does not yet have a well-curated, direct Wikipedia entry, but his "brothers in arms" (see what I did there?!) all do, and they are all of the very same pedigree. Please don't quote WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS to me; if a comparable musician in the same ensemble has a page, they all should. I will leave that to other Wikipedians to hash out. I also wish to put on record that I have absolutely no personal interest in, or relationship to, said subject musician, other than I did note he was without a Wikipedia entry. Thanks for reading and for your time, sincerely! WandaL1710 (talk) 18:47, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
I'm sorry that you just don't seem to get the notability requirements, I'm clearly not very good at explaining. Your sources are predominately listings which merely confirm what he did, articles need to be based on significant coverage not mere mentions, we need sources that discuss him not list him. Interviews are NOT independent reliable sources, again please ask for further assisatance at Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Help desk. I will not review again and leave it for another reviewer. Theroadislong (talk) 19:18, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
Thank you for your time a critical review of my draft article. I have clearly listed the ways that this musician meets the “notability” criteria, but let us leave it to others for now. P.S. Even the Wiki definition of “ensemble” makes this musician eligible prima facie. Appreciate your help, though, and happy holidays! Cheers! WandaL1710 (talk) 19:38, 21 December 2025 (UTC)

Major edit: Draft:Danny_Cummings

Hello @Theroadislong -- glad to tell you that per your suggestions I substantially edited down the Discography in my draft. You won't find any external references in there anymore (it's a shame we can't use AllMusic or Discogs to *prove* the musician worked on this album in the absence of a Wiki page devoted to that album, but I'm following your suggestion here.) I see that some other musicians' Wiki entries have a "Other Appearances" section, and that looks nice, so I copied that format. (I wish I knew how to split it into two columns as others have, but I can't seem to figure that out!) Thanks again for all your time and review and let's see what other reviewers may think of it. Happy holidays to you and yours, Cheers! WandaL1710 (talk) 23:54, 21 December 2025 (UTC)

Clarification of Reliable Sources

Thank you for your December 8 feedback on my draft submission for an article on Peter E. Pylipow. I need help in better understanding the comments regarding "reliable secondary sources that are independent." The draft has many (20 or so) references to technical peer-reviewed professional journals (Quality Progress, Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers Journal, and Quality Magazine). How is it that these peer-reviewed journals are not reliable or sufficient? They are the leading technical journals of the profession. Thank you in advance for your explanation. ~2025-32432-34 (talk) 17:40, 29 December 2025 (UTC)

22 of your sources use "Expert Answers" none of them are verifiable, others are NOT independent since Pylipow wrote them. Theroadislong (talk) 17:54, 29 December 2025 (UTC)
Yes, Pylipow wrote the articles. The purpose of the draft Wiki entry is to give recognition to an expert in the field, thus the many citations of the articles written by the expert/author. Regarding "independence," that is established by the status of these publications as peer-reviewed journals - independent experts in the profession have to review and accept the articles. That is common practice to establish reliability/credibility for professional journals. Regarding verifiable, I see that some of the links for Quality Progress do not immediately get to the electronic version of the articles any longer unless you become a member and login or become a registered visitor. That is unfortunate as ASQ used to be more open with their content. Try to become a "Registered Visitor" and see if you get better access. Nevertheless, hardcopy versions of the magazines are available in many major libraries and thus are verifiable. And of course I could send you pdfs of each to prove they exist, and we could remove the hyperlinks to the ones that are no longer open access electronically. Would that work for you? ~2025-32432-34 (talk) 22:41, 29 December 2025 (UTC)
NO... we require independent sources that cover him in-depth and your purpose "to give recognition to an expert in the field" is against all Wikipedia guidelines. Theroadislong (talk) 22:54, 29 December 2025 (UTC)

Request for clarification on declined draft: Youverify

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to review my draft article titled “Youverify.”

I understand that the draft was declined, and I would appreciate your guidance on the specific reasons for the decision.

Any clarification or direction you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you again for your time and assistance. Victoriawrites&edits (talk) 13:58, 30 December 2025 (UTC)

Your draft tells us everything the company would like us to know about them, that is just advertising, it fails WP:CORPDEPTH and WP:NCORP and you have used AI to generate content against Wikipedia's guidelines. Theroadislong (talk) 14:13, 30 December 2025 (UTC)

Mark O'Leary

Thank you for taking the time to review my draft article titled Mark O'Leary. I understand that the draft was declined, and I would appreciate your assistance on the specific reasons for the decision. Any suggestions would be appreciated. You seem to be rejecting me quite a bit. I hope its not personal or you have a vested/conflict of interest, if you do please recuse yourself and stop rejecting my articles. ~2025-44190-69 (talk) 17:43, 31 December 2025 (UTC)

Please remember to log in before editing. Your draft is being declined by multiple reviewers, you do not appear to pass the criteria at WP:NMUSICIAN. As for me having "a vested/conflict of interest" please don't be so absurd. Theroadislong (talk) 17:47, 31 December 2025 (UTC)

Mark O'Leary

Yes, I would like to reiterate, if you have a conflict of interest or personal issues, please recuse yourself and stop rejecting these drafts, you are very wrong and perhaps are not qualified to hold such a position. This kind of ignorance is eroding wikipedias legitimacy. If you have personal issues go to another platform. Mark O'Leary 44 (talk) 17:49, 31 December 2025 (UTC)

Long time!

@Theroadislong, I just decided to check up on you, I mean, I haven't been active at AFC lately since I went for "Christmas" holiday in my village, and a typical Nigerian will tell you how network problem prevail. Well, I just saw few of your edits here, and would like to say: I understand your point but I, in another sense think it will pass AFD. I also wanted to clarify that you haven't join the league of "certain editors" who rejects the need for AFC as well as our acceptance of stubs. I just participated in that on-going discussion, and to be blunt, I am not happy how people couldn't appreciate AFC. It is well regardless. How are you doing? Happy Christmas and New Year too! No, it is a polite request. Ldm1954 (talk) 18:31, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
Ldm1954 I have no recollection of any "history"? The draft about your wife would be acceptable if the external links were removed together with most of the primary sourced content. Theroadislong (talk) 21:02, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
The external links are a minor issue. Let's discuss what are acceptable primary, secondary and tertiary in terms of WP:PSTS.
Using the current version, being conservative
  • Secondary: 2-5, 7, 18, 19 (established secondary source for not-for-profit information), 21, 25, 29-31, 34, 46
  • Secondary as a library copy of a PhD thesis (NPROF standard which not everyone may know) 6
  • Permitted primary which verify facts in the draft 1, 8-17, 20, 22-24, 26-28, 32-33, 35-45, 47
  • Standard award citing by a source, also a permitted primary use 48-54
  • Tertiary source 10
Summarizing, 14/54 are secondary, 32/54 are permitted primary, 7 are award verification and 1 is tertiary. All are allowed by policy under WP:PSTS.
Note 1, per WP:PRIMARY, noting the phrase A primary source may be used on Wikipedia only to make straightforward, descriptive statements of facts that can be verified by any educated person with access to the primary source but without further, specialized knowledge.
Note 2, a case could be made that 7 and 46 are also Tertiary as the list the Who's Who awardees. Ldm1954 (talk) 22:03, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
Ahh Ok, it's coming back to me now... the bludgeoning, Wikilawyering I will take your advice and refrain from further comment. Theroadislong (talk) 22:19, 5 January 2026 (UTC)

Editing while logged out

Hi, thanks for reaching out, however I haven't made any edit on Ryan Kavanaugh's page while logged out, I have seen the edit from the other editor and Yes! Variety is a notable source for Film, television and entertainment subjects and therefore that information should stay there. Thanks 2026-10154-2 Luciee254 (talk) 10:09, 7 January 2026 (UTC)

On the contrary it is a primary source (there is no such thing as a "notable source") and the award is NOT notable so should not be mentioned in the lead. Theroadislong (talk) 10:28, 7 January 2026 (UTC)
Hi, I don't want to look like I'm getting in a push and pull with you but can you stop accusing me of engaging in an editing war. Between me and you who did the revert as soon as it was posted? And again where else should the information come from if not from the primary source for film and entertainment? If the primary source from the film and entertainment recognizes Ryan Kavanaugh what creates the difference or bars it from being added in the free encyclopedia? Luciee254 (talk) 10:52, 7 January 2026 (UTC)
It is in the article already, it doesn't need to be in the lede because it is NOT a notable award! Theroadislong (talk) 11:16, 7 January 2026 (UTC)

Hello! I’ve added multiple independent and reliable secondary sources that provide significant coverage of Dr. Priya Punnoose’s congressional campaign, including a profile with direct quotes (Patch), local election coverage (Annandale Today, Virginia Scope), and participation in a candidate forum (WJLA). Draft: NOCCO (energy drink)

Hello, I saw that you did not accept my revised and improved version of the article Draft:NOCCO (energy drink), which was drafted back in August 2025 and I made some substantial changes to the article with the purpose of having a more encyclopedic writing style and tone, more references and more sources. You mention the article lacks in-depth, reliable, secondary and independent sources and information. Unfortunately, it is hard to find much information about the drink that comes from accepted verifiable sources. I understand it is not widely known, but it is not a small brand and sells to different countries. I am by no means associated with the enterprise themselves, I am just a casual enjoyer of that drink sometimes and it was the reason I wanted to write an article about it, and it is absolutely not meant as an advert to attract more people into consuming that drink.

If you could guide me on how I could improve that article to make it more suitable as a Wikipedia article, I'd be glad to hear your thoughts on this.

Draft:Surendra Kumar Munni is notable, according to Wikipedia:NPOLITICS: The following are presumed to be notable: Politicians and judges who ... have been members of legislative bodies at those (state or national) levels. Eastmain (talkcontribs) 11:44, 19 January 2026 (UTC)

Yes but to be accepted it needs reliable sources and The Times of India is not a reliable source. Theroadislong (talk) 11:46, 19 January 2026 (UTC)
Check the edit history for the page. The editor has been persistently trying to remove the {{AI-generated}} tag that I added to the page after G15 was declined. --Gurkubondinn (talk) 12:05, 19 January 2026 (UTC)

Question

Theroadislong, you’ve recently commented on my draft. There are basically no sources that have significant coverage of her. I know she is not significant. Sources I find prove her marriages, birth year, death date & age, father and mother, title(s) and an important event. Are those enough? Thank you for your feedback. Landonwantstoknowthat (talk) 17:59, 19 January 2026 (UTC)

No please read WP:GNG what did she do that would make her notable? Theroadislong (talk) 18:09, 19 January 2026 (UTC)
She was the only of her father’s descendants, and without her having children, Rohan titles were given to her cousins. She was the last of the senior line of the House of Rohan. Her case is similar to Elizabeth I, she was the last of her father’s descendants, and without children, the throne passed to her cousin. I believe this made her notable. Landonwantstoknowthat (talk) 18:19, 19 January 2026 (UTC)
Not unless there is significant in-depth coverage of this somewhere. Theroadislong (talk) 18:46, 19 January 2026 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Biesterfeld (company)

Hello Theroadislong. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Biesterfeld (company), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Revenue of €1.38bn (2023) is a credible claim of importance negating A7. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 19:47, 19 January 2026 (UTC)

hello there, thanks for your comments - I will reformat the references as you suggest, could you give me some more pointers on improving the article? I am a Wikipedia newbie. Andreaella20 (talk) 14:49, 20 January 2026 (UTC)

I have edited the first paragraph as an example of the style and tone that is required, you are attempting the most difficult task on Wikipedia with zero experience! Theroadislong (talk) 16:34, 20 January 2026 (UTC)
Thank you so much for guiding me, I really appreciate it! Andreaella20 (talk) 16:48, 20 January 2026 (UTC)

thank you, will do. I'm going through and making it shorter and more neutral, and will then re-do the referencing. Andreaella20 (talk) 16:56, 20 January 2026 (UTC)
Hello good morning. I've completely rewritten the submission and put the references in the correct style. Could you give me some feedback. It feels like it needs more detail, but I've kept it brief for now until I hear back from you. I've looked at the articles you suggested and tried to follow the guidance as carefully as possible. Andreaella20 (talk) 07:49, 21 January 2026 (UTC)
Well done, a vast improvement, but please note that interviews confer zero notability. Theroadislong (talk) 08:10, 21 January 2026 (UTC)
Thank you! I'm learning!! I will have another go at it later, will find some more evidence of notability to add to it and remove the interviews. Andreaella20 (talk) 08:19, 21 January 2026 (UTC)
I've just had another go at it and included some more sources. Can you let me know how it's shaping up? Andreaella20 (talk) 08:34, 21 January 2026 (UTC)
yes looking good re-submit and another reviewer will take a look. Theroadislong (talk) 08:42, 21 January 2026 (UTC)

Reliable independent sources?

Hello Theroadislong, thank you for the comment to my draft. ("tealcreekmusic.com and Discogs are not reliable independent sources.")

Might I inquire what criteria would determine that these are not reliable independent sources?

And, if I wish to provide a reference to the recordings other than the label listing, would any of the following be acceptable? - The artist's personal website - Spotify, Pandora, Tidal or other streaming service - Amazon or other online retailer

Thanks for any further guidance you might be able to provide.

Tom Tombersax (talk) 19:31, 25 January 2026 (UTC)

See reliable sources, yours are primary sources, but in any case you do not need to reference recordings. Theroadislong (talk) 20:08, 25 January 2026 (UTC)

Forest E. Johnson

Hi Theroadislong. I'm wondering whether you'd mind taking a look at Forest E. Johnson; it was created and submitted to AfC by someone who I believe is the son of the person the article is written about, and whose previous account is still indefinitely blocked. I don't think the AfC reviewer who approved the draft was aware of any of this, but it also seems that this reviewer is also fairly new and might've not given the article a thorough assessment. Since you're more experienced at this kind of thing, perhaps you could look things over. Technically, the creator created another account while blocked and their unblock request is still pending, and I don't know how AfC deals with accounts that submit drafts for review if their previous account is still under block. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:22, 26 January 2026 (UTC)

I will have a go at editing it later, the tone is VERY chatty and it is poorly sourced, I suppose it could be moved back to draft? Theroadislong (talk) 08:31, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
I've made a start there is more to be done, it seems astonishing that it was accepted at WP:AFC! Theroadislong (talk) 10:02, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
Thank you for taking a look at this. -- Marchjuly (talk) 11

Draft:American Peptide Society 2

Hello, you recently declined my draft citing that it "reads more like an advertisement." I have made efforts to address sourcing concerns and would appreciate if you could review the specific independent secondary sources I added:

  1. ProPublica Nonprofit Explorer (ref 2)
  2. FASEB.org (ref in Organization section)
  3. UNC Department of Chemistry (ref in Awards section)
  4. University of Bristol School of Chemistry (ref in Awards section)
  5. Chemical & Engineering News (ref in Hirschmann Award section)
  6. Wiley Online Library (ref in Publications section)

These are independent, reliable sources from institutions not affiliated with the subject. I have also disclosed my connection via {{connected contributor}}.

Could you please point me to specific passages that read as promotional so I can address them? Thank you.

Could you help me?

Hi, I have a rather strange discussion with Ldm1954 at a page they moved to draft Draft:Tenio Popmintchev with tendentious questions. Is it possible that you look at it? How can I contest this? Thank you. I hope that you can take the time to answer, Johnwilliamsiii (talk) 08:45, 26 January 2026 (UTC)

I'm sorry but I try to avoid ALL articles that this user is involved with. His manner is rather unpleasant. Theroadislong (talk) 09:04, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
I understand, but maybe you could give me some directions or opinions as to how I can 'fight' this? I take such implications/accusations very seriously. What happens if i move the draft back to article and request Afc ? ANY help is more than welcome. Thanks Johnwilliamsiii (talk) 09:34, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
That would be edit warring, I suggest you submit it for review by clicking the blue submit button and wait for another reviewer to take a look. Theroadislong (talk) 09:41, 26 January 2026 (UTC)

@Johnwilliamsiii (talk page watcher) The best thing one can do when one meets an editor whom one finds not to be to one's taste is to smile, nod, and walk quietly away from the creature, trying very hard not to disturb it.
Setting that on one side, I would take this on the chin, display the moral high ground by making sure it is as good as it can be with referencing, submit it for review, and exercise calm patience. 🇵🇸🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦🇵🇸 12:49, 26 January 2026 (UTC)

It is not clear in your review which shorts on which points and where in the submission you have responded to, and so not how it relates to the prominent wiki standards. Perhaps you may address it more substantiated.

(talk page watcher) @Acc ovw It is not clear from your draft how this person passes WP:NARTIST. I was looking at the draft earlier, and I was distracted before I submitted my review. I might have gone on to comment on the references, but I recognised that the template does that perfectly. 🇵🇸🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦🇵🇸 22:48, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
Thanks for your answer, I have re-submitted with a comment. The comment contains information on sources approved by me as editor and sources that are disputable and therefore are left out of the article on this artist.
Of course, anyone can add to this if it stands proof.
I foremost like to hear on which points the article is lacking: evidence/reference, importance/nob.
I am not an experienced editor. But I do know what is what. If I hold a paper encyclopedia, I would only want to see exhibitions mentioned that either meant a break through for an artist or for an art-movement that was significant in their/its initiation. The artist of my article has significance over a differing channel that had included peers and experts Verified in the article.
I'd like to hear your more experienced opinion on this view Acc ovw (talk) 23:25, 29 January 2026 (UTC)

Hi @Acc ovw, here's a quick run down that pulls the curtain back a little bit: Subjects of articles on Wikipedia need to be notable in the Wikipedia sense of the word. Literally, a test used to "decide whether a given topic warrants its own article." For an artist such as a sculptor, those rules are laid out at Wikipedia:Notability (people) § Creative professionals (which used the shortcut WP:NARTIST, that's what people are referring to). Therefore, your draft should show (using citations to reliable, independent, and secondary sources that contain significant coverage) that the subject meets that threshold. Hope that helps. TANGO-DJ.AT Database

Hi Theroadislong,

thx for your speedy processing of my draft. I wanted to ask:

The database has been mentioned in an article edited by an independent editor for an established journal/magazin for media and archivesj - info7. I used a quote from that article, but the original article is several pages long. Another article is currently being written by an independent person for a well known and established tango German magazin (Tangodanza).

I think those should qualify as secondary and independent extensive sources about the database the draft is about. Could you suggest of HOW to include those sources into the draft in the best possible way, so it meets the necessary requirements?

thx, regards, Bernhard BeG42 (talk) 20:00, 1 February 2026 (UTC)

Draft:Aviteur

I appreciate your comment to the AFC.

All content was entirely citation-based and sourced from reliable media outlets, including Robb Report, WWD, the New York Times, and the Financial Times. As you will see the brand has more than enough WP:RS and meets WP:NCORP guidelines. What do you think??

I realize calling it a "luxury brand" may have come across as promotional, but I have checked similar pages such as Gucci and Versace, and many others use similar verbiage, plus I made sure there were citations for calling them "luxury" such as WWD, arabianknightonline.com, Glamour and Square Mile. Let me know if this is one of the issues?

Please let me know what else you think sounds promotional on the page so I can revise them. Please provide some specific recommendations.

Much appreciated. Hairmer (talk) 22:41, 2 February 2026 (UTC)

Hello Theroadislong. Regarding the recent revert you made to Kray twins: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template index/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. jolielover♥talk 10:49, 4 February 2026 (UTC)

Peter Roach (Phonetician)

Please can you help? It looks as if you have added a COI notice to the article Peter Roach (Phonetician), but I can't see anything that's been added since the conversation on my Talk page where there was an objection to my making some factual alterations to the text. That issue was, as far as I am aware, resolved satisfactorily, so I can't see what I'm now expected to do. RoachPeter (talk) 11:33, 7 February 2026 (UTC)

Please don't edit the article directly you can instead request edits with the template {{edit COI}} on the article's talk page. Theroadislong (talk) 11:36, 7 February 2026 (UTC)

Hello @Theroadislong,

Thank you for the constructive comments you gave my draft. The blanket rejection gave by another editor seemed vague; you got right to the point.

I added multiple independent sources to back up claims made. It also gave me the chance to add more to the History section.

Thank you again. Have a great day!

Question about Draft: Hamza Ahmed

Hi @Theroadislong,

You recently declined my submission for Hamza Ahmed as a wikipedia page. I've linked the BBC's documentary about his impact as well as the guardian saying that he is "the most prominent “manosphere’” influencer in the UK" so I'm not too sure how else I can prove his notability?
